Good Morning Puma’s
As my family was eating dinner last night, I had to laugh when Lou Dobbs openly degraded the rest of the media for “being in the tank” for Obama. Especially one of those networks that tend to refer to the Obama campaign as a movement instead of a political campaign. I would like to add Newsweek to that list of “movement” media outlets. Perhaps Obama had his foreign policy advisor Winnie the Pooh recommend to Newsweek that they have Goofy conduct their polling. By the way if you haven’t read Newsweek’s article on the poll then I recommend you read it before you eat; otherwise you might lose your breakfast.

If you are interested in the million voices march the above website is where you go! There are lists of meetings being held in different states/cities. They are also talking about planning marches in other cities besides Denver at the time of the convention-would be held the same time all over the country

don’t forget to vote-right now 63% to 37% McCain’s favor
Good Morning Everyone,
I was just wanting to let you all know that I have contacted several people across the country that I know. I have people from Maine to even a person in Alaska. I had even told them that if they weren’t interested, please email it to someone that they may know who would be interested in joining our cause. Also, I was watching my local news last night, and wanted to vomit when the first BHO ad aired. John McCain has been running ads here for over a month now. I will be getting a list of newspapers together for WV and I will post them. Maybe if we all send letters, some will get printed. The newspapers tend to swing more Republican here, but they seem to be receptive to disgruntled Democrats lately.
Murphy, who has the member list? If there is anyone from West Virginia that lives near Charleston, there is a 10 day event called Festivall that began last night. The high costs of gas has put a stop on me going to just about anywhere. I just wanted to see if anyone in the area could print flyers and pass them out to the people attending Festivall.
If there is anything that I can do to help, please email me at mpayton23@yahoo.com

a discussion about the contrasts between S. Obama and S. McCain-focused on competence
The following written by Lynette Long
Hoodwinked
At the end of the Democratic Primary, one-hundred twenty-three pledged
delegates separated Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton. Senator
Obama’s campaign argued that the super delegates should follow the lead of
pledged delegates otherwise they would be stealing the election from Obama.
Originally designed to select the most electable candidate if neither
candidate received the majority of delegates on pledged delegates alone, the
super delegates could vote for either candidate. Afraid of disenfranchising
the large African-American base, they committed to Obama. Since Clinton won
the majority of the popular vote, and eight of the ten largest states, and
almost all the swing states, she was clearly the most electable. So, how did
Obama steal the election from Clinton?
Florida. After Florida moved its primary up to January 29, 2008, the DNC
stripped Florida of its delegates, impeded a revote, and delayed resolving the
Florida delegate issue. On May 31, 2008, the DNC Rules Committee, not wanting
to alienate Florida in the general election, decided to give the Florida
Delegation half a vote each. But if Florida’s delegates were awarded full
voting rights, which they most likely will get at the convention, Clinton
would get 104 delegates and Obama would get 78 delegates. Obama’s pledged
delegate lead would be reduced by 13 delegates to 110.
Michigan. Almost six hundred thousand voters went to the polls in Michigan
and of these voters, 328,151 voted for Clinton, 237,762 for uncommitted,
21,708 for Kucinich, and 2,363 for Gravel. The Rules Committee not wanting
to disenfranchise Michigan’s voters, seated all of Michigan’s delegates but
only gave them a half-vote each. In addition, even though Obama did not
receive a single vote in Michigan, the Rules Committee awarded him the 29
delegates for the uncommitted voters. They also decided to give four of
Clinton’s delegates to Obama based on “exit polls” causing Harold Ickes Jr. to
yell foul. Take the29 delegates from Obama, give the four delegates back to
Clinton and reinstate a full vote to each of the Michigan delegates, and
Obama’s pledged delegate lead is 38.
Texas. On March 4, 2008, Texas held its Democratic Primary, affectionately
called the Texas-Two Step. After the polls closed at 7 pm, primary voters
could participate in a caucus. Sixty-five percent of the pledged delegates
were awarded based on the primary results and the other 35% based on the
caucus results. Even though caucus voters, were required to have voted in
their precinct and were a statistical subset of primary voters, Clinton moved
from a four point win (52-48) in the primary to a twelve point loss (44-56) in
the caucus, a sixteen point shift and a statistical impossibility. Reports of
undo influencing, locking voters out of the caucuse, lack of validation of
identification, voters writing several names on caucus sheets, caucus votes
collected at the polls, bullying, and hundreds of other complaints, would
render the Texas caucuses invalid if investigated. If the caucus results
were normalized against the primary results, Clinton would gain five delegates
and Obama would lose five delegates and the difference between the two
candidates would be only 28 pledged delegates.
Caucus States. Thirteen states, besides Texas, had caucuses — Senator Obama
won twelve of them, another improbable event in hotly contested race where
popular vote is a statistical tie. The difference between the margin of
victory during caucuses and primaries again is another factor that calls the
validity of the caucuses in question. The average point spread of the 13
caucuses Obama won was 32 points. The average point spread of the primaries
Obama won, was 19 points. This thirteen point difference is the caucus
factor. If Obama’s lead in the caucuses was reduced by 13 points, a minimum
of 45 pledged delegates would be switched from Obama’s column to Clinton’s
column. The result would be a sixty-two delegate lead for Senator Clinton and
the Presidential nomination.
A careful review of the statistics shows that by every measure the American
people did not select the Democratic nominee. The DNC rules committee
influenced the election by punishing and then postponing decisions on Florida
and Michigan. The Texas Caucus, which was at best chaos, and at worst voter
fraud and manipulation, did not reflect the will of the people. The remaining
caucuses clearly showed Obama’s stronger organization but there are many
reports of also aggressive and illegal practices by the Obama campaign.
During the last few months of the primary the DNC, the pundits, and the DNC
Rules Committee pressured Clinton to leave the race and pushed Obama toward
the nomination over the will of the people.
On Tuesday, May 27, I attended a party where I found myself face to face with
a member of the DNC Rules Committee. Midway through the conversation, she
crossed the fingers and said, “I think we’re going to win. I think we’re
going to win.” I looked incredulously at a woman likened to a five-year-old
making a birthday wish. “Is Barack Obama going to be the nominee?” I asked.
I expected to hear, “There are a few more primaries to go.” or “We’ll see what
the Rules Committee decides.” Instead she stated with the conviction of an
adult, “Yes he is.” I handed her my business card. “People pay me to tell
them the truth. You’re going to lose.” She regressed to her five year old
self, “Don’t say that. Don’t say that.” Annoyed that the DNC had selected
the nominee before the end of end of the election, I decided to snap the
little girl back to adulthood. “Can Barack Obama win Florida?” She shook
her head NO. Can Barack Obama win Ohio?” “No.” “West Virginia?” “No.” She
was close to tears so I decided not to ask about Pennsylvania, Michigan, or
Georgia. Besides it’s not fun to pick on little girls.
Thats what I thought the well is running dry and he needs clinton to help I knew it jerk The DNC isn’t doimg much better way behind in thier funds only 4mil for the convention and they are suppose to have 25 million at this time. Al the little college kids are tapped out they wanted him to use public funding maybe he should have . And they need to stop saying it is on Hillary to fix the split in our party . The RNB need to come out beg our forgiveness for this mess and they still are not getting my vote it is going to MCCain. I have five friends who keep telling me they are going to join Punma pac thier are many who are p/c scared so I guess what I need to do is give them the address so they can donate.MSNBC has there fake polls out again .
I have convinced people not to vote for BO by emailing a group of youtube clips that expose BO. It seem to be very effective.
Good morning everyone, I have not being able to come in here for few days. This is an email I got from the organization “NOW” (National Organization For Woman) against Senator Clinton. Did any of you saw this?
“[T]here’s just something about [Hillary Clinton] that feels castrating, overbearing, and scary.”
Tucker Carlson on MSNBC
Dear Rebeca,
Last week CBS news anchor Katie Couric said, “Senator Clinton has received some of the most unfair, hostile coverage I’ve ever seen,” and ignited a firestorm among her colleagues in the media, who rushed to attack both the messenger and her message.
MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann went so far as to name Couric as The Worst Person in the World last Thursday for “her promulgation of the nonsense that Senator Clinton was a victim of pronounced sexism.”
You and I, and all of us who have been inspired by the historic presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, have been sick at heart at the unrelenting sexist smearing by the media, which has ranged from offensive to downright vile.
But the misogynists have now taken it further, and have made it clear that any woman, even from among their own ranks, who speaks out against the media’s sexism toward Hillary is herself fair game for their vicious attacks.
With your help, NOW will stand up against the sexist bullies with an expanded Campaign for Feminist Media. We are ramping up our on-going campaign that, for more than a decade, has been confronting both the media and the advertising industry over demeaning and degrading images and portrayals of women.
Your generous contribution will allow us to expand our media activism as we inaugurate the “Media Hall of Shame,” which documents the worst of the sexist media aimed at Senator Clinton during primary season, and gives activists an opportunity to Talk Back to the media.
As our campaign expands, we will continue to track the media through the General Election, and beyond — encouraging individuals to take ongoing media action as part of NOW’s Talkback Team.
We owe it to Hillary Clinton, who showed nothing but courage and dignity under fire, not to let the media treat another woman in this way ever again.
We owe it to all the women who have been inspired by Hillary to run for office themselves not to let them be subjected to the misogyny of the media.
Most of all, we owe it to ourselves, our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, not to allow a sexist media to ever discourage any woman from reaching for her dreams.
Please join with us by making a generous contribution, in honor of Hillary Clinton and the values we share, to NOW’s Media Campaign today.

P.U.M.A. PAC Fifth ALERT
Congrats to Puma Power
June 21, 2008
100 letters sent so far.
The fifth set of 1,000 Reasons Protest Letters was sent to Howard Dean, Chairman of the Democratic Party with a copy to Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House as well as a long list of TV and radio news analysts and commentators.
Howard Dean and Donna Brazile do not want any more letters from us and have turned off reception. We, however, are Pumas and we do not give up. With some cunning and wiley work-arounds the letters got sent and will continue to go. Do not be dismayed if the next set takes a little time – it will go!
Each letter was sent separately to emphasize the importance of the contents and the author and also to avoid being filtered as spam. These articulate and passionate letters come from Puma’s in 32 different states and territories and demonstrate the broad base (pun intended) that Puma power achieved within 2 days.
New states heard from in this set of letters:
Connecticut Nevada New Jersey Oregon West Virginia
Letters come from all these states and territories with just the first 80 letters:
Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Florida Georgia Hawaii Illinois Indiana Kentucky Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Nevada New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina Oregon Pennsylvania Puerto Rico Tennessee Texas Virginia West Virginia Wisconsin Washington Washington DC Wyoming
Congratulations to these Pumas. Your letters have been sent.

Good morning PUMAs!
I’ve heard FOX News ratings are going thru the roof while the others (MSNBC, CNN, etc.) have been tanking. Does anyone know if that’s true? I personally only watch FOX now, which is funny because at one time it was banned from viewing in my household.
#14 MamaPuma – if I wrote in the original thread on the 1000 reasons, should I resend or are your alerts for new senders only?
#9 mpk – thanks for posting! is that on the internet? I’d like to email a link to that to my on the fence friends.
I was blogging over at GretaWire and found this blog…
“Stop saying bad things about Obama!
He is our Dear Leader and Supreme Commander of the Democratic People’s Republic of Obama
I have his picture up in my laundry room and am organizing the neighborhood kids into the New Obama Youth League!
Yes We Can Rule the World! ”
==================================================
I found the above on another blog, and it is disturbing to me. Sounds like the middle East where they start training young kids……….. Are they giving them guns too……. ?
I have a picture of Obama up in my work shop too, it is Rev Wright driving a bus, and Obama throwing his Typical White Grandmother Under it!!
I am seeing more and more how D$$ Arrogant Obama is. He pushed Hillary out of the race before she should have gotten out, now he is acting like he has beat McCain in the General Election which has not even happened yet!!!
PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF OBAMA???
We had better PRAY this does not happen!!!

lots of people blogging over there about Nobama and stuff like the above.

Thank you for the laugh this morning it was the second one in about 10 minutes. I got the first one when I turned on my computer and my local internet posting of the top stories, one being the Chosen One leads in “NEW YORK Times” poll. Then as I go to log in here get to read the first post and got to laugh again. Must say I like your analysis of it better…..:)
Murphy if you are out there I sent you the tri-fold version of the “O” letter but I did not see on the puma pac action page yet. It is okay for me cause I printed mine and sent this a.m.
Also feel free to use the letter with different cover or message on side one….cause side two is our cause and mission.
I will be spreading Puma info flyers on the ground for those that do not have internet or cable access. I am researching my local community papers for possible inexpensive ads or free. Posting on local bulletin boards, senior centers and my senior parents are spreading it every where they go….bingo, senior breakfasts, casinos, they start up the conversation everywhere……my dad is the most upset over this Hillary stuff and for that I am VERY PROUD, truly shows what a WONDERFUL MAN he is (he is 84 yrs old).
Hope everyone has a great, happy and safe wknd.

I have all of the original letters safe and sound.
I am alerting Pumas because I think it is very significant that Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi and Donna Brazile receive at least 20 letters of protest each day with details about why each person is so dissatisfied.
I also think is is very signifiant that we are coming together from so far away in so many states.
I want each Puma to know that their letter will get to Howard Dean with the most impact possible.
Have a wonderful Saturday
Donna Brazile is unhappy again.
she just wrote
Who are you fooling? Tell Rush Limbaugh we want change!
Sent wirelessly via BlackBerry from T-Mobile. Please excuse any typos or grammatical errors.
here’s an interesting link, but I will also copy and paste to save time.

Sparks Fly at Black Caucus Meeting
Just What Was Said Between the Presumptive Democratic Nominee and Clinton-Supporting Congresswoman?

RSS A Thursday afternoon meeting between Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus grew tense and emotional for a moment — perhaps illustrating that weeks after Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., suspended her presidential campaign, some nerves remain frayed.
Most of the meeting was cordial, and after a presentation by Obama’s pollster, many members of the CBC had nothing but pleasant exchanges with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
But not everyone.
Sources at the meeting said that Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, a Clinton supporter, expressed the desire that Obama and his campaign would reach out the millions of women still aggrieved about what happened in the campaign and still disappointed that Clinton lost.
Obama agreed that a lot of work needs to be done to heal the Democratic Party, and that he hoped the Clinton supporters in the room would help as much as possible.
According to Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., Obama then said, “However, I need to make a decision in the next few months as to how I manage that since I’m running against John McCain, which takes a lot of time. If women take a moment to realize that on every issue important to women, John McCain is not in their corner, that would help them get over it.”
Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., a longtime Clinton supporter, did not like those last three words — “Get over it.” She found them dismissive, off-putting.
“Don’t use that terminology,” Watson told Obama.
Clarke did not react the same way.
“I, personally, as a Hillary supporter, did not take that as something distasteful,” Clarke said. “Nothing like that.”
But, Clarke said, Watson “latched on to those three words.”
In Clarke’s view, Watson thought Obama had just told her to “get over it.” She didn’t appreciate that, and she told him so and emphasized that it was a heated campaign and lot of healing remains to be done.
“I agree,” Obama said. “There’s healing on both sides.”
Obama then said two sources at the meeting said that he’d held his tongue many times during the campaign against Clinton in the interest of party unity and sensitivity. Clinton and her allies had suggested he was a Muslim, had said he wasn’t qualified to be president.
According to the sources, Obama suggested he bit his tongue every time. He could be asking for an apology, he could be asking for the Clintons to reconcile with him, but he chose to rise above it.
Everyone involved agreed that most of the meeting was cordial, and that there is unanimity on the need to work hard to elect Obama.
But clearly tensions remain.
Clinton and Obama are scheduled to put on a good public show for the cameras next week, regardless of any beneath-the-surface Sturm and Drang. The former competitors will campaign together and appear at a fundraiser in Washington at the end of next week

Similar but not the same as your story above. Someone called into the Steve Corbett show a few weeks ago, discussing a comment made by Gov Rendell before the PA primary. A comment this caller was questioning and hoping Corbett could shed some light. He ran into the Gov. and asked him who was going to win the PA primary. Gov Rendell said Obama would win the nomination. When this gentleman was taken aback, Rendell quickly stopped himself and said they are both good candidates. I listen to Corbett via the internet so I dont listen daily. Corbett is doing the operation turndown Obama. He said he was going to look deeper into this. Has anyone heard anymore about this?
Just makes you wonder what the hell is going on. I know Rendell is/has been in Hillarys corner, which is what makes this comment so odd.
Any light anyone?

I am quite scare with what is going on with hussein and the party

..that one day they elected a president and it turned into the worst nightmere
everything around hussein is:
NO TRANSPARENCY, EVERYTHING SECRET>>OPAQUENESS
NO KEEPING THE WORD, WORDS HAVE NO MEANING
CONTROLL, CONTROLL, CONTROLL, ETC
MANIPULATION, MORE MANIPULATION, EVERYTHING DONE IS GEAR TO POWER, NO MATTER HOW MUCH CHEATING HAS TO BE DONE, NO MATTER WHAT PRINCIPLES HAVE TO BE STEP OVER
THIS AGAIN LOOKS MORE LIKE A PUTIN´S CAMPAING

murphy@pumapac.org
hey pumas, perhaps I am crazy, but after watching and reading “THE SECRET” I think it might be useful to apply some of the knowledge. Why don’t we start thinking this ways instead?
Let’s stop thinking saying ” I don’t want Obama to win the Presidency ” instead, let’s say this
” I want Hillary or McCain to win the presidency”
Remember that by focusing on what we don’t want we attract it, and we WANT HILLARY OR MCCAIN TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY ”
Just my crazy one cent !!!!! LOL LOL LOL
#13 mcr – Thank you! Maybe I can start watching him again. That is hilarious.
Relatives of the little boy who was forced to go back to Cuba several years back, plan to demonstrate against BHO when he appears today in Florida; because some of BHO supporters were directly involved to have him deported.
#18 lotts1948 – it sounds so crazy I would hope it is a joke post. It sounds really crazy! when will MSM start talking about the crazed fanatics blogging such posts? creepy.
oscarp – that works. affirmation thinking. I’ve been doing it for weeks now. Hillary is our President.
#30 – ROFL – It sure sounds like a Puma wrote that.
#15 NeverMore – I wouldn’t be surprised. I knew something was going terribly wrong when Pat Buchanan started defending Hillary – every day! You know there is a serious problem in this country when a channel like Fox is suddenly taken seriously. I don’t hear any more jokes about the ‘fair and balanced’ bit since they are now more fair and balanced than any other so-called news channel. And how scary is that? Just when they start whining about not being able to drill ANWAR I have to change channels.
#22 oscarp -
yes we can (or the latin vero possumus as on his stupid seal) – ahhhhhhh
No we won’t “get over it” – what a great post. It is so *61 – he has demonstrated again and again how dismissive he is, how condescending, how arrogant, how sexist.
dragonfly, what if I tell you that I have even seen Hillary at the ceremony being sworn as President? it gives me so much happiness !!! I still focus on that image !!! I don’t let negativity take over positive things, I do yoga too, so maybe it helps integrate things. Honestly, if we all PUMAS think this way, we will be sending a unique message to the Universe, and we will get the answer we want!!
#30 Dragonfly #32 Notfallinginline
We do you assume that it is a joke or to even say on here that sounds like a Puma wrote it?
If it was a Puma that concerns me and does not reflect what I thought we stood for. We should be focused on our causes and actions and not be party to their rambling.
No offensive to either but I have seen and read similar things on lots of post sites.
I do not trust the Chosen Oneor his camp and I would almost pretty much say it is one of them doing what they do spreading their scary support for this empty suit. They enjoy that kind of thing.
Also the Chosen One does have children kits as low as age 2, teen programs, and has taken donations on his site from age 16 on up……that concerns me….JMO
#38 I’m sorry. I was kidding. I guess I need to be more careful with what I consider to be humorous.
1of18MilforHill08 #36
I don’t think that comment I copied here was a joke; but if it was, it sure did not work out as a joke. It scared some people and personally I think it should; because I believe his Youth program is very reminiscent of the “Hitler Youth” and that reminder of history repeating itself is beyond scary to me.
The only part of the post I copied that I thought could have been placed by a Puma was the reply to it that talked about that kind of comment being scary to them…..
to me, the first part of the comment sounded more like a typical Obamabot whose been drinking the Kool-Aid each and every day, several times a day.
There are also lots of posts on there regarding JustSayNoDeal.com and a lot of people wanting the link… so I provided one for them.

