We’ve been trying to wake Left Loonistan up from its Koolaide-induced stupor for months now. But they’ve only lashed back at us like frat boys crazed on crystal-meth. Well, maybe it’s too late for them, but, does anyone really believe that the Republicans have their heads in the sand as deeply as the Cheetohs do? There must be lots of sand in Ilostmybrainistan. Maybe the combination of koolaide and meth makes them crave the taste of sand?

Welcome all, more power to us PUMAS!!!
I apologize if this offends anyone, but the fact is that what I have written at the CNN political ticker is a fact. I’m no political philosopher, but I’ve read enough of their writings to know that what I’ve written is a fact…
CNN political ticker, story “Obama sidesteps question about Gore joining ticket.”

To Axelrod and his Obamabots, please stop highjacking my name–Brian Knoxville, TN–to salaciously undermine my right to speak in our democracy. Frankly, it’s just not wise. If you continue to undermine our democratic system and the principles upon which it is based, none of us will have any choice in the end other than to attack each other like a bunch of rabid animals. We need our democratic system and the principles upon which it is based to keep America strong, you morons, and all you care about is your petty self-interests and desire for power by any means.
Puma Democrat
should Farahan have been included in that video?
Ok, who wrote the comment at the CNN political ticker, at the story “Pro-Obama groups defy senator’s wishes?”

Wow, I so totally needed that laugh. Thank you.
Only Hill #370, I had copied and pasted an email that I received today from DSCC. By no means was I advocating getting BO into the Whitehouse. I was merely letting everyone know which states they needed to target and who is up for re-election.
Brian, what happened?
Also, does anyone have email addresses for
Debra Bartoshevich(WI) or Sacha Millstone (CO)? We need to send these women some PUMA love for standing with Hillary!

Knoxville Puma, never offended…sometimes you have to fight fire with fire!!
I think you do a great job with the Obamabots.
#6 Hillgirl, What happened, you ask? Are you referring to my #2? Obamabots have highjacked my name at CNN’s political ticker and if finally got to me. I don’t mean to get all philosophical, but there was a great historian in Ancient Greece who wrote about how the Athenian democracy was destroyed in large part because small groups of people began to twist the meanings of words and to get the people to do things that were harmful to their democracy. I think for a moment I took it personally, but frankly what the Obama campaign is doing may actually be worse than the deceptive tactics used by Karl Rove to trick millions of people into voting for Bush. What they’re doing overall is that bad.
Sorry Mac if I misunderstood…I thought you were promoting the DSCC.
The character depictions are a stitch, 1st one looks like Dr. Phil and I think the last looks like Jerry Springer, both of which i despise. Go figure.
#6 Hillgirl, in addition to Debra Bartoshevich(WI) or Sacha Millstone (CO), please let’s remember to send thank you to norma fisher flores, El Paso superdelegate.

I only have time now for one last comment, so here it goes: did the Democratic Party’s supposed leaders really sh*t on one of the best candidates that they have had in years so that they could turn our party over to one of the worst? How did this happen?
I sent that video out to my list of contacts and MySpace folks.
Makes me ill to watch. Shower time.
omg. This YouTube video is AMAZING. I want the world to see this!!! I’ll log onto YouTube after dinner and try to make comments all over the place. PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS.
later, gators ……..

Obama, the DNC and Axlegrease are just the tip of the root to this problem. Keep digging, I am sure there is more……much more.
I hope this video makes it to Fox news, and other news outlets. Maybe we can make it a viral video in a couple days.
Brian ~ what happened?? Can we respond to whatever ….. ??
Thanks Murph for letting me know the article had already been posted. So many blogs so little time . . .
Sent my note off to Senator Cantwell (D-WA) to “thank” her for her courageous support of Clinton at a time when the media and pundits declared her gone. I urged her to continue to support her all the way through the convention in August and reminded her that there are 18 million others supporting her. I feel better now.
Knoxville Puma you are on a roll, keep going.
Hillaryis theone, there is no way that I could support the DSCC. I just stay on the mailing lists so I know what they are up too.
tha video is good¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
but I am having problems watching it

Brian, I just posted this to someone that has used your name on thread “Obama sidesteps question about Gore joining ticket”
THE ABOVE COMMENT IS NOT FROM Brian Knoxville TN !!
IT IS FROM AN OBAMABOT IDIOT USING Brian Knoxville TN NAME, I GUESS THAT IS THE WAY THE OBAMABOTS WORK…TRAINED BY OBAMA HIMSELF.
CNN SHOULD HAVE A WAY TO STOP THIS. THEY HAVE ALSO USED MY NAME MANY TIMES….THAT IS NOW WHY I AM Down with Obama….I just laughed when I seen one Obamabot use it praising Obama and his user name is Down with Obama!!
#10 Feathersonwind, great post! I think we need to put some pressure on the CHC, many were strong Hillary supporters and we would hate for them to go to the dark side.
#6 Hillgirl
Sacha is actually a staunch Hillary supporter and she’s a big fundraiser here in Colorado. I get action emails from her often and will defend her to the end if the undemocratic party start to harass her. I have her email address but don’t really want to give it out here for fear that these folks from Ilostmybrainistan (LOL over that one) might sent her hate mails or worse.
I’ll send her some love on behalf of everyone here. She knows about this site and have directed those on her email list to come here and give it support.
Love the video, politics does make for very strange bedfellows. In BO’s case he has been in bed with these criminals for most of his adult life now.
I wish we could send this video to each and every BO supporter to at least make them think.
#13 knoxvillepuma, yes the DNC really sh*t on the best candidate we’ve had in years to turn it over to the worst! What has the DNC done? How could they do it? Why in the hell did they do it?
Something big is going on and I am sure if we just keep digging we will find it.
So BO’s camp refused to comment on if Al Gore was going to be on the ticket. Hillary and Al Gore would have been the dream ticket, if he goes to BO’s VP I will never vote for him again. I refuse to vote for Obama, he is not the answer to what America needs he is just the opposite.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but just seeing those words—roarrrrrr:)
Thanks Mac for keeping your fingers on the pulse of what is going on.
Murphy – I can’t find the link to purchase a t-shirt. HELP!!!
Great video………..can we send this to fox news?? I get so upset over who this man really is, and so many who refuse to see it !!! WHAT IN THE HELL DOES IT TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO WAKE UP ??? People are talking about a revolution::: That is what their going to get alright if BHO gets in…………….
just mad as hell..
Here’s a group we need to target, they were big Hillary supporters and they now are going to donate $250,000 to MoveOn.org
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), a major union whose members endorsed and fought hard for Hillary Clinton, are joining in on a ad relating to John McCain and Iraq. Does anyone have information on how we can get to them?
#13 Knoxville Puma
I’ve been asking this question on EVERY blog every place I write..it’s the same question.
What is going on? How could this Party throw Hillary, by far the best and honestly, the ONLY candidate capable of winning, under the bus, and deem BO the SELECTED ONE? Could this be some sort of left wing conspiracy..No one has answered this question for me.
After watching this video, I have to ask..who’s in charge?

Great UTUBE….so many associates.
UTUBE suggestions:
1) all the great comments obama made about Hillary on those last days…
2) all the losers who came out to endorse obama, kennedy, edwards, gore, kerry……
I have a close friend in Argentina. They are having BIG problems over there right now. Roads are being blocked by the farmers in protest of the tax the new President wants to inpose on them. The Preident who stole last years election. Basically, the country has come to a stand still. I have been afraid for her. But I am also afraid for me now. Afraid for all of us here in this nation. Each day that passes, I become more afraid. I just can’t believe my country is being hijacked by the power and money of corrupt people. And in my thoughts, it goes much deeper than any of us know about. Sometimes it feels as though we are shouting from every myn top, yet no one is listing.
Don’t mean to be so negative, just gets to me sometimes. Thank God for the PUMA’S…………
I NEED A SPELL CHECK !!! LOL