Our friends at Clinton Democrats get a bit of ‘chatter’ at AOL, albeit with a hint of condescention mixed in. So now we are all relegated to some sort of oddity called the ‘Hillary Clinton “Den-ver! Den-ver!” crowd’?
Hi Pumas. Finally figured out my password, but I’ve been reading, contributing, and doing the Actions all week.
I am concerned about Ed Hale’s letter to the Sun Times. It is poorly constructed. It sounds angry, vindictive and petulant. I understand and appreciate how he feels, but I think we need some editorial oversight. There will be many who will try to marginalize us if a few go over the edge.
I’m sorry to be critical but does anyone else feel the same?
By the way, I’m from Connecticut.

Like millions of us I am discussed, angry, concerned and YES scared about what went on in this Democratic campaign process and the unknown yet to come and mostly as a women feel it even more.
I am a proud, passionate, dedicated Hillary Clinton supporter (as millions are). I talked, walked, called, donated, wrote, wore Hillgear (and still do). I strongly believe that she will still be our nominee and be in the Oval Office in January 2009. Her and her family, all her loyal supporters, friends are in my thoughts everyday. She is and continues to be a woman of such strength, courage and determination that if leaves me speechless. To know that she has to fall in line and do as told by her OWN Party – disgust me.
So all I was getting at was as a member of Puma I want PUMA and all the other organizations that have the same beliefs, values and missions that we do to not lower ourselves to some of these ppls level… that is when we lose our focus and they start to not take us seriously.
After all ppl (all kinds) can come on here and see the post and I just do not want it to have a negetive impact on who we are……this is just how I feel. Once again no disrespect to any of you.
Thank You

All I was getting at was that I feel we need to truly represent who we are as Puma.
Why does the noname one have to play this game with the voters. Someone really needs needs to smack this guy back into the real world. The world in his head is very scary.

ACTION ALERT
“Hoodwinked” Please copy and paste what is below and send it to all the
bundlers and superdelegates. Lynette Long wrote it and has asked that it be
forwarded to all.

ACTION ALERT /PROTEST
The Jewish Community AND the Cubans are pissed.
JEWISH -From Denise
Subject: Shalom International to protest Obama in Miami on 6/21/08. This is
the first anti-Obama protest in the nation, since he claimed the Democratic
Nomination.
The Rebbe said that even on Shabbos, we must rally to save Jewish
lives.(Schneerson-’When Silence Is Sin’)
As you know, Barack Obama stabbed the Jewish community in the back within 24
hrs. of his speech at AIPAC in Wash.,D.C. on June 4, 2008, when he supported a
‘United Jerusalem’, and then reversed himself by siding with the Islamic Nazis
who want Jerusalem divided, which means the end of the Jewish State. ( We were
there at AIPAC as well with our signs).
Obama will be coming to Miami at the Intercontinental Hotel, Biscayne Blvd.
and lst St., Chopin Plaza….on Saturday, June 21, 2008.
Shalom International/www.defendjerusalem.net…… will be there protesting Obama
as ‘Bad For America and Bad For Israel’… at 10AM. We don’t know what time he
will address the National Mayors Conference, so we intend to be there with the
press in advance. A Japanese tv crew from Wash., D.C. is already coming down
for us.
We went to get our police permit today.(The Secret Service might move us to
2nd St. and Bisc. Blvd.).
Please let your networks know and join with us if you can. You can also stay
at nearby hotels and join with us even on Shabbos. This is very important that
we speak out and set the tone for this campaign and that Obama is Hamas’
candidate as well as Obama having a dozen key people who also support Hamas,
who are part of his campaign. We will bring that list.
Fla. is the ‘pivotal’ state for November and we intend to make sure that the
Jewish and Christian Zionist communities deny Obama any victory at the ballot
box in Fla. as well as in other ‘key’ states like Ohio, Pa.,Mo., etc.
‘Appeasing the Islamic Nazis’ is extremely dangerous for Israel and for
America, let alone having these people as part of his administration.
Yours in Shalom, Bob Kunst Pres., Shalom International (and Hillarynow.com
that started her campaign in Aug. 2003, went to 210 cities on her behalf and
1000+ media, but will NOT support Obama under any circumstances.)

CUBANS
This article explains the PROTEST. A little history… Cubans are hard
core in that the majority are 1 issue voters (issue being Cuba) 80% of Cubans
are Republicans, however that would have changed with HRC. Cubans really
liked her a lot… Cubans were really split 50/50 down the middle with the
Elian situation… no one agreed on how to handle it.

Actually the more bo does the better McCain will look.
I still want Hillary, some how, some way we have to get her in the White House.
hillfan, I guess we are on the right track !!!
N. Lee, great work !!! THANKS !!!
Yesterday, HBO interjected the race card once more, by saying the Republicans will try to use race against him. Does this guy GET any sleazier? By just letting him talk he is convincing more and more of us what a bad idea him being president would truly be.
MSNBC said OB was leading McCain 51-36, that was yesterday.
Great letter to Pelosi, Dragonfly! I think the word “are” was accidentally omitted: “PUMA pac and others ARE a part of the justsaynodeal.com …”
Thanks to all who work so diligently for us!
Did you hear that they are going back to the paper in many states because the electronic system isn’t fool proof.
I hate to be negative but I have lost faith in our election system and it needs to be changed.
N Lee – you do fantastic work. Keep them coming!!!

The more he talks the deeper the hole. We just have to wait and see how many people are going to wake up and smell the coffee.
I have a question. What happens when the DNC moves to Chicago, and OB is not elected?
I meant BO
I am hoping bo gets out there every single day and does more of his remarks. Remember he can’t speak without a teleprompter so he is going to be his worst enemy.
#60 Middle age female
Heck they make their own rules too so they will just move some where else. I am glad I became an Independent 2 weeks ago.
Obama’s decision to forgo public money in the general election gives greater significance to his efforts to capitalize on Clinton’s support for the general election. Her donors would be a
rich vein to tap.
First, however, Clinton needs substantial help retiring her debt. Many of her loyal donors have already contributed the maximum to her campaign, so she needs some new sources of money. That’s
where Obama comes in — his donors help her out, her donors help him.
“It’s far more productive for Obama to have Hillary 100 percent focused and engaged on campaigning and raising money for him in the fall rather than having to do fundraisers at the same time to
retire her debt,” said Hassan Nemazee, a Clinton national finance chairman.
“It would clearly make life easier for those of us in the Clinton world who would like to help Senator Obama raise the types of moneys that are necessary from the Clinton world to be in a position to point out, ‘Look what Senator Obama has done for Senator Clinton.”‘

Hey, everyone. I posted a first draft of a letter to Nancy Pelosi last night on the nighty-night kitten thread (see #62) Based on feedback, I have revised to a significantly different letter below. Please feel free to comment on the blog or email me your thoughts on either or both letters. dragonflypuma@gmail.com
(to be sent return receipt requested)
The Honorable Nancy Pelosi
Office of the Speaker
H-232, US Capitol
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Speaker Pelosi:
As a devoted Democrat hoping for real change, I write on behalf of the P.U.M.A. pac to request written verification that a roll call will take place in August. As the Convention Chair, it is within your power to ensure that it occurs.
Many disillusioned voters are gravely concerned that the Democratic Party leadership is no longer honoring the will of the people. Some hope, faith, and optimism about the Party would be restored if the Convention included the roll call process. Millions of voters supported Senator Clinton, and millions of voters supported Senator Obama. Senator Clinton received three hundred thousand more popular votes; Senator Obama received more delegate support. A roll call will provide much-needed transparency to the nomination process.
Madame Speaker, you have previously made clear that superdelegates should not be perceived to overturn the will of the voters. I agree. Nonetheless, many believe that only Senator Clinton can beat Senator McCain. Voters are looking closely at the revelations about Senator Obama’s weaknesses as a candidate and are having second thoughts, which they are no doubt communicating to those who will be representing them in Denver. A roll call will permit informed delegates to voice valid concerns.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to receiving written confirmation that you will ensure that a roll call occurs at the Convention in August. The Party can be unified by a process that permits nomination of the most qualified candidate capable of winning back the White House in November. The Party can be unified by a process that reflects that all votes counted. A roll call is a necessary step in that direction.
Sincerely,
PUMA Democrats

#63 hillaryistheone – what is the max donation that would preclude one from contributing to retiring the debt?
Displaying my age again but with both murphy and N. Lee on……is there something we can do with orwell’s book 1984? I don’t remeber all of it. Will need to check out from the library. I DO remember the one rule “all animals are created equal” later added “but some are more equal than others.” Fits FL and MI perfectly. I’m pretty sure there were 7 rules that changed the farm from a democracy to a communist state. It’s eerily happening now. If we could do ties with credit to Orwell but showing how #61 is using same tactics it can’t be tied to Hillary at all!
YES, HILLARY for President. Omit all use of the other candidate’s name…..the ‘presumptive’ one.
Apply the LAW OF ATTRACTION.
That is why many of the utube videos are scary. Many people do not get the satire or what ever…..all they see is Obama and think he is being emulated?
One needs to get done with the O praising Hillary and then Hillary’s album.

I found this at The Confluence:
“The Denver Group” is a Pac being formed to “insure that the Democratic National Committee respect and carry out the democratic process at the convention in Denver this August by meeting certain specific goals:
An open convention;
Senator Clinton’s name on the ballot;
Speeches allowed by supporters of Senator Clinton on behalf of her candidacy;
A roll call vote;
No coronation.”
We might want to hook up with them in some way.
http://thedenvergroup.blogspot.com/
Yes that is what I also think $2,300.00. When I donated I think I remember seeing that figure for the max amount
Good day Pumas,
Here’s a little good news. Seems May was the chosen one’s worst fundraising month in recent history. He is almost tied with McCain in funds, and the RNC has a gazillion more bucks than the DNC! Let’s keep the pressure on. Remember, if you contributed to the DNC this year, you can request a refund.
http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-politics/20080620/Campaign.Money/
Yesterday BO broke one of his campaign promises:
he will not take federal public funding. How can he be so sure that he will bring in millions of dollars for the campaign?
Something is very wrong here. Then there is that seal we saw yesterday. Why does everyone assume that he is already the President elect?
Why did McCain (the weakest candidate) suddenly rise from the ashes to become the Republican nominee??
Honestly I feel like we have all been set up, and this whole election is a done deal??
The question of where is Bill and why hasn’t he endorsed BO? He doesn’t have to, and I hope he doesn’t..
The DNC is further insulting Hillary by this unity tour..
They think she can convince us to “fall in line”. They can forget it. We are going to have our voices heard..
We will do everything we can to see that BO is not elected our President…
Gotta go now. Will be back later..
After Opossum’s FISA position, on top of his other reversals, (campaign finance, NAFTA, Iraq), there seems to be a lot more disappointment and discontent being expressed in the blogshere, and many don’t seem aware of ways to harness and channel that energy. I’m wondering if we should be promoting our specific political actions in the various blogs.
Thoughts?
1of18MilforHill and lotts1948 – no disrespect intended by asking if it was a joke post (the really crazy one indicating cult worship). I agree there is a ton of scary stuff out there reflecting that a cult worship mentality is in action here. I believe that the evidence shows *61 is unqualified, says what is politically expedient, uses a speech style that stokes false hope after creating fever-pitch fear (Knoxville Puma put it really well -wish he could repost what he said), and hypocritically relies on a preaching mode to cultivate the African-American base while adopting a liberal elite communication style to reach the wealthy left. He has changed his position so many times he seems to stand for only one thing: himself.
Can you believe this. My mother just got a letter from John Edwards asking her to donate money to OB. If you donate $25 the Democratic party will donate $50. They will match 2-1. And this lasts until June 30th. Of course they have our addresses since we donated to Hillary. Hopefully, I won’t get one. My mom sure won’t donate to them either. She can’t stand OB either. And she got a letter from Michael Reagan trying to get donations for McCain. I wonder how they got her address. Nobody in our family donates to the Republican party, yet.
Like I said I think this is a done deal. I can’t believe it is happening but look what happened in 2000. I have lost faith in the system.
#74 – I think that might make for a great ad. Show all the things he promised, like not running for prez and the campaign finance pledge he signed, and show which of these vows he’s already broken. And then show what else he promised and ask just which one of those promises is next on the chopping block.
#72 antifish – good reminder and good news!!
#78 NotFallingInLine – yep, that would be cool. I wonder if Elaine can do something like that with the talking points. I have also seen youtube videos that do that to show his flip flopping.
#77 No, the donation wasn’t for OB, it was for the Democratic party. Sorry for the mixup.
#18 I saw that post on a blog. In context it was meant to be satirical, and is if you read it in the context of the other posts.
“Stop saying bad things about Obama!
He is our Dear Leader and Supreme Commander of the Democratic People’s Republic of Obama
I have his picture up in my laundry room and am organizing the neighborhood kids into the New Obama Youth League!
Yes We Can Rule the World! ”
I think they can get names from the voter registar’s office. If you vote then I believe if you can prove who you are and what you want the info for either party can get names, addresses, phone numbers and your age is on there too. Talk about the privacy act !!!
#64 post of new letter to Speaker Pelosi – this is one of our projects, to get the roll call in August. Please give me some feedback if you have time to read the post above at #64 and also post #62 from last night on the kitten thread.

As someone working in the environmental field, I can honestly say that the bulk of the Democratic Party is just plain wrong on this issue about drilling in ANWR and offshore. I do think we need to open up the offshore fields before tapping ANWR as a last result, but there is oil in ANWR, and not wanting to get into to much of the specifics on how amounts/costs are calculated, many estimate enough to last us about 20-30 years just from that one source. And over the past 10-25 years technologies have changed to the point where we can economically extract it with minimal to no damage to our environment. Little know fact – mother nature actually does more pollution to herself from naturally occuring oil seepage into groundwater than we humans do through spills, etc. And importing oil from overseas, in particular, has the highest risks to our environment than drilling for our own oil here at home, because of the ways/distances we transport it – tanker spills, as we have seen in the past cause considerable, costsly, and long-ranging damage (remember Exxon Valdiez?).
So quite frankly, I’m a Democrat – but I honestly believe that the Party is taking this too far to the fanatical left. I love polar bears and all the other creatures that we share our planet with. I am one of the biggest advocates for those without a voice living among us. But, we do NOT need the government taking over ‘big oil’, and we DO need to move NOW to tap our homegrown reserves. Everything we manufacture and produce, and nearly everything we do requires oil. Waiting another 10 -15 years to even begin drilling our domestic reserves is unacceptable and dangerous to our economy and to maintaining our military strength. We have oil off shore, we have oil in ANWR, we have oil shale deposits in the west. Does it make sense to anyone that the Chinese and other foreign countries are moving to tap into the oil reserves right off our coasts but our own government refuses to allow it? Furthermore, it should be up to the states to decide if they want drilling off their shores, not the Federal govenment. It is just plain poor governing and simple political posturing for the Dems in this Presidential election year, to fight to not permit utilization of our own resources to the fullest extent when we already have the technologies and regulatory oversights in place to ensure that it is done cleanly and safely. They should be working in a bipartisan way toward helping to make us more energy independant instead of stonewalling just for political expediancy. And quite franky we the people need to fully educate ourselves as to what is going on and demand that our govenment take steps toward that goal as well. We do our share as much as we can, so should they.
Also, I’d like to raise the question – why is it that the little country of Brazil can achieve energy independance but the U.S. cannot? We’ve had the technological knowhow for decades now. Think about it. Here’s an interesting article on that very topic:
http://www.usatoday.com/money/world/2006-03-28-brazil-ethanol-cover_x.htm
Just my humble rant for the day. I’m off my soap box now.
bluesgal – hey good morning. Hope you are feeling better.
I will be on here later.
Been having a lot of headaches lately, no wonder with everything going on.
I’ll see all of you later in the day going to take two excedrines and chill for awhile.
TAke care everyone
#85 PA4Hill – I agree with you. I am an environmentalist and have opposed the drilling in ANWR but I have also learned that the technology for drilling is so improved that the benefits outweigh the costs. Also, the area to be drilled is a very very small part of the reserve and yet we can achieve independence from the ME during a time when national security demands that. So, I’m now for drilling for the reasons you described so well in your post at #85!
#87 DRAGONFLY
Hi Drangonfly!!! Yes, I am feeling better today. Thanks!! I like your letter above. You are a great writer.
#85 #88 – Ok. As a former resident of Ft. Wainwright, AK, I will agree to disagree with you.
#88 Barbara4Hill
I hope you get feeling better soon!
okay, got to go for now, my friends. Please please send comments, feedback to dragonflypuma@gmail.com re post #64 here and post #62 from last night’s kitten thread. Remember we can still have Hillary as our President – roll call in August is a necessary step to getting her on the ballot for Pres.
Keep growling PUMAs!
#84 Dragonfly,
I think the letter is well-written, respectful and to the point. I say let’s go with it.
#91 bluesgal
Thanks, I think it is stress. I never remember things being this bad in the past and I just have to chill and refresh with some positive thoughts. This has been wearing on me because I truly believe only Hillary can get this country back on track. I don’t believe in doom and gloom but if we don’t get Hillary in office then I don’t even want to think about the mess this country is going to be in.
Drilling for oil now will not deliver the oil for 5 to 10 years anyway. Why not use those years to develop alternative energies (or buy the patents for alternative energy running engines that are stuffed in BIG Oil’s vaults)? ANWR is expected to produce enough oil to sustain us for 6 months. When the BushInc talks about wanting only X many acres, what he isn’t saying is that land area isn’t contiguous.
Hasn’t greed and convenience wrecked enough of the planet at this point, that we should enthusiastically move on to an alternative?
Just a reminder, I’ve put a link up on the Action Center website to help pay down Senator Clinton’s debt. She needs our help to pay off her campaign vendors and consultants. According to her statment in her recent conference call, she does not want help paying off her personal money she loaned the campaign. However, she does need to pay her vendors and the other costs associated with her campaign. We need to help her so she will not be beholden to the no name campaign at some point to help her pay her debts. She needs to be able to cut those strings. No strings – no ties.
So please help out with whatever amount you can. The ’special’ link provided is from my leftover Hillraiser days during the camapign. It goes directly to the campaign’s donation page. And it has been confirmed with campaign staff that ALL money donated through her website goes to her campaign (by law) so rest assured you are not helping the no name campaign by donating in this effort.
Please visit the main Action Center page and click on the Pay Off Her Debt link there.
Action Center:
http://pumapacusa.org
I’ll be updating the donation meter there periodically throughout the days to come as donations come in so you can keep track of how we Puma’s (specifically) are doing with helping out through this very important mission.
We can’t wait till 2012
#96 PA4HILL08 on 06.21.08 at 12:42 pm
I should also note that this Pay Off Her Debt effort is an individual effort (by me) and all donations to Senator Clinton’s campaign by Puma members, are being made by the individuals representing themselves, and not as Puma members. This effort is in no way related to our PUMA PAC endeavors, nor should it be construed as such. Just wanted to make that distinction so as not to get Murphy in trouble with the FEC or any other entity. Hope that makes sense.
#95 It is also breathtakingly beautiful and anyone who’s seen the North Slope can tell you what would happen to that if they drill there.