Y’all, the following is the content of the email I received this morning. I’ve removed the person’s name, although I’ve never heard of the person, and found that she got my name from a Real Estate Conference that I attended to get my CEU’s. Check out the salutation, sounds like aliens from the mother ship!
Greetings ,
My name is . Over the past several months I have been making contributions to the “Obama for America” campaign and as a result, I have been invited to the “Obama for America” meeting as one of the hosts of the Jacksonville, Florida campaign event. To date, I have raised nearly $3,000! But, my goal is $10,000 by Friday, June 20, 2008, which is the date of the Jacksonville event. Please support me as I help Senator Barack Obama become “our new President”!
I’d like to thank you in advance for your financial support in this campaign and I know that we are all ready to vote in November!
Commitment Needed:
We need a commitment of $1,000 from three supporters, $500 from 6 supporters, and $100 from 15 supporters. If you are not able to give in any of these quantities, it is not a problem. Please feel free to give what you can!

Thanks for your support! Pass it on…..and I appreciate each of you!! Be blessed!
Just read on Politico that Hillary will be appearing with Nobama June 26th for a fundraising event for the ConDemmed Party and their selected one.

re: #43 That’ll be a sad day. If she does appear, it’s like conceding IMO. What make that article even worse are the comments posted below it.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-06-12-fundraisers_N.htm
“But on Tuesday, the Sacramento developer took a step she never imagined: She donated $4,600 to Barack Obama. “As hard as it is to let go of the dream, I believe that we need to beat John McCain,” Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis said.”
Isn’t that over the limit that a person can donate to a campaign?
RE: #43
The event is a fund raiser for NOBAMA……requested of Clinton’s following????
IS this the end?
WTF??? Why is this guy running?? How did this happen??? Where is Rod Serling???

I sent the following email to that fine lady:
Just a short note to tell you that your support for our Hillary is very much appreciated; and we know how hard it must be to stand steady when there is so much pressure to cave in to the DNC and Obama. You are a portrait of strength, and please continue your support.
We are working in groups under an umbrella group to and we are millions in numbers. I am now a Hillary Republican unless the DNC fesses up and does right by us in nominating the candidate that was the will of the people – Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Some of us have taken on additional tasks of documenting all misogynist, sexist, ageist and discriminatory acts/remarks toward women and Hillary.
We will call them out on women bashing – and this is in addition to supporting the only qualified Democratic candidate for President –HRC..
Thank you for reading my note. God bless you. God bless Hillary, and God save our country.
Can we all agree that if a person/persons who do not agree with something posted on here to email that person as opposed to airing our conflicts here – or even better just don’t act on the things that you personally disagree with-refer to downthreads?
SUSY T…………….Sounds like a scam to me. A chain letter. Someone exploiting Obama to make money !!

When I think about those poor lost souls who don’t seem to understand the gravity of the situation our nation is in, it too pisses me off. I think cant they understand that this man is a racist? Why cant they see it? It is right in front of their eyes! Cant they see this man has no qualifications to be President? Cant they see that his friends are all racists and criminals? Cant they understand that when uncommitted delegates are given to one person over another it is wrong? Now if those uncommitted delegates were given to Hillary we would have heard racism shouted from the mountaintops.
Cant you see how we as human beings don’t want our mothers, sisters, or daughters treated the way Hillary has been treated during this campaign?
When Larry Sinclair takes that polygraph tomorrow and passes, I wonder what the BO supporters will say about that. It was rigged. BO never slept with that man, and BO will be made out to be some kind of victim. Right?
I think the only way we can change things is by keeping BO out of the White House, and together we can!
I will give BO the double whammy, and vote for McCain!
If the DNC don’t wake up quickly and endorse Hillary, McCain will be our next President, and sometimes I think that is what the DNC wants! Why else go for a first time senator? The real winner was right in front of their faces. I believe that somehow they really don’t want to win the White House this year.
If BO does not win in November, like I know will happen, does he have the right to run again? If not, this may be an even better reason not to vote for him. We will never be bothered by that racist ass again! Sorry for the language, but I get pretty freakin mad too sometimes.
Just read a comment above about Al Gore as VP …made me want to hurl my lunch. The BO camp won’t comment because they want the dems who are worried to believe that there’s a chance that it would happen. Al ain’t gonna run for VP, why would he? He’s doing his own thing, making money hand over fist and doesn’t have to answer to anyone. Remember when BO said during the primary ‘Al and I are in contact everyday’ making it sound like he and Gore were in talks of a cabinet position. BO and his camp are frauds.
I knew there was a reason Obama chose that particular church (Apostolic Church of God) last sunday for his “be a good dad” speech. The pastor leads a task force for Governor Rod Blagojevich who attends that church and used that same church to make a plug for pharmacuetical companies. Nice way to pump up dollars there.
Blagojevich got into hot water when he gave a $1 million grant to the Pilgrim Baptist church in Chicago over the assumption by many who felt this was an attempt to buy the AA support. So add this to what the task force is about, creating a haven and early release program for criminals in the Chicago area. Exactly who’s chickens are coming home to roost. Well, Rezko will have a nice place to return to. Why do I bring Rezko into this picture, because … guess who had Rezko as his advisor (note the newspaper clip in the video) So I’m taking a leap here, with confidence that I’m right, Just another triangle with one new face Blagojevich, but two old faces Rezko and Obama, and a pharmaceutical company, how interesting.
These guys should avoid the triangular relationships, its too easy to get cornered in them.