BO CAMPAIGN REPORT
Being in one of the 18 states that BO is targeting according to AOL, I decided to go see one of his events scheduled nearby me for this morning 10am – 1 pm. It was supposed to be a voter registration and 8 people signed up. I even brought my PUMA sign.
I got to the area around 11:30 am but could see no BO supporters registering anybody.
I did take the time to drop off some flyers in the area.
I received this second email from the clintondems last night. I printed out the info in the link to answer the question of how much can be contributed.

I agree. Hillary is the only way our country will get better. She has my dreams for a better tomorrow. And I know she would work hard to do everything she said she would do. She is a fighter. I just hope the people that are supporting OB wakes up and spell the roses before it is too late. All this can really stress a person out, because we know that Hillary is the only choice. Like you said , she is the only one to get us out of this mess.
PA4Hill #98, exactly so.
Happy Saturday everyone!!!!! STORYTELLERS #25 & #68 Where in Europe? Is it France…? Thanks
what’s scary is that there are some people out there who don’t want to get our country out of this mess. Sort of like the great depression. Those with money can pick up properties cheap right now and hire help more cheaply. The rich get richer and the poor poorer.
Hello PUMAS

I contributed $100 for PUMA’s adverstising. This group along with the others gives me hope.
Comments on Senator’s Clinton’s debt & campaigning with *61
As much as I would like to help her, our biggest goal right now is to make sure *61 does not become the POTUS. It is amazing to me the excuses his supporters and the media make for him.
The key to breaking his grip on this country is through the media. Brian Ross had a piece on ABC News about *61 directing the pension funds of Teachers to some of the firms that are run by his friends. A few of these men are working with him on his Presidential campaign. These financial firms performed poorly and the pension funds were taken away from their companies.
We need to “follow the money” angle of his political campaigns starting in Chicago. His decision to opt out of GE’s public financing fits with his profile. He is attempting to buy this office.
Senator Clinton has to campaign with him. She is a Democrat, but I wouldn’t put too much into it.
Today, I would like to finish emailing the 10 letters to the superdelegates in my state and download the PUMA flyers.
The Watergate saga took two years to unfold with the resignation of President Nixon. In a way, *61 reminds me more of Nixon. Think about it, organizing a dirty tricks campaign (racism, sexism, alleged fraud at caucuses), having a tremendous amount of money at his disposal, and the need to control every aspect of his image and campaign.
Good morning everyone.
Just a little food for thought.
The quality of the food is up to you.
These issues are never cut and dry.
Los Angeles Times pictures.
Apparently, researchers found that converting land to biodiesel production actually increases the carbon footprint.
The rush to grow biofuel crops — widely embraced as part of the solution to global warming — is actually increasing greenhouse gas emissions rather than reducing them, according to two studies published Thursday in the journal Science.
One analysis found that clearing forests and grasslands to grow the crops releases vast amounts of carbon into the air — far more than the carbon spared from the atmosphere by burning biofuels instead of gasoline.
“We’re rushing into biofuels, and we need to be very careful,” said Jason Hill, an economist and ecologist at the University of Minnesota who co-authored the study. “It’s a little frightening to think that something this well intentioned might be very damaging.”
Even converting existing farmland from food to biofuel crops increases greenhouse gas emissions as food production is shifted to other parts of the world, resulting in the destruction of more forests and grasslands to make way for farmland, the second study found.
The analysis calculated that a U.S. cornfield devoted to producing ethanol would have to be farmed for 167 years before it would begin to achieve a net reduction in emissions.
“Any biofuel that uses productive land is going to create more greenhouse gas emissions than it saves,” said Timothy Searchinger, a researcher at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and the study’s lead author.
The studies prompted 10 prominent ecologists and environmental biologists to write to President Bush and congressional leaders Thursday, urging new policy “that ensures biofuels are not produced on productive forests, grassland or cropland.”
Got to thinking when I was driving about Hillary campigning wth Obama, wonder if the DNC set this up as a guise t try to get people so upset with Hillary that they’d think of it as a sellout and stop supporting her.
It ain’t gonna happen!
#109 Trish,
Yes, I’ve had that thought too. I won’t ever stop supporting her. The thought of her being coerced into stumping with him just hardens my resolve to defeat him.
I agree Trish. Makes me even more angry with them. She is still a viable candidate and has no reason to campaign for her opposition. Just more strong arm tactics. Maybe though she is using them by getting free transport and staying in public eye? Remember Edwards has only suspended as well.
Welcome Doria #42 from CT. We have some great Connecticut Pumas.
Sorry your comment got caught. Your posts will sail right through from now on.

Murphy,
thanks for the picture you put up last night, we had a great bit of fun with it
#95 DancesWithPumas on 06.21.08 at 12:42 pm Drilling for oil now will not deliver the oil for 5 to 10 years anyway.
_______________________
So you’re taking the same postion that we’ve taken for the past 20 years, that it’s there but it will take another 10-15 years for us to see any results from it – hence it’s not going to change anything or move us forward toward enregy independance? And just wondering where you get your ‘6 months’ reserve number from? Have you read any of the USGS survey data that has come out on the potential reserves in the ANWR region? FACT: Without actually allowing drillers to go in there and esplore, there is actually no way to actually ‘know’ precisely how much oil is there. But expert’s estimates are much higher than 6 months worth. All due respect, but it is exactly this kind of blatant throwing out numbers hoping they stick that irks me about the masses who are intent on NOT letting us use our own resources as a way of assisting us to move closer to energy independance. We treally need to educate ourselve more on these issues as citizens and demand more from our legislative ‘leader’. Think about it this way, if we had not thought that way 10-15 years ago and let our govenment stop domestic oil drilling and production, we would be 10-15 years ahead already in breaking our dependance on foreign oil, and we would likely not still be having this debate or paying over $4 a gallon for gasoline. And we would be that much further ahead toward overall energy independance. Part of gaining full energy independance is utilizing our very own resources to the fullest extent possible (take Brazil as a great example), and not relying on foreign governments to hold us over the proverbial barrel, which is precisely what is happening right now. We need ACTION on this front, not just a lot of debate (hot air/talk) about what it will do or not do to our environment. Especially when as I said in my previous post – we have the best technonlogies and government regulatory oversights in place NOW to tap every reserve we have. I say let’s move forward and not keep clinging to that antiquated debate that it won’t help us right now so it can’t help us at all. We need and use crude oil in one form or another for just about everything we do today, right now. We even need crude oil to run the tractors and other manufacturing systems that we need to grow many potetenial alternative energy sources. Have you thought about what would happen to our nation if suddenly we were cut off from all that overseas oil? Could happen – today and not 10-15 years from now. So, in my opinion, we can move forward on both alternative energy and developing new sources of domestic oil at the same time. But only if our government gets out of the way.
#109 I am sure the DNC is forcing her into this. I am sure things aren’t going as well as expected for the DNC and Obama. Obviously he is having problems. He needs Hillary to bring people (I should say TRY to bring people) to his side. We all need to stay focused and do everything we can. We are making a difference so let’s focus on Hillary taking the oath of office. We can do this together! I am sure Hillary is aware that so many of her supporters are fighting for her. She needs our help so let’s give it to her. I donated yesterday and put up flyers. Will put up more flyers today. Every $5 counts, every flyer counts and everytime we talk with someone it counts. Many people think she is completely out of the race so it is up to us to get the word out. Thanks to everyone for doing their part. Just stay positive.
Guys,
I think it is not so bad if she campaigns for him as long as she isn’t gushing over him like that woman McCaskill from MO (the show me state. I wonder what Obama showed her??). If she campaigns and does not get picked as VP then she can retreat; if he does she can replace him in October after he is forced to step down when all the dirt on him comes out. Bet they won’t do it before then because they’re afraid of a Hillary comeback…
#27 Oscarp Yes, that is very good advice. Focus on what we want to happen (Hillary to get nomination or McCain to win GE) not the negative. I have decided to vote for McCain and I am quietly taking every opportunity to pick up votes for him. I have two persons changed over already and 5 months to go. I live in Washington and most people vote by mail. So I am planning a “mark your ballot ” open house party election day. People who are not going to follow the chosen one need support and community and I am providing it. Also my Mom would always read up on the issues and mark her ballot as soon as the league of women voters pamphlet came and then photo copy it a bunch of times. Then she would always encourage everyone to vote. If they said they never know what to vote for on some of the more obscure initiatives and judge positions she would whip out a copy of her marked ballot and say “here you can see what I chose and of course make your own decision”. I think my Mother actually was responsible for about 25 cast votes each election. People would call her up for her ballot on election day because they wanted to vote and considered her informed and moderate. Good way to multiply your vote!
Hey, Murphy if Storytells is from France I wonder if she was Francine from France on Hill’s Site?? If yes, I would like to connect her with my step mom (Boubala) who is also from France and living in CA, she is a puma member also. I think when people know someone from their state, country or city it really is really welcoming. Thanks
absolutely casper cat.
our state pages are on their way.
until then, you or they can email me to connect them if they dont meet up here on the blog.
Good afternoon Pumas,
It is refresh everyday by hardwork of Murphy, to place the best quality and thoughtful image of Pumas and new thread up so that many Pumas can feely chart here. We should not forget to help Murphy by donte $5, $10, $20, whatever you can often, small by many will help the site running day by day…
Contribute ideas is another way to help out.
There are still way to go till end of August…
I guess I am just showing my past Republican colors with this ANWR domestic oil stuff. LOL. I’m refraining from any more debates on this topic because it just gets me all wound up. Yes, I used to be a Republican back in the day before THAT party left me. Now that what I though was my Democratic Party has left me, I’m just a moderate ‘person’ who is looking for a home.
Clawing in: #9 mpk – thanks for the Lynette Long article. That was so revealing.
MamaPuma – I thought I had done a letter for the 1,000 reasons. If not, I will redo. Do I just send it to you?
#85 PA4Hill08 – I am an environmentalist too and want our country to simultaneously, aggressively pursue all healthy options for fuel and energy, but I agree–the Chinese are out their just off the coast of Cuba sucking up huge amounts of oil to feed their rapidly growing country, (which they are polluting BTW), and our accessing some of that would hopefully only be short term. Like having to take some bad medicine to get better.
Murphy –any update on how much we’ve raised so far for the ads? I am jealous of all of you who can see them. My old computer can’t download the YouTubes–takes all day to “buffer” them, and then they are just weird. Have to trust you guys on their greatness.
—-Stress relief: I just hammered about 300 old rusty nails out of wood (to be recycled). I imagined that each one of those rusty nails was you-know-who.
Just received and put my “Democrats for McCain” bumper sticker on my van. Still waiting for my Hillary stuff from her site to arrive.
I am waiting to order a t-shirt from here till someone posts how the sizes run. I want to know the difference between a womens XL and a mens XL.
Hillary’s gotta do what she’s gotta do. Especially if she wants to position herself to be president in the future. It’s like a marriage of convenience. No matter what she feels like inside she’s got to look as if she’s giving it her all.
And we’ll do what we gotta do. Which is nobama!
This is in reference to MSNBC: My husband and I used to watch msnbc faithfully everyday. I really liked Keith Olbermann we also liked Chris Matthews and we liked CNN,but now we never watch it ,time and again we have switched back only to find them berating Hillary well now Keith has started on Cindy McCain last evening I was flipping thru channels and I heard Keith say Cindy McCain is attacking Michele Obama over something that happened 4 long months ago about the statement MO made about our country. keith blew it all out of proportion(by the way notice the initials BO,Mo,and KO) I have been trying to understand the obsession Keith and Chris have with BO and MO and then it struck me so here is what I think: BO’s mother had 2 son’s her first son (Keith) she didn’t think she could care for properly so she left him at a safe haven hospital then 2 years later a second son(Barack) was born and she left him with his maternal grandparents along with a uncle(Chris)Years past by and uncle Chris graduated from Holy Cross College, Keith graduated from Cornell University and Barack from Harvard and just like a chapter out of novel all three would go to make names for themselves in the media. Keith and Chris MSNBC and Barack the handpicked presumtive nominee for president Of the USA. So now we see why Chris and Keith have Barack on a pedestal. However, this does not answer our questions about the DNC and the other Hillary backstabbers, but a least now we know some of the story.I can’t say THE END here because we PUMA’s have not written the ending to this Fairy Tale yet!
update on protests in Miami against Obama
http://www.miamiherald.com/459/story/578618.html
McCain supporters slam Obama at mayors conference
As presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama prepared to speak to the nation’s mayors on Saturday, a small group of Cuban exiles protested outside the Hotel Intercontinental in downtown Miami.
About 40 older exiles from the activist group Vigilia Mambisa attended the noontime march, while about a dozen Obama supporters gathered nearby after police told them to move from the area because they did not have a permit to counterprotest.
The exiles are upset that Obama’s advisers include two men who helped return Cuban rafter Elian Gonzalez to his father on the communist island eight years ago. Obama’s foreign policy adviser Greg Craig represented Elian’s father in the custody dispute. Eric Holder, a member of Obama’s vice-presidential selection team, was deputy U.S. attorney general when U.S. government agents seized the boy from relatives at their Little Havana home.
Meanwhile, three Florida mayors supporting Republican John McCain’s bid for president slammed Obama’s domestic agenda, and defended McCain’s call to open up oil drilling along the U.S. coastline, as long as states affected had the final say.
Former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco, a Democrat who is supporting McCain, said his visit to Cuba five years to meet with then-leader Fidel Castro offered insight as to why the U.S. must not give up on drilling for oil even as it looks to alternative sources, too.
”Guess what I saw over there on the road from Havana to the Varadero [beach resort],” said Greco in a teleconference. “On the beach itself there were oil wells.”
In a meeting with Castro, Greco said Castro told the group: “I know you saw those oil wells. It looks pretty bad. I had to do that because we need oil.”
Obama’s appearance before the U.S. Conference of Mayors set the political stage to focus on declining federal funding for cities.
In prepared remarks handed out before his speech, Obama praised the mayors of various cities, from Chicago to New York for projects that pushed for environmental protection and ”green” policies to education reform.
” But you shouldn’t be succeeding despite Washington — you should be succeeding with a hand from Washington,” Obama said. “Neglect is not a policy for America’s metropolitan areas. It’s time City Hall had someone in the White House you could count on the way so many Americans count on you.”
“That’s what this election is all about — because while Senator McCain is a true patriot, he won’t be that partner. His priorities are very different from yours and mine. At a time when you’re facing budget deficits and looking to Washington for the support you need, he isn’t proposing a strategy for America’s cities.
”Instead, he’s calling for nearly $2 trillion in tax breaks for big corporations and the wealthiest Americans — and yet he’s actually opposed more funding for the COPS program and the Community Development Block Grant program,” according to Obama’s prepared remarks.
Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty countered during the teleconference that McCain’s tax policies will help small businesses and spark Florida’s economy to create more jobs. McCain’s plan, Crotty said, takes ”a very strong and thoughtful approach,” both “short term and in the long term.”
Miami Herald Staff Writer Myriam Marquez contributed to this report.
Love that excerpt from the article, “Is the well running dry for Barry?” Thanks for posting it. It made my Saturday.
I’ll print up my 100 flyers and start distributing them to spread the Puma effort.
“Groups such as PumaPac and Just Say No Deal (Democrats Against Obama), continue to gain support and media attention as they launch a massive “grass roots” effort to stop an Obama Presidency.”
Above is the excerpt from the article.

Also we are over the $10,000 mark for our Chicago Sun-Times ad. One thing is now for sure, we will run at least a 1/2 page ad in the sun-times. Please keep giving cause this is your country and only you can take it back. Thanks all

Greetings,
This is my first time blogging so please bear with me. I am a total Hillary supporter, just switched to independent along with my husband. We are in an area where the county went to noname but the state was won by Hillary!
I will do as much as I can. Most of what I do is by just talking to people, emailing, etc. and it does work. I love the idea of envisioning what you want to see happen. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
In my years I have always lived in “diverse” areas. I have seen John F. Kennedy at the Los Angeles coliseum, Bobby Kennedy at a Ball park, stood on my porch and saw the flames and smoke from the Watts riots and even saw the Beatles live at Hollywood Bowl. My life has been rich and varied and I wouldn’t trade a second of it. These days I reside in a rural area and have committed every fiber of my being to rescuing racing greyhounds.
Why post this? Because I feel it sheds light on the diversity of people here. You are all to be acknowledged. This is a good place, a safe place, where people with the common goal can come together. I love reading everyones posts, I may be silent but I am here, none the less. I believe that we can all walk the path, we can see Hillary as our next President and Thought is such a poweful thing! Bless you all.
Comcast cable TV service cut off MSNBC, so it will have NO K.O., no C.M. They are too much negtivity.

I also posted a new joke about HBO from http://www.hcsfjm.com on the previous thread. Here it is to make you guys laugh.
An Obama supporter who was on the fringes of good died and was met at the gates of Heaven by St. Peter. “As is our custom, you will spend one day in Hell and one day in Heaven then choose where you will spend eternity.”
The newly deceased breathed a sigh of relief and answered, “I can tell you right now that I am honored to be good enough for Heaven and that is my choice.”
St. Peter shook his head in the negative and replied, “Rules are rules. Prepare for your 24 hours in Hell.”
An elevator appeared and whisked the deceased downward, then with a thud, the doors opened and he looked out upon a massive gold structure with opened gates, and there were Obama signs and supporters everywhere without one McCain anywhere. They all welcomed him and had a feast, lots of kool-aid spiked wine, and they had every wish granted instantly.
After 24 hours, the elevator appeared and he deceased waved to his friends and was whisked away upward to Heaven. There was instant calm and peace as people greeted him with a quiet nod and went about their business. For 24 hours, he heard soft music and laughter, and noticed that everyone seemed to have a job to do, a purpose to fulfill.
St. Peter appeared and said: “Well, what is your choice?” he asked. The Obama supporter smiled broadly and replied: “I appreciate quiet of Heaven, but I think I’m more suited to the good times to be had in Hell, so that’s my decision.” He replied.
St. Peter nodded and the elevator appeared. When he reached Hell and the doors opened, the Obama supporter heard screams of horror and despair, saw his friends running from strange foreign animals who chased them with torches to set them on fire.
The devil put a hand on his shoulder and said in a booming voice, “Welcome”.
What happened? Yesterday, there was a country club here and the people were having a big party.” the Obama supporter cried.
The devil glared at him, “Well, yesterday we were running for office. Today, we were elected.”
I don’t know if you saw this one…
Critics say that Presidential candidate Barack Obama tries to “be all things to all people” and that he makes too many “pie-in-the-sky” promises. At a recent political rally, Obama tried to overcome these criticisms by emphasizing his commitment to principles. Afterwards, audience members lined up at a microphone to ask Obama questions.
The first person at the microphone said, “I oppose the war in Iraq. If you are elected, what will you do about that?”
“I will end the war in Iraq within two weeks of taking office,” answered Obama. “All our troops will come home, and I will simultaneously make sure the Iraqi government is functioning and secure.”
The second person in line said, “I’m an illegal alien. What will you do for people like me?”
“If I am elected,” answered Obama, “every illegal alien will receive U.S. citizenship, free health coverage, and a scholarship to the university of your choice.”
The third person in line said, “I’m a conservative. If elected, what will you do for me?”
“I’ll send that first guy to Iraq, and the second guy back to Mexico.”
Greytdays, welcome!
Thanks for the lovely intro. It’s good to have you here.
I wanted to ask you guys something. Please don’t laugh at me.
I am sending $30 to Hillary to retire her debt, can somebody match me please?
For those of you who read my post last night about chasing down a car with a ‘NoBama’ bumper sticker, yes, I did. He was a Libertarian and his wife a HRC supporter. I gave him flyer…… blah, blah, blah.
Anyway, He has had his car vandalized because of bumper stickers, so he uses magnetic ones that he can take off while his car is parked.
Good idea, for those of you afraid to have things on your car…

You are dead on right about the TX caucus. We went to our caucus at 7pm where we were locked out till after 8:30pm. Once inside it was chaotic, people held up signs with precinct #’s on them…we were told to gather in our precinct’s designated area, pushing and shoving our way to it. Once there we waited over an hour for a piece of paper to write our names on….anyone could have easily brought in a bogus list of names and handed it in. I heard there was a deadline for the counting and some precincts missed it, if true it means not all votes were counted. I will vote in another TX primary but never go to another TX caucus. I think the TX caucus should be under investigation…..it was a circus. If you were older, had small children, handicapped or other wise impaired…you had no chance, locked out in the freezing cold, then once in side no place to sit. I call that discrimination!!
One more rant then I will shut up….the piece of paper had no clip board….people were using the walls, each other’s backs, even the carpeted floor to sign!!

128 Pookie, Funny take on the MSNBC problem. I also used to watch Hardball most days but I never could sit through Olberman and I am watching FOX now although I had it blocked previously. All NBC properties seem to focus on the male 18-34 demo and all their channels have terrible ratings that are getting worse. I think many Obama supporters including Chris and Keith just want a sense of community and approval from a youth oriented group. The Obamaites I met at the caucus were a bunch of mantra spouting air heads. Several of them told me Sen Kennedy “never aspired to be president” and I was afraid of being burned at the stake for blaspheme after I brought up Saint Kennedy’s Chappaquiddick incident, which they thought I made up! The controllers of Obama have used tricks that have been used by religions through the ages but in America have not been associated with politics. Clearly some people who most likely have a need for religion but aren’t involved with one respond to the chosen one but it seems to me that folks who have a real religion in their life and folks who don’t have a religion and don’t need one are really put off by the tone of Obamaisim. Everyone is now aware of Obamaisim, I don’t see how a man with no substance can pick up any more followers and I would guess a significant portion of his followers will wake up by election day. Also the way to fight Obamaisim is by giving the non followers a sense of cause and community. If you offer cause, community, substance AND experience I don’t see how we can fail to defeat the chosen one.
Hi everyone hugs to you all. Hi Murphy did you get my e-mail with the attatchment???

They are holding a hearing on detainee interrogation techniques and she was questioning the person on the stand, she was being pissy, bitchy, all-around PMSy, and was looking at the guy like an ex-wife would look her husband!
You think I should send this evaluation of her questioning to the office and ask her if my comments are sexist?
Yets lots of goodies
I’m excited about my shirts too.
ED O’REILLY IS THE REAL DEAL
At least, let’s hope so. I take the word of some fellow Hillary Dems to be enough, that’s why I think if they support him any of us can feel great about supporting him.
HE’S FIGHTING JOHN KERRY, FIGHTING KERRY SPREADING LIES ABOUT HIM (Ani posted the other day on Bitterpoliticz) AND HE’S GOT ANTI-WAR AND PRO-HILLARY SUPPORT
Like Hillary, he’s working with a diverse coalition of people with integrity. Very wonderful.
If you can give him MONEY or VOTES FROM MASSACHUSETTS……..OR WANT TO HELP OUT ANY WAY YOU CAN MAKING CALLS FOR HIS CAMPAIGN………..MUCH CAN BE DONE, PLEASE DO IT! ANYBODY CAN HELP, HE’S A GOOD PLACE TO START.
http://www.edoreilly.com/
PLEASE SIGN UP TO “GET INVOLVED” EVERYBODY WHO WANTS TO GET HILLARY A PARTNER WHEREVER SHE IS, AND GET RID OF JOHN KERRY, LET’S DO IT!
Here’s his own words in answer to how he works with people– like I said, responds to questions sounding very experienced, has integrity, works well with others from anti-war support, to Hillary supporters backing him!
“In terms of working with other people….. (to me this was Hillary, but also want him to keep his diverse support including anti-war)………I have been a criminal defense attorney for over 25 years and I know how and when to fight and how and when to negotiate. I have done good business for these plus 25 years and haven’t done any advertising in over 20 years. Every client who came to me was referred through another person. I believe in word of mouth, as well as reputation, and have carried this philosophy over to this campaign.
More importantly, my strongest supporters are those people with whom I have worked during my law career. Most of my closest friends are people who have worked as Clerks, Probation Officers, Assistant District Attorneys, and police officers. There is a way to fight for principles in a very even handed and respectful manner.”
SOUNDS LIKE HILLARY, YOU ALL………HELP HIM DEFEAT JOHN KERRY WHO IS LYING ABOUT HIM RIGHT NOW.

[[ Similar but not the same as your story above. Someone called into the Steve Corbett show a few weeks ago, discussing a comment made by Gov Rendell before the PA primary. A comment this caller was questioning and hoping Corbett could shed some light. ]]
Has anyone heard anymore about this?
Just makes you wonder what the hell is going on. I know Rendell is/has been in Hillarys corner, which is what makes this comment so odd.
Any light anyone?]]
Don’t know if I was watching CNN or FoxNews, (think it was CNN)… when Ed Rendell was being interviewed and he did make that statement, but if I recall it was *AFTER* Hillary won Pennsy, after the DNC May 31st meeting; and just prior to Puerto Rico, South Dakota and Montana Primaries.
He was asked if Obama would get the nomination or the delegates needed to win the nomination; or some such question.
To which Rendell replied, Yes, I think it is probable that BHO will get the nomination, but I still think Hillary is better equiped to be our President. IOW, he was saying that although BHO could win Hillary was better able to win the necessary states in the General. guess what I am saying is, Ed’s response was a two-part sentence. Even so, he has since endorsed BHO.
And Heidi Li has info about him on her site. There seems to be a growing concencus that Ed O’Reilly HAS A REAL, STRONG SHOT TO BEAT KERRY BUT NEEDS HELP NOW.
AND THAT HE’D BE GOOD. Qualified, integrity, works well with others, diverse support, his long time friends like and trust him.
Ahh, sounds like Hillary………….she needs support wherever she may be working, Kerry is a liar who needs to go now. He doesn’t care about the Senate anymore, let’s help him out of that burden
PA4HILL08:
I just want to let you know that the mention of my preference for using snail mail to pay down Senator Clinton’s debt, was by no means meant to cast dispersions on you or your apparatus.
There are so many sites in which to make donations, and so many rules as to where the money goes after a nominee is elected, or selected, as the term may apply, that I’ve just made it my habit to send my contributions to Senator Clinton via snail mail.
Just so you know…

Obama IsThe Biggest Joke Since 7 Min. Abs
************************************
I think it is so pathetic the candidate of change continuously changes his position on the issues. The is not the kind of hope I want. I am tired of the empty speeches; empty because they have no substance. If Obama offers a policy issue on the campaign trail, chances are it was already tried. Nothing is new from the candidate except for his success with two words. Two meaningless words.
I am sure everyone would like to know Obama has raised $161,927 from lobbyists…..http://www.obama-wire.com/obama_lobbyist.htm
I am sure everyone would to know Obama has a history on the campaign trail of never taking responsibility for the actions of his campaign; instead, he passes the buck off on his campaign…..http://www.obama-wire.com/Apologies.htm
And now Obama has the audacity to suggest McCain will come after him on racial ground…..http://www.obama-wire.com/racecard.htm
This guy is the biggest joke since 7 minute abs.

I LOVED YOUR POST! Welcome, and I hope you come to Riverdaughter, Savage Politics, No Quarter (these three for info.) and Bitterpoliticz (for great community, we’d love to have you) as well.
P.U.M.A. — I love it! We ARE diverse and if the Democratic Party honored that and my vote I wouldn’t be an Indie/Ex-Dem like you right now.
New aol poll up to vote on “who do you want to win?” BO, McCain, or “someone else” (duh!), then the 2nd question, “who do you think WILL win?” (Here’s where I voted for McCain, so that the percentages don’t get split and make it look like Obama is ahead). PLEASE GO VOTE, as at this time, the percent for BO is higher!

151 Texas Puma: Same here. I went to the north Seattle precincts caucus. They rented a grade school and it was so crowded there was no place to stand. Many people were left outside or went outside just to get air. They herded us into a room and talked at us but no one could hear anything because there was no sound system. No one but young people could participate because you had to be able to stand in cramped, no air conditions for hours on end to participate. Many older, faithful Democrats showed up and were pushed to the side. We broke into precinct groups where all precinct captains yelled the same instruction simultaneously so it sounded like some bizarre feedback situation and no one knew what was going on then we started the timed discussion…”She is divisive and I just want to win this time”, “No one likes her, I don’t like her”, “Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton? we want change” ” I’ll vote for whoever can win and from watching TV I think that is Obama”. Then we voted and Obama came out with 67%. A week later Washington state held a primary which was 51 Obama 49 Clinton. But the party refused to listen to the Primary and went with the caucus votes. I don’t see how the Dems can win the general election unless they figure out some way to exclude everyone who can not make it to a caucus and stand up for hours with no air from voting.

Here is my response to the Sierra Club ( another ding in my Heart)
Dear Greg,
While I am not a member at this time, I have been in the past. I am shocked and disheartened at the Sierra Club’s decision to support a Democratic candidate who was ’selected’ by the DNC, and not nominated by the People of the United States, support the DNC, Obama and party elites who never stood up against the disgusting treatment of a former First Lady, a U.S. Senator, a candidate of our own party and one who is a die hard Democrat who has the best interest of this country and our environment in mind while drafting and implementing her policies.
We are one (PumaPac) of the grassroots organizations who are determined to never see Mr. Obama in Our White House. I suggest your organization stop listening to the networks and do your own research on Mr. Obama and his ‘friends’. We will be voting out of office those who have supported this travesty, and voting those in who still believe that this county belongs to the People, and that those in office work for us.

I dont know if the web master here is listing this site to the search engines or not… but do you realise that search engines, directories and crawlers, are documenting every single word. So for every time you mention BHO’s name you are PUSHING HIS RATINGS UP… when what you want to do is to push Hillary’s Website, her candidacy and her nomination.
I also think that there should be more HILLARY BANNERS ON THIS site… not that I don’t like puma’s… but then again, this is not an animal activist group, now is it!!!

I am thinking….
Come next thursday when Hillary is to appear with BHO, I will make my first donation to the John McCain Campaign fund.
I think if enough of us do that, it will slow his numbers down and we would be making a statement that Hillary supporters are not jumping UNDER his bus.
Then again, it could have the opposite effect; in that, instead of helping her to pay down her debt (because she will probably be getting paid to campaign for him) … She owes 22 milion, half of which is her own loan. So she really owes the campaign 11 million. Then again, I think she and her husband can pay it down even if we didn’t help out.
Just something to think about…
Hi greytdays
Welcome aboard.

Everytime our HRC has to go out there with any of them, I will contribute what I can to pay down her debt. She is my focus.
Good Morning PUMAS!
I’ve been doing footwork for PUMA PAC, I’ve printed flyers and distribute them door to door and wearing my PUMA t-shirt. Today I worked for three hours doing just that. It’s easy to distribute flyers, the hardest is when a person asked you all kinds of questions about PUMA, why we’re doing it, what we expect to accomplish against the mighty, moneyed, well heeled people. The flyer helps a lot explaining our goals.
From what I’ve gathered yesterday and this morning in my footwork, many people are afraid of NOBAMA/NONAME, they’re unsure of him what he stands for, what he had accomplished before seeking highest office of our country. Majority of them said he CANNOT BE TRUSTED, that is coming from college students and old people. Many have regrets caucusing for him in my state.
When you go out to distibute flyers, PLEASE WEAR YOUR PUMA T-SHIRT. As I’ve said before, we NEED VISIBILITY outside of the internet. I’ve left 100 flyers at a store, I know the owner. I ask him if he could put one flyer in the grocery bag for every customer that comes to his shop. He said a BIG YES right away, he said he would be happy to help us. He asked me if he can have a PUMA t-shirt like the one I was wearing this morning. I told him I’ll bring him one next week. I already printed the logo of PUMA, I’ll bring it next week to the guy making prints for T-shirt. PUMA logo on the left side of T-shirt. At the back of white shirt I’ll have the URL for our website.

At a recent meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus things didn’t go as peachy for Obama as he would would have liked them. In fact he seemed to rile up a few members with his admonition that Hillary supporters should just get over their feelings and come over to the dark side (no pun intended) and support him….”

We all HAVE to vote for McCain even though we want Hillary. People need to realize that just staying at home and not voting for BHO is actually doing him a favor, also wrighting Hillary’s name in is not going to benefit anyone but BHO. He will only be beaten if we vote for McCain as much as it pains us. He is not as bad as Bush or Obama. If we could vote for McCain for president and vote in a democratic congress, no damage could be done before Hillary gets another chance in 2012.
By the way, I just registered with PUMA and sent in my $100.
I see BO is leading in the polls 4-5%. Why does Newsweek have him up by 15%. That doesn’t make sense to me.

[[ dragonfly, what if I tell you that I have even seen Hillary at the ceremony being sworn as President? it gives me so much happiness !!! I still focus on that image !!! ]]
**********
This is an extract of something I posted to my own web site forum on June3rd of this year:
What I have been seeing in my mind’s eye are three scenarios, one for each candidate. I have been asking you see to try to gain some insight as to who will ultimately become our next president. (So in a way, I am trying to see if I am any good at futurist predictions)—see! Well here are the three scenarios I see in my mind’s eye:
3. Clinton Becomes Our President
She and Bill walk directly to the oval office, a room both of them are familar with. But this time, Bill stops at the door, stretches out his hand and simply says, “After you, Madame President.” She turns, looks at him, they capture a brief hug and kiss. He remains at the doorway, and she walks into the room by herself. Bill closes the door and gives her, HER moment. She walks over to that same desk, and with an eagerness; makes a phone call to her secetary (or whomever) is most responsible for her schedule and begins to read, and then to direct. When that first step is accomplished she calls her staff into the same oval office and tells them that this is their victory also.
2. McCain Becomes Our President:
Upon walking into the oval office, he is alone. Walks over to his desk. And in his John McCain style of stiffened posture (due to his war injuries) sits down with arms outstretched and forming a V as it were; and then in a Kruchef (sp) style pounds the desk with both fists and thumbs up, thinking: I made it! (And said with a grin or perhaps a smirk). Then he gets up slowly, turns and looks out the window (I dont remember if the oval office has a window or not), and standing with both hands on hip, (again forming a V) says out loud, but in a soft voice, I may have had to wait but its finally mine.. this is what I have been working for my whole life. In other words, I pick up a sense of entitlement with McCain. He still believes that he should have been President years ago and not Bush. So to him, undoing Georgie’s war is a huge egotistical challenge. In winning the war he will come up on top, for example. History will write it this way: Bush started a war, and McCain ended it but with Victory. (There is that *V* again).
3. Obama Becomes Our President:
He walks into the oval office with his wife. They both walk over to the window, gaze outward, but then just as quickly turn to one another; hug, kiss and end up having sex atop of the Presidential desk, making a mockery of the Presidency. They are both thinking: We made it babe… we are the first black couple to come this far and together we will change the world. The keywords here are *together* as if we are electing both of them. There is a sense inside of me that Michelle will be making decisions for Obama. There is also a sense of entitlement but in Obama’s case, he sees himself as the fulfillment of Martin Luther King. I walk away from this scenario with great trepidation because Obama’s motives are not pure. They are self fulfilling and shows a deep sense of audacity. There is no hope here but only trepidation. Not on their part, but on mine. In short, their motivation is to snicker at the white community. And if he becomes our President so too will the rest of the black community. Things will not get better here but worse because racial tensions will abound and we very well may find ourselves (as I have often said elsewhere) being held hostage to one small minority group, especially when the honeymoon be over. Hence, in this scenario a marriage of personalities goes way beyond Obama and his wife… it is a communial thing I sense; a form of commaradery.
Now, I ask you… If I am to listen to my inner voice, whom do you think I should vote for? And if I cannot vote for the candidate of my choice, who would be my second choice?

Because Newsweek is been bought by the no name campaign. In other word it’s produced and distributed by far-left folks who chose from the beginning to jump on the no name bandwagon and ride it right off the cliff with the rest of his followers.
Would not trust any of those ‘media’ run polls frankly. Especially this early in the game. As I recall, Carter (another changie hopey type candidate back in the day)got a huge bounce after he was named the (incumbent) Dem nominee in 1980 and carried a huge lead in polls through October before he eventually lost to Reagan in a landslide. My advice, just sit back and see how this plays out in November. We Pumas are still scratching and clawing all summer long for that 50 states loss!

Hi, I just want to vent for a couple of minutes.
Senator Clinton should be our nominee. However, for many reasons that have been discussed, it is not going to happen. Having said that, it is a real possibility that *61 could be the POTUS. As much as I would like to help her to pay off her debt, the thought of that man in the White House scares the heck out of me.
We need to do everything in our power to raise his negatives and bring the media out of their pods (The Invasion of the Body Snatchers).
It is hard for any organization to change course in midstream. Look, he has money, organization, the party, and the MSM backing him.
Again, it took 2 years for Watergate to evolve with President Nixon’s resignation. To defeat *61 with his power and money will take time, but we are slowly chipping away.
Go Team PUMAS!
I have a better idea… How about, come next Thursday when Hillary appears with BHO we split our vote by donating half to Hilllary and the other half to McCain.