Great idea. Let’s ask AFSCME to donate the money to pay Hillary’s debt.
Roe v Wade –
-will NOT be done away with, it set a presidence [sp?]
-it should be moot for most women in this day and time any way, I personally am done done done with the childbearing years
-HRC said abortions should be safe/legal/rare, I agree
-making them illegal will make those performed illegally UNSAFE and who would want that? Maybe it is time that the youth stand up to this because they are most affected by it now.
And, we have more than one attorney aboard that they could shed some light on this subject – and I know that one of them does NOT think Roe vWade will be done away with irregardless of who is President – it hasn’t yet and we have had Presidents who would have done away with it if they could -recall Bush and his right wing consituency?

Can we have another to pay down HRC’s debt??

He is just another thug.
Now that video above is what I have been pleading for. Let’s shoot the ratings up until it goes viral. Or maybe the groups combine could make it into a commerical.
We must quickly get the message out to the common man how liberal and Marxist Obama is; and these factual reports coming from news agencies combined with the humor does just that. Tom Delay said that the halt to Obama will be when the blue collars and middle America learn that he is the most Left Liberal in Congress and that his values opposed theirs.

it is a great resource for us to build our base
the easiest way to find hillary supporters in your area
is enter your zip code and hit search !
then you will see the people in your immediete area who have donated to hillary , then you can send them info realavent to our cause ! i think this is an incredible opportunity for us to reach out to folks in our own back yards and to spread the word about puma and no deal ect. ect. ect .
thanks todd
Yeah, triangulated – that was one of the words used to describe Obama.
NEWSPAPERS
Some newspapers require you to send your name, address, and phone number when you are writing letters for them to print in their newspapers. My local newspaper does. But all they print is your first and last name and city and state.
I do not have much time and not real good on the computer however I want to do something. I would like to pass our flyers. Where do I get flyers? I will email thank yous if you give me addresses and reason. Thanks
Just heard on the news that the Hillary Clinton Finance Director is urging her supporters to attend a meeting in Washington, D.C. on June 26th at the Mayflower hotel in a joint NOBAMA/Hillary appeal for contributions to HIS campaign. Oh, Pleeeese! This is so sad. Doesn’t the selected one have enough money already?
Just reported on CNN, everyone is suppose to come to DC, I think it said July 2 for a fundraiser for Obama…Hillary wants all her supporters to donate to Obama!!