I have great admiration for both Hillary and Bill. I also know that they are not perfect. They are in dirty business, but all things considering they play fair and don’t mind a good fight on merit, and they really want for the public good. But like Bill put it, this is a contact sport.
I have come to realize there are a lot of people in politics with great egos and frail self-esteem and who are extremely jealous, and McCaskill is one of them. She is a typical envious person…since she can never be as good as Hillary she has to force Hillary down to feel better about herself.

Hi Everyone,
I was just catching up on some of the posts. One that especially got to me was #22 by oscarp. I have to say “Way to Go, Girl!” to Rep. Diane Watson, D-CA. When I read it, the comment that ended with the “get over it”, to be honest, really pissed me off. That is just one more reason that I do not like that man. He has major flaws in his character and associations that I and many people around me have a problem with. We don’t trust him and actually never will. I guess that I’ll get back to catching up.

I like your idea of donating every time Hillary appears publicly with BO. It sickens me that he would use her to get votes instead of working harder to get our votes for himself. I’m so amazed that up to date, he’s either relying on scare tactics (Roe v. Wade) or relying on go-betweens, i.e. women senators, women governors, his wife, and now Hillary to plead for our votes instead of trying to “unify” with us himself. Well, he can’t use women and the Clintons to try to matchmake for him, he needs to win us over himself and not with sweet talk but with substance. Oh, I forgot, he HAS no substance and he knows it.
My only dilemma is do I keep contributing to Hillary to pay down her debt, or do I do as you suggest, and make my first contribution to McCain? If I do the latter, I’ll be sure to add the $.44 to whatever amount (e.g. $5.44) so that they realize I’m really a Hillary supporter first and foremost.

As much as I would like to help her to pay off her debt, the thought of that man in the White House scares the heck out of me.
——————————–
Appreciate your venting, however not absolutely sure what you mean?
None of us are advocating that we change course in our PUMA mission to help pay off Sen. Clinton’s debt. As I stated in a post earlier in this very thread, the pay the debt effort is a totally different thing that many of us feel very strongly we should do because her campaign was for all of us and we owe her as much as she owes us. And we feel deeply that we do not want her to be beholden to no-name in any way because she should be able to cut the strings from him to be able to work on those things that SHE feels very strongly about, like actual ‘universal’ health care. She should not be ‘used’ by the party or no name’s campaign to the point where she has to essentially waste her time having to ‘win votes’ for him and convince her fundraisers to raise funds for him, when her time could be better spent on working in the Senate or elsewhere for things that both she and a lot of us really care about – change brought about through action, not mere words and empty promises.
So I guess what I’m saying is that we are not making this our Puma priority, it’s just an action option for those of us who feels strongly that it is the right thing to do. By all means all PUMAs should be donating money and time toward meeting our PUMA goals. But if you can give a little or a lot to helping Sen Clinton, then we can do that too. Again, this is NOT an action affiliated with our PUMA PAC. Matter of fact the Action Center website and the ’special’ link are my own, paid from my own pocket. Eward, take no offense please, but some of us can chew gum and walk at the same time. That’s what we women do – we multi-task.

I call for Ms. Gandy’s replacement. She continues to sit on the fence around these issues. She has not taken a hard stance as yet. What is she afraid of?
I checked in with NOW periodically through the primary season, only to be increasingly disappointed in their lack of a strong voice against misogyny.
They threw a few crumbs, like the video page supporting HRC and now the “Hall of Shame” event.
Please!

We should try and defeat her when she comes for reelection or is she too strong?
Last night I posted a comment about this. Has everyone heard about Congress passing a bill that will allow the government to continue tapping civilian phone conversations. The bill also increased the Presidential power to step on civil liberties and for months was opposed and thwarted — but all of a sudden it got a large number of supporting votes. I wrote last night that I suspected Obama might be behind that sudden support since it would increase his power when he gets into Office so he can set himself up for his facist regime. Here are links on this topic. The ACLU is protesting the passing of this bill:

My only dilemma is do I keep contributing to Hillary to pay down her debt, or do I do as you suggest, and make my first contribution to McCain? If I do the latter, I’ll be sure to add the $.44 to whatever amount (e.g. $5.44) so that they realize I’m really a Hillary supporter first and foremost.
———————————
Another good question. I know McCain has declared he will take public financing in the general election so I’m not sure what would be better at this point. Anyone know how all that works with public financing and such?

Gaday PUMAs! Was up late last night and developed by letter to Hillary. As I said last night, seeing as there were pros and cons to hand delivering a PUMA letter, I suggested that each one write their own letter and send it to her headquarters, or the Senate. Individual letters are nice. So, after Firebelle fixed up some spelling, punctuation and grammar, here is the letter. I am printing it off now and we are on our way!! Plan to hand deliver some cast for Hill too.
Senator Hillary R. Clinton;
Dear Senator Clinton,
Please allow me to express my resolute respect and admiration for you and your long-term efforts on the middle class’s behalf. I am eternally grateful for your lifelong work for women, children, and hard-working men in this Country, as well as your strides to involve the minority communities within mainstream society by providing valuable tools to aid in this endeavor. I have been an ardent supporter and follower for many years, and will continue to support you with unblanched energies.
You have my support and understanding for what you now must to do: publically support Obama. You have said that you would do just that, and I am pleased that you are keeping your word and standing by your political integrity. I am going to say that I hope by doing such, you can secure a dominant place within the Democratic Party and continue to stand for the struggling middle class against the far right (and now the far left).
I urge you to continue to strive for fiscal responsibility, border security, and United States sovereignty by fighting the SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership group). I urge you to continue to work for healthcare, women’s rights, honest work for honest pay, the integrity of the hard-working middle class, the fairness lost in the NAFTA and other trade deals costing millions their American Dream after decades of work, and a nation united under a common goal and not one divided by race or financial position. I strongly believe that of all the candidates, you were the only one to bring such a balanced perspective to the Oval Office, and my dreams are slightly dampened at this time.
However, with all due respect, I cannot follow the DNC blindly anymore, expecting this Party to champion my hopes and concerns as I have trusted it to do for 40 years. The lack of character shown by Party leaders, the outright sexism and bigotry displayed, the disenfranchisement of millions of voters from two states, the slurred undertones of Black versus White, the condescending remarks about the hard-working middle class, and the blatant hatred for that middle class spewed over the wires, without rescript or action from the DNC, displays to me only the cogent disregard of integrity to achieve a higher predetermined goal. I can not in good faith, support a Party that has deliberately and disgracefully denigrated the political process to the level of victimizing millions of legitimate voters.
Therefore, I need to inform you that I will not for vote Barack Obama or the DNC. Neither Senator Obama nor the DNC reflects my beliefs, values, and respect for all walks of life in this great United States. The rhetoric is there; the actions are contradictory at every turn. Therefore, I cannot follow your lead by endorsing and voting for Senator Obama.
In closing, please let me say that I support your work in the Senate, and I will be of service as you deem necessary.
Thank you again,
I’m sure we could invite her in here. We could talk to her and show and tell.

More good news! Seems Obama’s support is starting to waiver because of his vote on FISA. Two back to back posts from his blog:
By T. Perry Today at 2:26 pm EDT
Yes, I heard that too, but this issue is really causing Obama to take a TON of grief from people who have supported him all along. I am not sure, unless he makes it extremely clear that he intends to use that poor wording to go after the telecoms, that this won’t cause a lot of problems for Obama. I would also suspect that somewhere along the way the poor wording is going to be corrected. I am a loyal Obama supporter, but I confess that even I would wonder how he could vote for a bill that seems to be contrary to everything he believes in. This situation reminds me of the run-up to the Iraq war when most of the Democrats fell in line with Bush and his cronies. I would hate to see that happen to Obama. He needs to stand up for what’s right.
Re: Obama will fight to remove immunity from FISA! | Report to Admin Reply
By NorCal Woman Today at 2:38 pm EDT
Obama gave a very a very wishy washy response to this FISA Bill. That is not good for those of us that believe it is wrong . Nancy Pelosi should be thrown out this November for lying to the people about all the wrongs of the Bush administration and then voting right along with him since she becae House Speaker. Everything those people do in Congress is for self serving reasons with no care to what the average folks think. These politicians are run by the corporations not the people and we pay for them to sit there and represent us. Obama must come out stronger against this or he will lose the progressive part of the Democratic Party. I will say this again-I thought Obama was an awesome primary candidate-now I see him wavering and moving to the center of his core message in the general. I for one am not that happy about it.

I agree. Gandy should be replaced. NOW’s little Hall of Shame campaign is too little too late. Frankly, I see it as a ploy to capitalize on the anger of feminists over how Hillary was treated. I’d thought about contributing to it, but, upon reflection, it seems too disingenuous.

I respect your viewpoint and pray that Senator Clinton’s campaign debt will be paid off.
However, I am looking at the bigger picture in case *61 really becomes the President. His money, backers, the MSM, and organization have already determined the nominee. This is bigger than Senator Clinton, *61, or any other political leader.
Under the guise of hope, unity, and change, he might take the reins of power. Stopping him is my #1 priority.
Every Democratic politician is beholden to *61 because it is his party. The fiasco rules meeting about FL and MI proved that.
It is not my intent to anger any PUMA. I want us to work together. However, I see a real urgency in finding ways to defeat *61 and that’s why I was venting.
It is my judgment, this election resembles the 1972 Presidential race. *61 could either be a Nixon or a McGovern. In Nixon’s case, the nation had to wait until he was President, and all the illegal campaign tricks were uncovered to finally remove him from office. Hopefully, in the 2008 election, *61 will lose.

I also read somewhere it was the purpose of Watergate to put forth the weaker candidate that being McGovern. Have you heard of that?
Yes but the seal when you see what the Egal holds with the arrows and how its done it looks lika a warrier type seal. Makes you think of someone trying to fight and take over the world and with his name the way it is makes him look like he is the big man and letting other countries think that. Afternoon everyone,
It’s conspiracy theory Saturday for me (and I guess for some of you also). This has been bothering me since yesterday, so I’ll share.
Why is big business so interested in getting Barack Obama elected president? What’s the connection? What have Al Gore and the DNC gotten themselves into? Al Gore and Carl Pope (chair of the Sierra Club and good friends with Gore) started “We can solve it” organization a few months back and soon after the Sierra Club decided to start endorsing products from big corporations (like Clorox’s new green line), which hadn’t previously been done before. Al Gore is also now on Apple’s board. The Sierra Club has now endorsed Obama and has asked their members to volunteer to get him elected. Then, a few days ago MoveOn.org (left -wing pac organization that is a major Obama supporter) let go of its 527 status so they could take corporate donations. What’s the connection here? Is it just a question of greed. When did Al Gore and environmental organizations sell their soul to big business?
Maybe this isn’t a coordinated conspiracy, but to me this stinks like when U.S. decided to invade Iraq because they supposedly had WMDs (when even high-ranking officials now say was a war designed to get oil). Is this all just about people wanting more money and the Clintons not wanting to play ball with major corporations?
Long story short, I don’t think I will continue paying my Sierra Club dues. If the Sierra Club is endorsing products then they are already making money. They don’t need my dues or volunteer work. They can pay people to work for them. I’ll volunteer my time to a local environmental group that doesn’t creep me out.
Best,
Lara08

VA Puma, awesome letter! How can we sign on? I love the idea of your hand-delivering it, but don’t put it in an envelope — apparently, all snail mail in envelopes has to go through a special center to be checked for anthrax before it gets delivered to the congressional offices.
I realize that if I only donate to HRC’s campaign every time she appears with BO, then it might seem like I’m rewarding such appearances. No benefit to BO, but no harm done either. Therefore, the stronger statement would be to donate to the McCain campaign every joint appearance, with the $.44 added on to make clear it’s a Democratic protest.

I might be a little late with this but I read about the ten tea ladies on the River D site; the following made me want to upchuck;
A vote was taken as to whether Senator Clinton should give a speech prior to the coronation of Senator Obama. The majority of the attendants thought that she should but that it might be a better idea for her to narrate the 15 minute film tribute to Senator Obama’s life and the achievements of his career. Senator McCaskill suggested that this might be a splendid opportunity for Senator Clinton to apologize to Senator Obama for running but this suggestion did not carry the day. Senator Lincoln (AR) thought that a sincere and polite, hand written note on personal stationary would be more appropriate than a public apology.
Are they for real, has the koolaid damaged their brain cells? Hopefully Hillary will not apologize for trying to bring strong safe and honest leadership to us.

I read the book “All The President’s Men” about Watergate. Nixon was obsessed with control and power. The irony is, he was going to win in 1972 anyway. It was the coverup, the lying, and all the illegal acts using governmental power that lead to his resignation.

My recent rant is about Michelle Obama’s comment in People magazine about how her brother went to Princeton and “I thought, well, shoot! I’m smarter than him! So I applied and got in”. Well, excuse me MO, but perhaps Princeton should have taken a closer look at your grammar usage because I believe it should be “I’m smarter than he (is)”….

These days it seems any crazy thing can be true. That’s what’s so dangerous about a manipulator like Obama…it gets too hard to figure out what is reality and what is propaganda, esp. when the media who should be sorting this out, won’t do it.
I believe Claire McCaskill was the original Stepford Wife…someone posted an e-mail they sent to her office-I don’t think it was this site but, nevertheless, it’s worth repeating-because it’s a hoot:

A Senator tried to call me yesterday while I was at work, but the voice mail cut off so I don’t know who it was. Hopefully not Axelgrease.
I really like N Lee’s video and will add that to my email letter. The next states I’ll do will be Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Mississippi.
I notice that some others are also writing letters to the Editors and that’s great. The more letters and info we get out there, the more coverage we will get.
It appears that the “buyers remorse” is beginning to grow. That means BO and his hoods will be getting more desperate.

Those that don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Sadly we are heading that way.
Sorry, it was #42. Anyway I just think the article for the Chicago Sun Times sounds angry and vindictive. It is not well crafted. That’s is a lot of money! I think there should be some editorial control.
- I heard on FoxNews a short while ago that May was the worst month yet for BHO, he onl taking in #22 million… but get his, they said his campaign is 304,000 in debt.
So I want to know, how come media did not reveal his enormous debt to us, but was constantly telling us how much debt the Hillary campaign was in with her 22 million, half of which is her own loan as a way and means to diminish her momentum near the end of the primary season.
re McGovern’s nomination -it was my first election and I was so excited-I was a McGovernite all the way-the night he lost I thought I’d died
The same thing is happening now I believe-we have a whole group of young people who are responding to the hype and I understand that-

Hi All,
Wow, everyday something new is developed on this website and it is so exciting!
Just a couple things. I know many of you are baffled by why Senator Clinton is out campaigning with NONAME. But truthfully this is politics. She still has ALOT at stake if she doesn’t do this right now.
1. She may be negotiating payoff or paydown on her debt so as long a she looks “cooperative,” there may a good chance it may put her in the red. If she is running in the red, she is still be a viable candidate and can then move forward to the dem convention. On the other hand, if she can retire her debt without any help from NONAME then she isn’t under any pressure to “perform” for the sinister dems.
2. When she goes back to being a Senator it may be very difficult to get anything she proposes to pass as members of Congress may be vengeful to her because she didn’t follow the party line. They will “freeze ” her out. We really need her healthcare to pass as one example.
3. She is a VERY smart woman and President Clinton is a very smart man and I am guessing they already have a plan of next steps but cannot divulge anything right now. DO NOT uderestimate them!!
4. Senator Clinton knows we are here supporting her and for now she has to project a united image but I am also sure she knows all about us and other groups and is may hope that we have her back while until she can find a way to change things. Trust me, I am confident there are people keeping her updated about things we are all doing for her.
So, please continue to support getting her debt down and showing that we will be here through the Dem convention.
Everything is negotiable in politics. For those that are younger and may have never worked in a large company environment, you will find politics in that arena, just not as powerful as it is in Congress.
So, my thought for the day. I think Senator Clinton should write a book about this ugly campaign and get it published right away. They know people who can help write a book and get it out right away. Pres. Clinton knows how to get books out pretty fast, I imagine.
This would pay off her campaign debt, could have money to finance her new campaign up until Denver or November and she has the support and we will be here to rally for her and make sure she wins.
GReat work all and great growls to you!!

I would continue everyone to keep helping Senator Clinton to pay off her debt. her
UtahPuma #300 — I did check into that weird message — I think it was just a fluke. Let me know if it happens again.
Just wanted to tell UtahPuma that what you are doing is amazing. Nearly every comment you make includes a list of concrete and effective actions you’ve taken.
Like all of us Pumas, you work alone but you are NOT alone. You’re an inspiration and a model of perfect Puma activism.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on drilling in ANWR. One of the things I like best about this site is the exchange of information on topics I know little about myself.

We can’t exert any control over Ed Hale’s web site or the letter. This is what they want to do, and they are willing to pay for it. They make no mention of PUMA if that what concerns you. I just don’t feel that their letter has anything to do with PUMA PAC. I agree it is an angry letter and would love for them to have been alittle more eloquent. But their style is different, for sure. It no way reflcts on you, unless you join in and sign the letter.
Interesting information I found on another, hope the links works.
Refusing money from Washington lobbyists and PACs alone is an illusion if underneath there is not consistency.
Just today:
Wall Street and the banking sector have given $19 million to Obama compared with $12 million to McCain through the end of May, according the Center for Responsive Politics and Federal Election Commission. Hedge funds, mortgage lenders, investment banks and private equity firms, which have been hit by the subprime mortgage and housing market crisis, are included in that group.
The trend holds true for a number of other industries, which are contributing more campaign funds to Obama, but flips on a few other business sectors:
- Communications, electronics and technology: Obama, $10.2 million; McCain $2.3 million.
- Construction: Obama, $2.1 million; McCain, $1.8 million.
- Health care, drug companies: Obama, $6.6 million; McCain, $2.5 million.
- Transportation: McCain, $988,000; Obama, $609,000.
- Energy: McCain, $1.4 million; Obama, $1.1 million.
- Agriculture: McCain, $1 million; Obama, $834,000.
http://orlando.bizjournals.com/...
Or how about this from the past:
Barack Obama often boasts he is “the only candidate who isn’t taking a dime from Washington lobbyists,” yet his fundraising team includes 38 members of law firms that were paid $138 million last year to lobby the federal government, records show.
Those lawyers, including 10 former federal lobbyists, have pledged to raise at least $3.5 million for the Illinois senator’s presidential race. Employees of their firms have given Obama’s campaign $2.26 million, a USA TODAY analysis of campaign-finance data shows.
Thirty-one of the 38 are law firm partners, who typically receive a share of their firms’ lobbying fees. At least six of them have some managerial authority over lobbyists.
“It makes no difference whether the person is a registered lobbyist or the partner of a registered lobbyist, if the person is raising money to get access or curry favor,” said Michael Malbin, director of the Campaign Finance Institute, a non-partisan think tank.
Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said that while Obama’s refusal to take money from lobbyists “isn’t a perfect solution … it does reflect Obama’s record of trying to change the way that Washington does business.” He declined to elaborate.
http://www.usatoday.com/...
Here’s another, going back to the start:
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is benefiting from the support of well-connected Washington lobbyists even though he has prohibited his campaign from accepting contributions from them and political action committees (PACs).
While Obama has decried the influence of special interests in Washington, the reality is that many of the most talented and experienced political operatives in his party are lobbyists, and he needs their help.
Mike Williams, the director of government relations at Credit Suisse Securities, said of the network of lobbyists supporting Obama: “I would imagine that it’s as large as the Clinton list,” in reference to rival presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), who is an entrenched favorite of the Washington Democratic establishment.
He said that while lobbyists cannot give money to Obama, they can give “policy” and “campaign support.” Indeed, K Street denizens have rare policy and national campaign expertise.
Williams is actively building support for Obama among lobbyists and the corporate clients they represent. While other Obama supporters have described him as a leading activist, Williams demurs: “I wouldn’t want to put my position as a spearhead.” He acknowledges that the gains Obama is making among Washington’s Democratic establishment are hard to see because Obama’s K Street supporters have kept a low profile. As a result, Obama’s K Street network is a stealthy operation.