The “Unity Pony” is pressuring HRC to show up with No
Name. She knows we won’t contribute.
I have to say, Hillary has a lot of forgiveness in her heart to go to these events and help raise money for the Democrats after what they did to her, her husband, and all of her supporters (us).
That video was great, I didn’t even know about a couple of those people he was associated with. More people definitely need to see this. Obama is losing in Michigan and Florida at the moment, and the map is so close right now that one more state in McCain’s favor will make him win. McCain needs to start working over the states with lots of Hillary supporters: OH, and PA are a good start.
hi friends, this is the copy of the email I sent to the Florida Democratic Party after reading that Hillary would rally together with Obama, I hope it won’t happen. Let me know if you are planning to do anything in Florida.
——————————————————-
I am writing this email concerned of the mere existence of this institution in Florida, especially now that the presumptive nominee, Mr. Barack Obama, stated that he can win the White House without Florida.
Mr. Obama not only did everything he could to ignore us in FLorida, now he is demonstrating that Florida does not count in his ambitious plans. I wonder how the Democratic Party tolerates such declarations by a member of its own party.
I am an Independent who has always voted Democrats. I even thought about changing my party affiliation, but in the light of the way the Democratic Party maneuvered the nomination, decided not to join the party, because I feel it’s not in accordance with my principles.
I hope that when Mr. Obama comes to Florida begging for votes and for money, the Florida Democratic Party will give him the answer he deserves.
We, Floridians, know what kind of answer we will give him. First our votes count as half, then, we do not exist. What is next?
Is he running for president of Some of the United States? It is really a shame that the party has joined Barack Obama into this political show. Didn’t the votes of millions of Floridians for Hillary send you a clear message?
I can not defect the party because I have never belonged to it, but my vote this year won’t be for the Democrats, and I really doubt I will in future elections. But I believe that many honest and dedicated long time democrats are defecting the party after what you have done.
I hope the rest of the nation will listen to the 18 million of Americans that voted for the best candidate. I thought it was a clear message. An empty promise for change can not be enough to justify the actions of the Democratic Party and its highest leaders to nominate a candidate they know will never win.
I have joined PUMA and will protest the 2008 democratic election process.

Dems: Pick Hillary at convention

Here is my comment on their post:
Amen, and pass the biscuits. Reject the SELECTED[Obama]. Respect the ELECTED[Clinton].
Donna Brazile has told us Clinton supporters that the DNC and undemocratic Democratic Party now longer needed or wanted us; we are the old coalition and they have a much better NEW coalition now. Obama says that he can win without Mi and FL ! Roflmao on that one. It is probably just as well that Obama has said he did not want or need us in FL because we will not forget the ones that voted [or in Obama's case refused to let us revote] me half a person.
I just sign my name as Jane Crow, my husband as Jim Crow – but I liked the moniker that one of the “typical” ladies told Obama in his response to Hillary’s gas tax only being short term and she answered,’That’s okay, we are all Short Termers anyway.” So, since that day I have been ShortTermer
How does the song go to Barry Manilow’s “I Can’t Sing Without You?”Just change the words to …..’You Can’t Win Without Me…”

Pumas Phony Plants?
Found this post on the story about Hillary asking for money for BO on politico. There is no speaking rationally to these people, if anyone cares to comment back to these dumb-asses go ahead and try. They are a bunch of idiots to whom the facts mean nothing.
All the so called Puma’s are phony and plants by the Clinton campaign. Obama has a 20 point lead among women vs McCain. Puma’s feel free to vote for McCain, the conservative base will be sitting out this election so it won’t matter.

Hillary needs to go back into whatever hole she came from. This is now Obama’s election not hers. All of the Hillary supporters need to realize that Obama is their new leader. They should submit and unite behind him.
HBO IS OUR NEW LEADER? SUBMIT AND UNITE BEHIND HIM? KISS MY A$$!!! I AM NOT GETTING BEHIND HIM!!! In Russia they say “I AM NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM EVEN IF YOU PAID ME”!!! MY VOTE IS NOT FOR SALE!!! I APPOLOGIZE FOR MY LANGUAGE, BUT I AM JUST VERY, VERY ANGRY!!!
ALSO, DNC is getting ready to sue McCain!!! Brian, can we please now start sending letter to his office getting him to RESIGN? PLEASE!!! Murphy, please let me do it.
Oh, our worst nightmare so far is not over yet. Nancy Pelosi won the primary with 89% of the vote. AAAAAA!!! HELP!!! Please, Hillary Family, please help me.

I posted mine over on YouTube as well, but set up a new account first, I don’t want those Obamabots harrassing me while i’m listening to Scissor Sisters. I so love their videos
According to MSNBC tonight, all the women supporters of Hillary Clinton will get “in line” when they finally discover (because we’re all apparently ignorant) that a McCain presidency threatens Roe v. Wade….ohhhh there’s a wedge issue we’ve never heard before…
Perhaps we should go to that joint fundraiser in DC and wear our PUMA shirts, cleverly hidden, then shown at the proper time, of course. Even better if it’s televised.
Until the msm’s love affair with no name ends we’re definitely fighting an uphill battle.
I am really surprised at the low count of viewers at UTUBE for some of the videos. 30K, 300K. That isn’t a lot of viewers. Very few had 1-2M.
Tells me that there aren’t a lot of bloggers?

Hi PUMAs, I just joined but I am not new to the site. My mom, Webfoot, has been keeping me posted on what has been happening. I’ll get more involved when college finals are over. Just wanted to get on and applaud everyone. Thanks Murphy for this great site. Now I am off to go and study for the next final.

Lou Dobbs is a pretty fair guy most of the time. If we could get him going that would help a lot.
Yipes, what can be done about this myth regarding Roe v. Wade, tired of hearing about it?

Question, why do all roads to lies and deceit lead to Chicago?
“Quote”
Patti Solis Doyle, the former Clinton campaign chief who was ousted in February over charges of poor preparation and overspending, has talked informally with Obama top adviser David Axelrod about working for the Illinois senator in the general election, Politico.com reports. Though Axelrod and Doyle won’t confirm that they’ve been in negotiations about a possibly position, they admit that they’ve talked and Doyle wants to help out. The two have known each other from Chicago before Doyle even started working with the Clintons.

We have to somehow let people know that it’s a lie that McCain will OVERTURN Roe vs. Wade We could try holding another protest, but I don’t know what else to do. Maybe flood editors of newspapers.
Can you please give me feedback on this letter which I want to email to Coward Dean. I want to ask him to please resign ASAP!!!
Dear Gov. Dean,
I an immigrant from the former USSR, and I have been here for 14 years. I am a life-long Democrat. However, your leadership over the election this year in inexcusable.
Elections in the USSR were usually a joke. No matter how you voted, the results were fixed. It was just a formality to have people go to the polls.
This country has given me endless opportunities, and a new meaning to life. Our elections here are Democratic–people like you and me decide the outcome, not leaders in the back room. You disregarded me and millions of other people who decided who they wanted to be our next President.
Thank you all,

#96 murphy. My daughter is a Hillary delegate…all the way to the state level. And she just turned 18 this year. So much for the PUMAs being a bunch of angry old women, huh? My husband and son are Hillary supporters also but are going to leave the blogging to us.
action items accomplished today: wrote to my two state senators and thanked them for supporting Hillary Clinton. My senators are Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. I’ll let the PUMA family know if I hear back from them.