My problem has always been the fact that he creates a different impression when he is just more of the same. It’s easy to discover with simple inquiry.

LOL!
remember ALLENDE
CHILE was one of the Latin American countries with most democratic tradition
therefore; that a communist president be elected, was no big deal for the country, they thought they were politically mature enough, it fell in the realm of the democratic game, there was nothing suspicious about it, but Oh Heavens, CASTRO went to Chile, and he started parading up and down SANTIAGO with the chilean army and the cuban army detachment that accompanied him , from that instant on the nightare started, of course there more facts to this, but it would be endless to explain(at this stage CASTRO wants to star running CHILE too)
What I want to point out is that we are in strange situation, the way this primaries were run, futhermore the opacity that surrounds the candidate in everyway,
the undemocratic behaviour of the party, and the braznly way which they are doing it
He is not the first one in history, that try to manipulate people shamelessly
and there are plenty examples in history of charismatic leaders that have turn the country into a mess or even worst into a totalitariam regim
Regarding Ed Hales letter. I also had the urge to proof it because it does sound angry. But many, many people are outraged about what the DNC has done. People have different styles and different modes of action. There is no reason why we need to talk to the DNC with only one voice. After all even we Pumas don’t all have the same way of dealing with the BO situation. I am voting for McCain, some are writing in Hillary, some are voting for Nader or other candidates and some are staying home. They are all legitimate responses to the outrageous behavior of the Media and DNC. I think that when the DNC is faced with the fact that many are mad they will have to stop stereotyping us
LOTS of sadness in Left Blogistan about Obama’s capitulation (surprise, surprise! right Pumas?) on FISA.

Regarding Ed Hales Letter,
I am not part of this letter. I do believe in the Freedom of Speech in this country. There are many voices getting louder and the DNC, Mr. No Name, the “pony party elites” and the superD’s/delegates need to hear all of them.
Seems the Kossacks aren’t particularly enamored of BO’s new seal. They have a diary up about it. I liked these two comments:
it’s disturbing to see Obama (4+ / 0-)
mimic the true presidential seal for his own personal device, and to stamp his own motto on it in Latin.
Only the president has the right to use the presidential seal. It is a symbol of the office, not of the man occupying it. And the fact that Obama’s marketers are now appropriating that seal for the man himself troubles me greatly.
by limpidglass on Sat Jun 21, 2008 at 01:34:25 PM PDT
When the Hill-folk freaked out about what they considered the Obama personality cult, I dismissed it as sour grapes.
In retrospect, I see that it was because I was part of that cult.
Well, thanks for waking me up, O-man. I’m not free – but at least my eyes are open now.
The seal is disturbing – but utterly appropriate in light of Obama’s “trust me not to abuse my power to spy on you” position.
Not only should he keep it, he should start putting it on everything.

McCain Raises More Than Obama in May
by Shushannah Walshe
Phoenix, AZ—
Despite Barack Obama’s unprecedented ability to raise millions of dollars for his campaign he actually raised less money than John McCain in the month of May.
FEC filings by both campaigns were released yesterday and McCain raised 22.5 million to Obama’s 21.9 million.

Chuckle good one Taffy.
As for the seal to me it shows two things:
1. a total lack of imagination and
2. Obama’s coveting of the Presidential office
Basically #2 means he has no alliegence to the Country, only his narcissitic self goal

In the larger scheme of things, $304K isn’t a big debt for Precious. Can easily be paid off. What I think is most interesting, is that its said that over 33% of his donations came from people who could afford to, and DID contribute the max ($4,600) for both primary and GE. This tells me that he’s going into the GE with 1/3 of his “Cash Generators” on the sideline. Don’t think that those unemployed, idle, Kool-Aid drinking students will be able to afford to give much more to him. That’s why he’s so anxious to get with Clinton donors – fresh soup for the pot. :>)
All, as promised, I would like to add some suggestions and thoughtful observations from a Hillary volunteer from N.Y. who sends daily observations and intelligently conceived , concrete “action items” that are helpful in us effecting the changes we would like to see. “All, Like me, if you want a democrat in the White House in November, HOLD ON. We aer on an ELECTABILITY WATCH. For those of who cannot even imagine BO as the Democratic nominee and who believe that to nominate BO is to elect McCain, the answer is still Hillary.
HRC delegates – please hold on.
Funders – please no & to BO or the DNC, not one penny!
Abstinence!
Everyone, please continue to remind the SD’s that their only job at the convention is to select the electable Democrat to take back the White House. Please select ____as your personal group and send individual or group updates each week from now until the convention. (see below). Together we will fight against the hostile takeover of our party by the Obama, Pelosi, Dean and Reid coup. 18,000,000 of us can do it if we stay together and do not fragment.
for those of you who want to vet McCain, please wait, at least until after August 18th. There will be time for all of us to make individual decisions depending on the honor or dishonor of the Democratic convention.
To focus on ELECTABILITY, I will print opinions, information and events which I believe advances this approach and which also supports a veto proof Congress. Please send your thoughts as well.
1. Your personal 18. Please select 18 SD’s to correspond with, you know personally or have given funds to, met at an event or share some experience with. This will help you determine what electability information would be of mot influence on their decision. If everyone reading this forwards this to others, we will have a no-cost, thoughtful national conversation which can result in the nomination of Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States.
Sample Letter: Dear:
On June 7, Senator Clinton, suspended, not ended her campaign. Like many other Democrats across the country, I am writing to 18 Super Delegates, one for every million votes Senator Clinton received, whose only job at the convention this summer is to pick the electable candidate in November. I believe that candidate is Senator Hillary Clinton and that she is the person who can return the Democrats to the White House, a goal we all share. (for HRC Sds, please thank them at delegatehub.wordpress.com) “In the coming weeks we will be writing to Super Delegates about Hillary’s electability, and why we believe that BO is not qualified to be president, or fit based on his own three criteria: Values, Judgement and Experience…(add links or info you think most persuasive). Thank you for your attention to myu point of view on the all-important issue of electability and your critical role in returning a Democrat to the White House.

It seems to me that most organizations have become lazy over the past years and N.O.W. is no exception. They have become self serving and have been bought by politicians and corporate america. They are now puppets.
It takes a moment in time such as we are in to shake it from the ground up. We are making history right now, and I, for one, find that exhilarating. It’s hard work, but we can do it. We will send a message to the world.
Years from now they will be reading and talking about 2008 when the parties realigned and millions revolted against the system.
I pledge to work hard to keep Obama out of the White House. I don’t care if THEY know why; I know.

Republicans have hammered Michelle Obama for her remarks in February that she was proud of America “for the first time in my adult life.” Tonight, however, Dan Abrams showed footage he uncovered of a Fox News interview with John McCain on March 13, 2008, in which McCain said, “I didn’t really love America until I was deprived of her company.”
Abrams thinks McCain’s comments could undermine the “right wing’s steady attacks against Michelle Obama.”

antifish 323, it’s about fcuking time! pardon my french, but good lord, they’ve taken us pretty freaking close to the edge with their personality cult.
We need to be here, with open arms, to welcome those who wake up from the hypnosis and the sham, back into the democratic party. Our movement needs to be legitimate and serious.
The Puma movement and the Election Protest must be seen as a viable and responsible alternative to the Network Marketing presidential campaign.
Tho that shouldnt be too difficult. i mean, basically Axelrod’s strategy boils down to selecting the President of the United States through a Facebook popularity contest.
332 – Thanks for your help UDL (inside joke)…..so glad to be back among my friends – can’t talk to anybody here about BO w/o getting my head cut off- it’s not that they’re for him – they’re resigned to this –

I think when we say “we will vote MCCAIN”
we of course mean that it is only in the case that hussein is the official candidate after Denver, we will or at least I VOTE FOR Hillary, if she is the nominee and I know of many young women and young men that are not buying into what the party is doing, and are supporting MCCAIN, but in the case HILLARY be the candidate, THEY WOULD VOTE FOR HILLARY
I suspect that republicans prefer hussein to be the candidate to run against, and one of the reason why maybe the conservative media has not brought out “the dirty cloth out of the closet” is that they are saving for the occasion

Wow, lots of buyer’s remorse in those comments about BO’s statement on his support of FISA bill.
Did anyone else just hear the report on FOX – something about Sen Chris Dodd getting a ‘good deal’ on a slick Countrywide mortgage refinancing on his property? Isn’t this the same Countrywide that has been in the news because of their crooked ‘predatory’ mortgage deals? And isn’t this the same Chris Dodd who’s trying to get a ‘housing bailout’ pushed through the Senate? And isn’t this the same Countrywide that caused one of no name’s VP vetters, Jim Johnson to have to step down from the VP vetting commitee (Johnson being the former chairman of mortgage lender Fannie Mae, who received loans with the help of the CEO of Countrywide Financial Corp, which is part of a federal investigation in the midst of the subprime mortgage crisis)? And isn’t this the same Dodd who backed no name early on, right after he [Dodd] dropped out of the Presidential race?
What is it with these guys? Really naughty stuff going on and funny how no name seems to always be connected somehow. Chicago style politics is alove and well in Washington and only bound to get worse if this guy’s allowed to take up residence in our Oval Office.
#347 alove = alive
Yep, this is the Countrywide that you and I and all the taxes payers in the US get to bail out to the tune of some 200 million, as ushed through the committee by Dobb. He then got a 75,000 reduction in his home mortgage and said “Hummmmm, i didn’t know”.
And yes, he came out in support of B HObo
#342 Middle aged Female — absolutely. Also, how old was John McCain when he said that?
Context is everything.
McCain’s context is being a survivor of a brutal war, torture, and the constant prospect of a lonely, painful death.
M.Obama’s context is being an emotionally self-absorbed Princeton grad with a few million dollars in the bank and a sense of entitlement the size of the south east asian peninsula.
#334 Shadowbee- Mc Cain was in a prison in Vietnam in his earlies 20’s I believe. A little different than a 46 year old woman referring to her husband’s run for president.

You’re quite welcome. It is a topic that needs to be discussed openly and frequently, and actually taken action upon one way or another. But at the very root of energizing that action should be a citizen activist core which is fully versed and willing to educate themselves on what our legislators are doing, or not doing in most cases, to move us in the right direction on this topic. It is very important that one way or another we start actually moving in big ways toward making our country energy independant. It is important for our economy, it is important for our national security, and it is important for our environment. There is no excuse for us to not be heading that way right now and it should not take another 10 – 15 years to get there. The technologies and resources are there, and have been for some time. The only reason we are not there yet is frankly a stagnant legislature and legislative process, devoid of any real action with exception of getting themselves reelected.
Can you tell I am frustrated with our legislators and their inability to seemingly get any kind of meaningful work done in this area? And I’m particularly frustrated that small countries like Brazil are light years ahead of us here in this, the supposedly most technologically advanced nation in the world. Frankly, I am an action person – I cannot stand just sitting around talking about the problem, I want to move ahead and actually fix it, especially when the tools are right in front of us. That’s part of the reason I admire Sen Clinton so darned much.
And here is another one about the Whitey tape:
http://vlogitics.com/play.php?vid=341
Hey Puma Family, Good Day to you all! I have been reading the posts and needed to remark on one.
I too have seen Hillary being sworn in as President. I am full of positive thinking and it has changed my life!
I imagine in my minds eye what I want to happen, how I want things to go. I dream of a better tomorrow, because it can be had. I dream of a world in which my daughters and granddaughters can be whatever they want to be, without fear of sexist remarks.
I, like you all, want the best for my girls and my boys. I want equality, I want what we have been fighting all our lives for! YOU’VE COME A LONG WAY BABY, my ass. We are no closer now to being considered equal to a man, than we were in the sixties when we were burning our bras. The Obama camp proved that and the media were right there too.
Can I tell my daughters they can someday be president, but they might have to put up with sexual remarks to get there?
I want a world that is just and fair. I want a world in which the people chose the president. It is how it used to be before delegates and super-delegates ruled the world. I don’t want someone else telling me whom I should vote for simply because of their political affiliation.
WE must vote for the most qualified candidate, and we all know that is Hillary Clinton. Super delegates are supposed to vote for the most qualified candidate too, so why did they jump into BO’s boat?
That is the one question I want answered. Why did you chose to nominate BO even before Denver, and why are you willing to stand behind a man who is in no way qualified to be our president?
Why? That is what I want to know.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Writing about ANWR and drilling of the coast of Florida. The oil companies say they can’t drill off Florida coast due to legislature… Yet the Chinese and others are just by going out 50 miles into international waters. Well, if that’s true… then why can’t American companies explore and drill in international waters where our laws don’t apply.
~Just a thought.
Thanks, goandersen,
Beautiful video. Here’s one right back at you-one of my favorites!

Thank you goandersen. Made me cry. Just beautiful

I never learned how and don’t have the software to do it… but does anyone here know how to start a NEWSLETTER so we can get precise coordinated information.
It is getting harder and harder to keep up with this blog and I fear I am losing 90% of the information.
Check in PUMA List:
1. Emailed or mailed 6 letters to superdelegates in my state.
2. Made a copy of our awesome PUMA flyer by PA4HILL. I am strategizing how I will best distribute the flyers.
3) Planning to write different journalists to investigate *61.
4) Donated $100 for PUMA advertising.
5) I like the idea of selecting 18 superdelegates and corresponding with them on a regular basis.
I did not mean to infer, in any way, that I would vote for BO, if he moves from “presumptive” to actual nominee. I will vote for McCain which is a vote against BO. I never thought I would hear myself say that, but I feel so strongly that this man has insidiously crept into the mindsets of formerly sane people (Caroline Kennedy, Senator Kennedy, John Edwards, etc. etc.)…It defies imagination and seems almost like the Bizarro world or in Seinfeld where George Costanzo decides to do the “opposite” of what he thinks is best because is gut has always been wrong.
Well,my gut from the beginning has been the BO is bad bad news, and there is no way I can ever pull a lever for him.
I can only surmise that because people are so disgusted with Bush, they are willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater and go for complete CHANGE, in every sense of the word.
I think this election if BO is the nominee is this:
BO equals Change
McCain equals Trust.
Which will Americans think is more important?
Can someone explain to me what a covenant is, i have democratic, republican and then convenant
Here’s another interesting article on McCain catching up to BO’s fundraising for May.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080621/pl_politico/11241
So much energy here and we are using to reconvince ourselves. We need action. I’ve been sending my letters, but I feel we need to focus on something big. Murphy~ where are we on the fund rasing for the TV video? Could it be possible to keep a money meter on the site in plain sight to help to keep reminding us? I would like to how much we have and how far we have to go.
#374 Hillgirl
Mine too! Good to see it again.
I was needing a Hillary Fix today.
Trish from Canada: Tish A covenant means a binding contract. The details of the covenant are detailed within the covenant. Is that the word or the 2nd one: convenant. Don’t know that but well donknow
http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080621/pl_politico/11241
McCain and BO raise the same amount of money in May and have the same amount of money on hand going into the general election! Hmmmm. Could it be that some republicans were donating to BO to keep the strongest Dem candidate, Hillary, from being nominated? Then they switched to McCain once Hillary was out? Something is up!

Good one! This is a Revolution!

I wonder what you mean by big.
There are big things happening, letters are being sent, e-mails are flying to the governors, senators, delegates. People are becoming aware of what’s going on, less heads are buried in the sand. Posters are being placed by the hundreds in towns and cities.
The media is slowly changing face and becoming aware of PUMA and other grassroots organizations. Not only becoming aware but writing up on them, free advertisement there.
The amount of organization that is going through people in this PAC is incredible. Blows me away actually.
That’s why I wonder what you mean by big, because big things are happening. They are not as big as the big bang, but often times that’s good, its is often better to stay under the radar and deliver your message, it gets heard, makes people curous then your group grows, the message travels faster and the messengers reunite , refocus, relax and do the same thing tomorrow. This is what makes this group successful, in my opinion.
Then when you’ve got their attention, go for that something big… make them want it first.
There’s something to the saying, “walk softly and carry a big stick”
#384 VA PUMA
Thanks, the second word was a typo, but your explanation helps put it in perspective for me.
#370 PA4HILL08
Unfortunately, drilling in ANWR is an issue I haven’t taken time to educate myself on. Partly it’s due to an overload of other things that need my attention. But also, with battles of my own to fight, I’ve got to leave that one in the hands of people who are more knowledgeable than I am. So that’s why I appreciate your concise overview of the topic.
My biggest concern about the issue is really one of wondering how long our planet can continue to sustain us. I can’t even begin to grasp how our planet provides the resources for all the material goods we have and continue to create every day, especially with our ever-increasing population. Then when you look at all the destruction from natural disasters and war, it becomes even more overwhelming. The environmental damage is staggering.
Hey, someones been reading our blog. I went to BO’s website and he now lists Women as People. Of course, they are last on his list and there is still no listing for Med.
Trish~ I am in no way demeaning the activities of everyone who is with us. And I too feel that it is having an impact. I was merely anxious to continue to raise funds for the TV add, and suggesting a method to continually remind us that this was in the words. Sorry if I offended you. I was not my intention.

Hey antifish – I was just over on the cheetos blog & read about 2/3rds of the comments – sounds like the boys? & girls? are getting a little panicky – also WTF is this about a trip abroad to France, Germany, etc – is this a rock tour – if he goes anywhere it should be Iraq or Afganistan – sounds like they’re also not so happy about the possum seal – me either – it’s pretty silly, arrogant, stupid, whatever – I think I’m going to stop referring to him as *61 and as possum chief instead – like that better………………………………..

why do you the party is supporting this guy, when it is the hecatombe?????
#398 Trish – love that comment – my sister-in-law says that all the time – “pull up the big girl panties & deal with it”.
Thanks VA – still like possum chief tho…………….
Trish ~ no don’t feel that way. No apology needed. I’m just anxious and want to have the same impact as all those fabulous videos I am seeing produced. I would love to see those hit middle class in WVa and OHIO, and PA, and southern VA. Not everyone is computer savvy or has the funds like we do you know. To some the computer is a luxury. I’d love to reach those people too.
Susie1945,
Hey there! Yes, seems Big Orange is having a revolution within its own ranks. It’s kinda fun watching them attack each other.
I didn’t hear about the trip to Europe. Is BO going there? Why? Maybe it’s part of Michelle’s makeover? Some nice Paris designer fashions to improve her image? Or maybe they are going to teach the Germans how to make Possum Schnitzel?

Alright then! oh gawddddddddddd now I have babs streisand singing “people who need people” in my head. Her voice will make my fillings fall out.
I am trying to follow along with the conversation while doing some work–multi-tasking. I understand the frustration about wanting to take action and see some results–if I am understanding you, VA Puma. I know we have all been busy writing letters, donating, etc. One particular aspect that I keep hearing on the MSM, and has been mentioned here multiple times, is that those resisting falling in line for BO are disappointed or bitter Hillary supporters. To me this is a dismissive attitude and I think that we have to make it clear that we are not just disappointed at Hillary having “lost”, and I use that term loosely, but we are objecting to the methods by which she “lost”. This is not just being hurt, this is a matter of essential democratic principles being violated. So, my action suggestion is that we write letters en masse to the MSM to get this point across. Also the ad should emphasize this point. Just my two cents.

This is an example of a letter that I sent to the media. This one was to Bill O’Reilly.
“I am a supporter of Hillary Clinton and I have enjoyed your news programs of late–particularly your respectful interview with her. Thank you for that. But
yesterday you had a report from a female reporter who characterized Hillary supporters as “whining”. I found this very disturbing. To minimize or dismiss the fundamental ideological divide in the Democratic Party by sexist commentary is a huge miscalculation. To say that the women’s feelings are hurt, or that
they are “whining” or that they are being vengeful is both sexist and untrue. This campaign has exposed some major ideological and political problems within
the DNC that has disenfranchised groups of previously committed Democrats. Also, for me personally, it is not that I would not embrace another candidate in the
wake of Hillary’s loss, but I will not embrace this candidate. In my opinion, Obama is not qualified for the job and I find his lack of knowledge and experience in both domestic and foreign policy to be a significant problem which could ultimately jeopardize this country’s national security. So please do not be so sexist, stereotypic, and reductionistic when discussing the reasons why Hillary supporters may choose not to support Senator Obama. Ask questions and find out the accurate information because these suppositions are
how we arrived at the place we find ourselves in today.”

Absolutely. That is one, if not the biggest focus of our P.U.M.A. PAC movement. The DNC and nominating process is broken, and no longer representative because they’ve gone against the long held basis of the idea of ‘fair reflection’. It’s been skewed by the powers that be – to benefit the powers that be, and not the people. Well said, Hillgirl!

Not good, pumas… not good.
I’m a PUMA now. And the minute Hillary asks for money for whatever reason I’ll give what I can instead to PUMA PAC for the sole purpose of having her stinkin’ party defeated come November (pardon me, I’m already feeling tense about her getting in line).
I haven’t given money to this fine organization yet. But just you wait, Murphy, til Hillary motivates me. She can do that to me, you know. Until her campaign I never gave anything to a political candidate.

I am listening. This is a very dangerous road they are traveling. I belong to the Southern Poverty Law Center. They sent a magazine a few months ago, the entire magazine was about the increase in the number of “hate groups” in the United States. I was shocked to see how many of them were in CA now.
These groups are pretty silent, but they are out there and growing. Very stupid move on their

#431 & #412 – I hear what you’re saying but after reading some of the comments on Cheetos blog – most of them are worried about what “us” are thinking about the seal – arrogant, stupid, what were we thinking, that kind of stuff – also, complaining about how the paid staffers are ignoring suggestions from the volunteers (who I assume are unpaid) – they’re getting the brush off (shoulder flick) – most were saying that these idiots (my word) still think they’re running in primaries instead of the GE – wanted to leave a comment that the possum chief is only the presumptive selected nominee & not elected or declared over the top with delegates yet but those people are so nasty – I didn’t feel like getting beat up……………………….
#371 VA just had an interesting thought. Afraid to put in words but it makes some sense to me. Guess I’m going to put more in towards her debt paydown. there goes the old credit card again!!
#431 goandersen,
I belong to SPLC also. I also read that issue of the “Intelligence Report”. Many groups are being spurred by the anti-immigration movement. I’m afraid if Obama loses, many new hate groups will sprout up in protest.
Hi My Friends,
I hope I’m not sounding like a broken record, but I wanted to share what I just sent John McCain (with copies to the RNC, DNC, Obama, etc.).
Obama and friends don’t care how we feel about the sexism, the disenfranchisement, etc. Every time we raise those issues, I hear them saying, “We don’t care. Get over it.”
So I’m over it … as in “if you can’t walk through the door, crawl in through a window.” My goal hasn’t changed … Hillary in the White House. Only my strategy and tactics have changed.
In my letter writing these days, I’m concentrating on “challenging Obama to a duel.” He needs to be backed into a corner where he can’t keep dodging McCain’s invitation for weekly town hall meetings. Obama is more than capable of tripping himself up if given the right opportunities. We just need to get him there.
Enjoy …
Dear Senator McCain,
I urge you to keep putting pressure on Senator Obama to agree to weekly town hall meetings. Voters are entitled to hear the candidates debate the issues.
Throughout the primary season, Senator Obama kept saying, “I welcome that debate with John McCain.” His refusal to agree to the weekly town hall meetings you’ve proposed tells me a lot about Senator Obama. It tells me:
• Senator Obama is not a man of his word.
• Senator Obama does not respect voters’ rights. Nor does he respect other world leaders who also want to hear the candidates discuss the issue in a debate setting.
• Senator Obama is not a man who can or will reach across the aisle as he has repeatedly promised to do. If he intended to reach across the aisle, he’d be doing it now every chance he could.
• Senator Obama is afraid that you will expose the lack of substance behind his rhetoric.
• Senator Obama isn’t confident enough about the issues to speak without a teleprompter or the scripted words of his speech writers.
• Senator Obama doesn’t believe in transparency in government.
• If Senator Obama were to become President, he would repeatedly shy away from difficult discussions and uncomfortable topics. So, too, would he avoid talking with other world leaders unless they fall in line behind everything Senator Obama says.
I invite you to use my talking points, because these are things that all voters need to consider.
Thank you for your consideration.
There is a story on another blog, “thats me on the left”, that supposedly is related by a Democratic insider who found out what was happening at Feinsteins house when Hillary and Obama met. Supposedly, according to the story, Obama did offer Hillary the VP’s position and she said ‘thanks but no thanks”. She also refused to release her delegates, the meeting was very short. I hope she did turn down the VP, she is too qualified to play second fiddle. And I’m tired of the more qualified female having to support a lesser qualified male.

I don’t understand why it is so difficult for people to see that you don’t just follow any fraud who comes along.
From what I have seen of Obama, he is an opportunist who will bend whichever way that wind would flow. That is by far the worse kind of man. Dare I say that even Bush is better that him. I have said this before: for a man to sit in a hateful church and listen to anti-American anti-White sermons and allow the parishioners to be brainwashed and handicapped for life is in itself disqualifying for the Presidency.

I totally agree with you about preserving the “biological heart” of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. I’m very passionate about preserving the area called 1002, a biologically sensitive home to many species of life, and feel it will be a huge mistake to allow multinational oil companies access to it. We cannot drill our way to energy independence. We consume 25% of the oil supply and have only 3% of the reserve, we will as long as we use oil as a fuel be dependant on foreign imports and there is no way of getting around it, unless we invest in other energy sources. We also run the risk of losing our last great wilderness only to still pay whatever the global price is for oil because oil from this country goes into the world oil market.
If you are interested in learning about the Arctic Refuge the Alaska Wilderness League website http://www.alaskawild.org/index.htm has great information. You will also be introduced to the Gwich’in’ people, who believe the 1002 area is so sacred they never venture into it and call it “Iizhik Gwats’an Gwandaii Goodlit” (The Sacred Place Where Life Begins).
I was going to the Post office today and the BO campaign office is next door. A man asked me if I was registered to vote and I said yes but I am changing my party to Independent because I am disgusted with the Democratic party and they no longer stand for what I believe in. I then handed him a PUMA flyer. The man was speechless!! I guess BO’s strategy is to get as many people registered to vote as he can. Maybe we should stand near the BO campaign offices and hand out PUMA flyers!!!

I believe Hillary was the one who requested of Ms. Feinstein her residence for a sub rosa meeting with Obama. And as he had stated earlier, he would meet with Hillary anytime, anywhere.
It was probably about something else. Some aide with her debt most likely.
HI Storytellers in response to your queston #399..I do believe the answer is, their has only been 2 democatic Presidents in 40 years. And, yes that includes Bill Clinton for 8 years. So, the sleazy Democratic Party and the DNC and all the the self loathing Super Delegates are desperate…They will choose to destroy the Democratic Party to try to win in November.. Remember, the operative word is “try” to win…This is why the Democratic Party will fail again….There is a reason why the Republican’ s symbol is an Elephant and the Democratic’s symbol is a Donkey…Because, all of the Democratic Leaders are Asses…..I hope this helps…..

If, and I certainly hope not, there is some rioting going on, it won’t be with the bitter, old white women, it will be between these groups.
IF BO can only talk with a teleprompter, how on earth is he going to talk to other world leaders? I don’t understand why so many don’t get it.
Nice post. Caspercat.
I say all it will take to keep Obama and his ilk away from the White House are the women of the Democratic party. That’s their base constituency by far. If enough are either principled or pissed off to the point of not voting or giving McCain the benefit of the doubt then the Republicans will when.
It’s up to you gals.

IF BO can only talk with a teleprompter, how on earth is he going to talk to other world leaders? I don’t understand why so many don’t get it.
——
Common sense my friend is indeed quite uncommon.
Ever since Iowa and South Carolina the DNC and democratic leaders like that fella Cyde… think his title was the house majority whip or some such… have been wanting Hillary to get out of the race…. They said at the time a long race would divide the party.
So our Hillary has to campaign for BHO to show that she is a *uniter* of the Party. That means, that she can not be seen as the party divider. That means that others have to make the case for her. And I am hoping that takes place at the Convention, where Florida and Michigan will probably be seated 100%. As head of the DNC and Credentials Committee BHO would be wise to seat them… and if there is still hurt feelings they just might vote for Hillary and CHANGE THE TIDE. Of course all this is pure speculation on my part. But one never knows.
Also—I ask you to ponder this: If Howard Dean had stuck to the *automatic* 50% reduction at the beginning of the campaign season, then on May 31st they should have seated the entire delegation of both Michigan and Florida at their full 100% delegate vote; but they didn’t want to do that because they knew it would give Hillary the edge becasue she won both states.
Still… another way of looking at it is this way: At the May 31st DNC meeting… there were 30 members… 11 Hillary Supporters and 8 BHO supporters; with 9 undecided. When the final vote for Michigan happened (after a 2 1/2 hour lunch) both camps voted in the Michigan Challenge. That’s what Donna Brazille meant when she replied, both sides agreed. And although this were so, I have to wonder what happened during that long lunch break. I wonder because this meeting was suppose to be open and transparent to the public to view and was not. Still, I would bet my bottom dollar that the agreement went something like this:
We must think of the Party first and Party unity. So let’s just vote it in and then work out the rest at the Credentials Meeting. Thing is… BHO now heads it.

If you’re thinking what I think you are – why not just let the Republicans expose it?
I don’t understand how the media, of all people, can say that Obama is a “great orator.” He ums and uhs his way through any extemporaneous speech, sounding less articulate than President Bush.
Somebody needs to give all these dem leaders a slap upside the head – that stupid Sebilus from Kansas is talking about possum chief’s “Kansas Values” – WTF – he never lived there, has never lived there, visited once – he grew up in Hawaii (not saying Hawaii’s bad) and Indonesia – his mother was an atheist so what values did he get – not saying atheists are bad either cuz I don’t believe in religion myself – but if the dems are going to spout all this crap – shouldn’t it be real???

Yesterday someone at work that has always been anti Obama told me that she is going to vote democratic because her husband is in the union. Really surprised me, suddenly all of her conviction was out the window just because her husbands union had endorsed Obama. Do you know any of these people and do they just follow order.
Does the Governor of the Virgin Islands vote in the GE?

LETTER TO HONORABLE HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON

URGENT MESSAGE – PLEASE FORWARD TO HILLARY ASAP – URGENT MESSAGE
Honorable Senator Hillary Clinton,
Collectively we have asked you to step aside and to let us handle it from here. Thank you for doing that. And we are active and strong as well as determined.
Please know that we [18 MILLION+] are still here and that we have some important news for you. We need you to know some facts:
- We are working to pay off your debt; please do not rely on the opposition for repayment of your [ours because you were working for us] campaign debts as you asked. Actually, you did not have to ask because we were already dedicated to that accomplishment. We were concerned that funding through your website would not get to you, so we have sent money through your website; it seemed as if Obama had taken it over.
- We are working toward your nomination at the Denver convention; please GO TO THE CONVENTION!
- After the nomination and election, we will work with you tireless to vanquish misogyny, sexism, and ageism.
- We will be at the convention in Denver and maybe you will spend some time with us as a group. We will be many. We will be strong. This date will also be a celebration of the Women’s Right to Vote. Please celebrate with us.
- Could you send us a little signal that you have received our $1bills we
sent in cards with the text 1 in18million and go to the convention
With honor, respect and much love we work to promote your strong moral character, your strength, and adherence to ethical principles in your historic feats as the world’s strongest female leader. You, Bill, and Chelsea are National Treasures and we salute each of you!

Take that back there is evidence that at least to age of 12 he practice Islam.

was watching a CNN special about oil – too depressing – technology to get us off oil or increase gas mileage over the years has been bought off & destroyed by big oil & car companies – wonder if they’re sorry now??? — then I had to turn CNN off – because Sally Quinn (nasty woman -doesn’t like Hillary) was yapping about Tim Russert & making a comparison to JFK’s funeral – OMG give me a break – JFK was president of this freakin’ country – russert was talking head and political pundit – this country is made of dumb and dumber – no wonder those movies do so well – they recognize themselves….

LOL!
My letter to Governor Strickland;
Dear Governor Strickland,
I am so disappointed that you think that all the Ohio voters will back BO. Your statement that you will work your heart out for him appalling.
Please, take care of what Ohio needs, that is why you were elected as our Governor.
I also disagree that Ohio will work “her” heart out for him. Not the people I know. I will never support the inexperienced knuckle bumping candidate.
The DNC handed BO the nomination and you and I both know it. It was wrong and the only way that I as a voter can right the wrong done to Hillary is to vote McCain.
Matter of fact, me along with 18 million other disgusted democrats will show we will not be bullied by the DNC.
Howard Dean and the DNC destroyed the democratic party.
Unite?
Never.

I really became involved in politics in town last year. I know many are strong democrats but many will not support BO. I would even venture to say that the lady you talked to may really carry her vote the way she intended but to keep peace in her house she may have told her husband, okay dear.
Ohio will be an important state, but I believe we feel so cheated that McCain will be the answer.
I asked my cousin what she was going to do after Ron Paul left the race because she was looking at voting for him. This was her response.
Well since I have never voted……….guess it dont matter, lol. Doesnt matter anyway, the elections are predetermined anyway, they can do anything they want, proof in Bush BUYING the election. Money shouldnt have a damn thing to do with voting, but it does. I do not believe in the election or legal processes. They change the laws at will, and do not follow the constitution anymore.
All the BigLobbyist and pharmaceuticals companies, conglomerates, etc etc, get who they want to be Prez. We only have Puppet Presidents. They can all go to hell, working for the Bilderburg Group, who is conducting their agenda to kill off 95% of the worlds population, and are doing pretty well so far, with the help of BigPharm, Big Bank, BigGrocery, BigOil etc. Big Vacinnati are doing their best work, all around the world, toward ONE WORLD NATION< And mark my word, Arnold S. who is trying to get his Arnold Bill passed that will allow non-American born people to run for president, so look out next election. He WILL be in it!! And he Will win it. And just ask him…he will tell you he VantZ to be King of de Vorld!!! As he is already being measured for the Uniforms he LOVES to prance around in. Arnold Hitler he wants to overshadow. King of the NewOneWorldOrder (but still a Puppet)
It will happen. So if ya get the chance to vote for him, Dont. Not that it would matter. The Spin Doctors have it all arranged.
And all the empty prisons(but guarded already) they have been building to house all the millions of dissenters. And the ways they efficiently Quite who are too vocal to the truth.
The young ones have been brainwashed already to accept their dogma, and be their slaves, so they wont worry about them, They have ways to already to mentally control us anyhoo, and are getting more, thru drugs and that Chips they are gonna implant into all of us, and know exactly what we are doing, thinking, and where we are, at All time. With a push of a button, or signal to all those hidded Wave towers all over the place, they can bring us all to our knees. They need to OFF all of us who still have a heart, and a memory of peace and comfort.
It will not come this way again. So if ya ever wondered why I use to say Glad Day ~ that is the reason. In our herd naivity, we have had One more Glad Day before the inevitable chopping block/marshall law is declared, and we are all doomed to do what every they tell us to, and take what ever they want from us, and the new gold standard will be oil and food, esp the stupid ass Genetically Modified foods, that they already know kill off most of the animals that happen to eat them. And it is in almost every product in our grocery stores, and They dont have to tell us they are In There! Glad Day will soon be Sad Day
Great letter bythelake
I have run and walk my dog.
Stay strong.
It’s very simple–I will not vote for BO, no matter who endorses him. Let this be perfectly clear. And frankly, I’m embarrassed by the Democrat leadership for falling in line. Go Geraldine Farraro. Maybe someone can work with her to endorse the PUMA efforts.
Rather than use Paypal, I prefer to send a check. What address should I use?
Shorttermer _ You can can my name but is this sentence correct: We were concerned that funding through your website would not get to you, so we have sent money through your website; it seemed as if Obama had taken it over.
#435 Firebelle you are so right when someone ask’s him a ? that he does’nt know how to answer he starts stuttering . BO reminds me of the goose on Charlottes Web
I signed up on the BO website today to spy lol. Hum, donations wanted right off the bat. I wanted to donate 2 cents but wasn’t sure if it would go through. If it did it would cost him at least 35 cents in credit card fees to accept it. It would put him in the red with my donation. I may still do it. Imagine if 18 million disgusted democrats did that! Yeah Ha!
#474 Pookie
A goose? That’s a good one.
And you just inspired a naughty thought in me. I shan’t refer to Obama as a “great orator,” but rather as a “great orifice.”
IN REF TO 402 ANTIFISH: HERE IS ANOTHER VERSION OF WHAT POTUS IN BO’S SEAL REPRESENTS:
P = PROFILE
O = OF
T = THE
U = UNELECTABLE
S = SENATOR
“PROFILE OF THE UNELECTABLE SENATOR”
Remember Donna Brazile? She is the one who answered the question about winning the general election. In her exchange with Paul Begala on CNN when she said, “…we have a new coalition now, Paul. They are a part of the old coalition.” We all know what the old and new coalitions as described mean. She went on to say to Paul when he responded that the party would need those [old coalition] to win the general election. She responded by saying, “…Paul it is NOT about winning the election, it is about expanding our base.”
They did not intend to win the election, but now see hope of stealing it. And that is all I have to say about that.
To Sebelius in Kansas, “He’s not in Kansas anymore [never really was].”
About the Presidential shield, even Taylor Marsh did not like that, and while she started out for Clinton, she is now so up nObama’s butt.

I have your original letter to Howard Dean so it will go to him.

Everybody read this post! We must not forget that Hillary can still win the nomination and that there are actions that we can do to affect public perception through the media. There are millions of us out here who are still actively working to secure the Nomination of Hillary Clinton at the Democratic Convention in August. There are daily actions that you can take. I say that we all show up every where that Hillary campaigns for the “selected, not elected” one and wave our Hillary signs and wear our T-shirts because the fight is still on!
Think of Hillary riding on the way to a campaign stop and passing crowds of supporters still waving “Hillary 2008″ banners and cheering her on! How can the press not report that?
Please organize locally and carry on the fight!

This is complete off the topic: Did you hear about the big twins borned in North Carolina?
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (June 20) – Sean William Maynard and Abigail Rose Maynard weighed in at a combined 23 pounds and 1 ounce at birth this week, a North Carolina hospital announced Friday.
The boy weighed 10 pounds, 14 ounces; the girl, 12 pounds, 3 ounces. Springs said both babies are in excellent condition after their birth to parents Joey and Erin Maynard of Winston-Salem.
I just received a donation request from Obama in the mail-sent it back with the message-when hell freezes over. I then donated another $50 to pay down Clinton’s campaign debt, and sent the puma link to another person I campaigned with in Texas.
I went to Clinton’s website-I haven’t done that in a long time, and I couldn’t help but feel really sad for all that could have been. Especially after Obama’s recent stance on FISA and his flip/flop on Public financing for campaign funds-which we knew was coming. What really amazes me is that some of his supporters are now so shocked to find that he is actually a hypocrite.
Have we been on the same planet?
Larry King’s repeat tonight was showing segments of the View show with MO co-hosting. She insisted that everyone give her a fist bump. Watching the bumping, I was appalled by how much it looked like a punch. I wish we had a hand greeting. On second thought, shaking hands is friendly…unless you get a hand crusher.

I went to the AOL site to vote on the poll. It is now BO 38 McCain 62.
They have a question: How does BO’s broken promise to use public financing say about him..
I picked: Hypocrite, has no principles. So did 67% that have voted. In my state of PA, it is 68%. Make sure you go vote on that one..
I am sending more money to Hillary to reduce her debt.
I am sending it to her Senate office.
I will e-mail Murphy to get an address to send what I can to support our cause. I just had to get a new credit card number because somehow someone hacked into Lenox or Amazon and got my number. The card company called me and ask if I had make this purchase:
it was from France.
I will be packing tomorrow, but will try to read some posts. I will be back Thursday, so I will have lots to read.
Everyone have a great weekend. To the poster who said they were getting more and more headaches, it is the stress of what we have gone through with the cheating DNC. My fibromyalgia Doctor told me I had to lower my stress level about the election. I told him, “I Can’t”..
For people having persistent trouble logging in to Wordpress– the only thing that actually works is to start over from scratch with a new gmail email account and a new username. use the new gmail account as your email address when you register with wordpress.
Some of the popular email accounts, especially AOL and ATT, have such extreme spam filters that the wordpress emails cannot get through to them. Gmail is the way to go for Puma blogging.
Please spread this around — I have a hard time responding to individual emails of people having trouble.
Thanks!
Would those of you who remain on here continue to pass the #486 letter around by reposting it as new people come in, or refer them to it.
I am going to try to get a little sleep, not getting much lately and it is showing. Thanks.

PUMA Talking Points/Writing the Ombudsman for each major media outlet.
Usually every major media outlet has an ombudsman to help with issues of impropriety by journalists. We need to write the ombusdman from the LA Times, NY Times, WA Post, MSNBC, CNN and so on.
Here is the email address for the one at the Washington Post: ombudsman@washpost.com
The reason this came to mind, I read an article about columnist David Broder’s conflict of interest in receiving fees and other perks as a result of his many speaking engagements. His reputation as a journalist is under fire.
OMG, the media has a silent curtain when it comes to vetting *61. Talk about conflict of interest, what is more unethical than the media being a public relations firm for *61?
I will draft a letter to the WP, but if everyone could write the ombudsman from CNN, MSNBC, LA Times, and so on this would really get our message out.
Polls
The website noquarterusa.net had an excellent article how the polls are skewed in *61’s favor? “Pollsters massage their numbers based on what they believe about the electorate.” In order words, they believe that Hillary’s supporters will fall in line.
It states that Rasmussen is an accurate poll because it takes into effect our discontent.
I know I couldn’t get in with my ATT email address, had to use my Yahoo address.
Here’s a link to a possible resource that I will be adding to the links section in the Action Center. You can search for money bundlers for the various candidates. Very, very interesting to follow the money.

This is a very interesting video in YouTube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=09ygxKAnPSc
The video exposes Patti Solis Doyle as a” Spy”.
Is Patty the main reason why Hillary’s campaign was not doing well at the beginnig of the year until Hillary removed her????
Was Patti sent by BO to sabotage and spy on Hillary’s campaign??? Was Patty planted with the sole intention to damage Hillary’s run for President???? Are we looking at a classic old dirty Chicago political mugging????
Patti is from Chicago and has friendly ties with BO’s right hand!!!!!! In the old days this was called a stinking “set up ” !!!!! This is not change, this is just old dirty politics that BO represents!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS A CHANGE FOR THE WORST !!!!!!
Did BO fear Hillary so much that he felt compelled to plant Patti so he could cheat and steal his way to the Democratic National Convention???
It is bad enough that BO manipulated and intimidated his way through the Caucus system!!
“PASS THE BUCK BO ” VOTED OVER 100 TIMES PRESENT! He did not perform as a Senator and now he pretends he can be our President??????????????????
Folks November is a long ways off. We need to concetrate on what is going to happen in our Democratic Convention in August!!!! The web site :
18MillionVoicesblogspot.com/
has been organizing a movement to address August. All Hillary Delegates need to stand united and let their voices be heard loud and clear at the Convention.
Many of us will march to Denver as a show of support for Hillary. This is the last chance we have to make things right !!!!
” We will march until victory is in Sight”
” We will win,Hillary is our guiding Light”
” With Hillary we are one Voice”
” Hillary is the People’s Choice ”
We march to Denver so our cry of rebellion is heard loud and clear !!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will not roll over and wag our tails, we will elect Hillary as our Presidential Nominee!! ( Lets not forget that it took several voting sessions for President Lincoln to be nominated ! OUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD!!!
” Yes she can ”
” Yes we will “

Hello everyone
I was reading our local paper this evening and I came across an article written by David Brooks on “The two Obamas” It is interesting and he writes ” But as recent weeks have made clear, Barack Obama is the most split -personality politician in the country today” . On the one hand, there is Dr. Barack, the high-minded, Niebuhr-quoting speechifier who spent this past winter thrilling the Scarlett Johansson set and feeling the fierce urgency of now. But then on the other side, there’s Fast Eddie Obama, the promise-breaking, tough-minded Chicago pol who’d throw you under the truck for votes.
Looks like this orginated from the New York Times News Service. The article is longer not sure if any of you read this article.
Also on the Larry King Show tonight he interviewed Joy from the View and Joy said she is sure the WOMEN will come around and vote for bo in Nov. We need to send her some letters and set her straight. The nerve of this idiots thinking they are going to drag out their crystal ball and predict what we are going to do.
I will be writting to Joy on the View to set her straight.

Ombudsman
We all know that Senator Hillary Clinton endured relentless attacks that were demeaning, belittling, and vicious. The ombudsman is the person that each media organization has hired to address the grievances of the public. Writing comments on their blogs only goes so far. However, I believe that our PUMA letters will have a greater impact. More importantly, the coverage might change and start investigating *61.
The ombudsman for Wasingtonpost.com is very good. Emailed her about an article on Chelsea in the “Outlook” section on a Sunday about 6 weeks ago, as well as responded to the writer. She wanted to use my email to talk with her staff about. My email to her was short and succinct about the said article; I guess it was succinct enough and made some sense, so she responded. Writing the ombudsman probably needs to be article, author in article, specific versus generalized complaints.
thanks all for listening.
got hooked up with puma through VApuma; got a puma drawing and “Pumas” bumperstickers and a Hillary for President bumper sticker on.

Hello, PUMAs,

antifish 525 — i watched that video this morning on GaryChapelHill’s excellent post. Actually, I couldnt watch the whole thing.
Who ARE these people? I wanted to swoop in and rescue that poor little girl.
ugh.
I’m calling it an early Sat night fellow Pumas. See you all tommorrow!
Oh, and don’t forget to visit the Action Center and use the ’special’ pay down her debt link. Or if you decide to mail in your donatoin to the campaign, just remember to drop me note in my email and I’ll add your donation to the donation meter total at the next meter update. We have made a small but mighty dent in the good Senator’s campaign debt over the past two days. Good job!
Good night all! As Murphy always tells us – be kind to each other over night!

Mourn not the dead that in the cool earth lie-
But rather mourn the apathetic throng-
the coward and the meek-
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong–
and dare not speak.
Wonderful poem and it speaks my sentiments exactly! Thanks disenchanted!

I was embarrased too just visiting there for that split second, and I’m here with no one but the cat as my witness. I jumped and shouted ACK! and scared some of her fur off I believe. There’s a tuft of hair where once she sat looking at me. LOL!

David Brooks does exhibit common sense, despite being conservative; he has been one of the lesser “What a story !!” journalists/opionists.

Send a copy to Larry King also, and to other media people. Writing direct to the offender (Joy) does not help! They just conceal and ignore the protest. It needs to go to some outsider who might report it as news.
I will be writting to Joy on the View to set her straight.
Sorry that got garbled! I forgot to close italics and for some reason put my comment in the middle of the quote instead of at the end.
This was my comment:

You are right. I will send Larry King a letter but Joy needs to throw her crystal ball under obamas bus if there is still any room
Just wanted to send you all over to http://www.18milstrong.wordpress.com They would like to get an idea of how many of us Hillary supporters there are that won’t be voting for no name. Just post and let them know. The instructions are at the top of the page.
I often wondered the total number of people there are voting NoObama….

Clare is a waste of media space. i read an article about her daughters prom and Claire was asked to speak. Well, it seems it didn’t sit well with the head nun running the school. Claire supporting Obama, who supports abortions wasn’t supported by the school’s Top Dog, Sister. I’m_on_it_ gawd! So Claire was told to park it and she there would be no speech from her. Have to admit having been schooled in an all girls catholic school run by nuns, I died laughing reading this.
But what a waste of media resources.
Thanks, MamaPuma.
Shorttermer, I emailed you a “signature”
Murphy, if we can draw a little and come up with a political cartoon, but don’t have the kind of computer that can scan and magically make it into those magic bytes, could it be faxed to you?
I’m working on a dinosaur here, but might like to try a few ideas out for the project. If so, is there a way, other than snail mail, to send ideas??? And to whom??
My accomplishments today (other than the some old rusty nails I pounded for my frustration): 1) signed the petition; 2) printed out flyers; 3) discussed Lynette Long’s article with family members, and read y’all several times today.
4)Hard-copy mailed letters to senators (some of those pesky things bounced back!
Wonderful discussions.

Nice for you to share the detail. Her ex-hunsband, was mudered in 2005. Do not overlook, the way she followed her freshman Sen colleage, she is not over with it, she and the other guy share much in common, want to push everyone else away, get on top…
All PUMAs need to read Marc Rubin’s newest editorial. You all will appreciate his journalistic and candid style in his latest review of *61’s political antics and recent spin-outs.
By this Tuesday Rubin and others will be ‘giving birth’ to a new Denver Pac–a group whose sole intent will be dedicated to enabling Hillary to fight for her nomination and be heard in Denver.

I went to the site. Interesting. Then I clicked on “The Real Barack Obama”, and downloaded a .pdf file called Obama Exposed. It is 82 pages! The file is comprised of many articles by conservative writers. ANN COULTER is one of them. I will read Steven King at night, and Dean Koontz, but no way will I read anything by Ann Coulter when it is dark. I will try to plod through it tomorrow. Sadly, I am a slow reader. I did once take a five hour speed reading course, and failed.

Given the pathological fear of losing that infects Dean and Pelosi, the pressure must have been enormous. How would you like to hear Nancy Pelosi suffer shortness of breath in your ear? Gore gave them the nightlight, pacifier and endorsement they needed and you can almost imagine Pelosi fanning herself in the parlor moments later
#559 LilyMaid,
Yes, I find it discomforting that I now have to visit right-wing sites, places I would have never gone before this campaign, to get news. The MSM, with few exceptions, is completely corrupt.

Has the bo commented on his seal yet ? I haven’t watched much news today. Same old crap and it only gets me worked up.
I still think the seal looks like someone threw a baseball at it and splatted the eagle…
whoops, my mistake. RE: Marc Rubin’s TominPaine editorial. The name of the new PAC is:
THE DENVER GROUP and [it's] a new PAC that will be seeking to insure that Howard Dean and the DNC have an open convention and that Clinton’s name will be on the ballot and that there will be a roll call vote which the democratic process demands.”
just in case it’s too late out there for some of you back East, I’ll post just a teaser of the intro to his TominPaine editorial:
“…Howard Dean,Nancy Pelosi, the press and super delegates supporting Obama never seemed to understand that running for the Presidency of the United states isn’t the same as having open mic night at the DNC. But a funny thing is happening to Obama on his way to Denver. No one is laughing. Because Obama’s act is bombing. And even Howard Dean, Pelosi, Obama’s supporters and the super delegates sitting in the audience arent laughing. And for a very good reason. Obama’s act isn’t funny. Except to those who didn’t vote for him. …”
Okay folks, now go read the rest. It’s a good read for the end this past week.
Murphy, didn’t think you’d mind me sharing the name of this newest PAC and member of our growing family circle.

I found a way to not get upset at the news, I half listen or half read, then I add my own wishes into the article and by the time i’m finished i have a nice little news peice that makes me smile, works every time
My niece is a fantastic artist and she is a Hillary supporter. Actually she was at a protest against bo in Pittsburgh in April……….anyway I am getting off the subject. I will mention the bus cartoon to her and she can play with it. I am going to do one also. I think if nothing else it will be good for frustration.

Thank you so much for the web site. Marc Rubin injects humor into his writings! The second article is about Gore, and Marc suggests the DNC kidnapped Tipper to get Gore to endorse. Well, he said more than that, but that was the most fun part.
I have added this site to my favorites.
573 Trish
I’ll have to try that.
It has been quiet with the Kennedy’s hasn’t it? I was shocked that they endorsed bo. Wonder what the connection is. I would have thought they would have done their homework on bo first.

The bus is getting too much exposure with people under it. Why not puma driving bus with Dean Bo Mo Pelosi Kerry etc and puma telling them to enjoy the ride. Sign up ahead says warning puma crossing. Hungry pumas by side of road in distance. something along those lines. We’re driving the bus after all!!!!!!!
i’d like to know what’s going through Michelle Obama’s mind right now with BO taking a small beating in the press. She should go on the news and defend him lol
“For the second time in my adult life, I’m really ticked at my husband, the White House is mineeeeeeeeee, I’m Michelle Obama, i left my church for this, give it to me”"
#577 Barbara4Hill
The Kennedys aren’t the only ones who have been quiet lately. Many of the big names that have endorsed Obama made a grand appearance for a day or two, then disappeared. Oprah, Edwards, Gore, to name a few, all gave Obama a boost, then went back to their daily lives. Obviously, there’s not much substance behind their endorsements.

That would work. but we need a puma driving the bus. got to promote puma, not bo
maybe a puma as a tour guide with bo and mo carrying their baggage??? Money, dean, wright, etc. falling out. Still headed into beautiful puma country. with hungry pumas waiting
Hello, PUMAs,
I would like to suggest that every PUMA who is available should hand out flyers in front of wherever the dreaded “joint fundraisers” for Obama’s campaign are to be held. We are now hearing the constant drone of “Hillary will campaign with Obama next week!!” coming from the MSM.
I urge all PUMAs to take action: Find out where these “joint stomach-turners” are taking place, wear your “Hillary” gear and buttons, and make yourselves known to the crowd that enters the hall. We have to use this horrible exploitation of Hillary to our advantage. Let the Obama donors hear and feel a loud, hard PUMA SLAP! as they scurry into the hall to hear the nominee-select spout garbage about “party unity” while holding Hillary hostage!

bo burying things in graveyard with pumas watching????
See now if we called it the black house then it would be racist, but they can say it. I think there should be a law against painting it black. LOL

i like unity pony goandersen. especially if bo on back of it!
How about a Puma ripping a “flip-flop” apart, while the “unity pony” group watches and cries.
and then we turn into big teeth and growl and he turns white
Yeah maybe black seal on the black house. Maybe he’ll want to move it to Chicago

Hi PUMAs-I haven’t logged on much today because, in addition to trying to get a few things done around my house I have also been doing some research. It dawned on me that all federal employees are subject to a Code of Conduct. Usually this Code of Conduct includes provisions for association with disreputable people, doing behaviors that reflect poorly on the agency or bureau, etc. I found this website
http://usasearch.gov/search?input-form=simple-firstgov&v%3Asources=firstgov-search-select&v%3Aproject=firstgov&query=Code+of+Conduct%2C+United+States+Senate&x=22&y=14
I just barely got started on it and it is too late for my brain to comprehend what I will be looking at. I will do more searching tomorrow. What I do know is that I am a U.S. citizen who is paying taxes. Which means that the president of the United States is being paid by me. Ergo, I am the employer and the President is my employee. And, I am not hiring someone to work for me who has the shady associations that *61 does. So, I am going to find the section of the Code of Conduct for U.S. Senators that covers *61’s financial dealings with Rezko, his association with Rev. Wright, etc. and then start to work on getting that violation of the Code of Conduct publicized. Every single federal employee is held to a standard (the Code of Conduct). *61 is a U.S. Senator, ergo he is a federal employee and I am his employer. Now I just need to find the documentation to fire his sorry…well, you get the picture.

[[ There are so many sites in which to make donations, and so many rules as to where the money goes after a nominee is elected, or selected, as the term may apply, that I’ve just made it my habit to send my contributions to Senator Clinton via snail mail.]]
Then why not just go to or direct others to the official HillaryClinton.com website to make donations. Also, someone posted that snail mail contributions must be accompanied by a special FORM to make it a legal contribution.

Regarding polls… and especially in this year’s General Election cycle. What we have to remember is the fact that by campaigning in all 50 states the democraphics have been logged and categorized. So al a pollster has to do to favor one candidate over the other is to interview people from a SELECT sampling.
For example: You go into a South Carolina area where BHO did well and ask, “Who do you prefer, BHO or McCain? And bingo, Mr O’s got a good rating. Now mix that with an area where McCain did poorly and you’ve got a poll that says what you *want* it to say.