we should get this u tube to dobbs and Hannity on fox good duo. I dont know how to do that . Oops gave my age away yes? lol I remember when Obama people sent letter they would supply DNC with all the money they needed so dont go with Hillary. Now they are so far behind (DNC) It is setting in now. Obama haveing meetings with Hillarys Latino and other super d’s is not a good thing. They were really pressuring some. I cannt see why something cannt be done. Also Is there a way to check all these new registrants he brings in?? More and more I am seeing all states finding bogus papers. One place out of thousand new registrants only 4 were legit. This looks like Obama he figures no one would pour over them all.Is there a way? He is out again .He gives people all ready filled out applications for him.Just drives me nuts he can get away with so much. How bout moveing the DNC can he do that?
#97 goanderson. I haven’t decided if I am going to do anything with the fundraiser information website. Yesterday someone asked how to get on the list. Donations get reported to the national committee (at least that’s what our state committee told me). I assume the national committes for both parties then report it and it ends up on this website. The website is not current on its’ donation list.
ROE V WADE ARGUMENT
when you are blogging or discussing and having roe v wade dangled as a reason to vote obama this is what you do. ask the person if they have ever actually read the decision. they most likely have not. tell them to educate themselves as roe v wade as a desicion has practically nothing to do with abortion.
yes, the decision did in fact make abortions legal, but it was not because the court said that women could have abortions. the court stated that there was an implied right to privacy in the constitution with regards to our bodies (men and women).
the reason it hasn’t been overturned is because it really isn’t about abortion. if overturned, the precedent for privacy and citizens bodies would no longer exist. this privacy includes everything from diet, and nutrition to more complex issues like medical care.
that’s why the desicion has stood. BO knows this because he has a law degree and this is common constitutional law 101 stuff.
challenge the fear provoking bloggers to read and learn!
Hey, Murphy my step mom has been trying to log in. But, there is a problem with her password..I had her email you to see what we could do. When she tried to re-registure… the response was there was a user already with that name. I know it’s her. HELP!!! Her user name is Boubala. Thanks…..I think the problem occurred when she changed the auto-pass word to her own. Now, it won’t acknowledge either…
dcinvegas, that was awesome!
Senator Clinton is still part of the DP, and she has to attend these unity events. However, as PUMAS, we cannot be distracted by all these activities. The big goal is to defeat *61.
Why would Al Gore want to be Vice-President again? The key office to reach for any politician is the Presidency.
I think it’s pretty obvious that the ConDemmed Party is in big $$$ trouble. Somewhere I read that they only have $15 mil for the convention. Poor babies. First, Nobama is begging the poor for $5, next the endorsement of Gore (they probably thought that would spike donations) and now the appearance of Hillary asking for donations (I’m sure she had no choice.) Gee, do you think we might be making an impact?
If I understood correctly, Nobama was going to ask his big donors to help pay down Hillary’s debt because his supporters didn’t want the money to come from their donations. So, I hope the Selected One doesn’t try to lay a guilt trip on folks and say it’s to pay down her debt. Of course, I wouldn’t put it past the sleaze.

I think Rezko and Wright wrote BO’s exams for him… one is endowed with the power of BS and the other knows the criminal system inside and out.
Good idea I saw over at confluence. Send 1/2 checks to obama and the dnc! (of course the half with no routing or acct. numbers. Tell them since they only counted half the votes, here is half a check. we can sign stick it where the sun don’t shine. lol.
Mildred Gaddis is on Lou Dobbs….yapping that Hillary played the race card over and over causing the division in the party….quick…someone sew her lips together!!!
#113 prplvette85
LOL I love that idea. I have some twoonie centres that were popped out, I can send half a toonie, lol hey! i can send hime a big chek, watch him drool then say sorry bud, accepting this violates the rules.
Make the check for 1/2 cents and sign “PUMA PAC Democrat”
suzyT
I just saw that too. I can’t believe nobody calls them on that assertion.
It upsets me to no end.
The racecard was first played by a black commentator on MSNBC on the night of the New Hampshire primary. He was upset that the exit polls didn’t match the actual numbers and he implied that people had lied to the pollsters so that they didn’t look like bigots. But of course MSNBC won’t accept this blame. That’s when I stopped watching any of them.
As a long time supporter of our POTUS pick, I seek ways to work on her behalf – and for the causes and issues she believes in and supports. It is personal for me because I made an oath on the evening she stepped aside, that I would do whatever I could to support her cause and mission. In my debate and discussion with BO folk and others, I try to share Hillary’s values and honor her passion and compassion. From a policy perspective, I seek to promote her issues and causes. To that end, I feel compelled to carefully weigh my support of any other candidate based on Hillary’s perspective. Choice is a passionate issue for Hillary – and she is genuinely concerned about what the Supreme Court could do to undermine the law of the land. Many out there keep insisting that McCain won’t have the ability, the will, or even the power to appoint a judge to tilt the court. Frankly, the implications of casting my vote based on THAT is even more frightening. I shudder to think my vote might come down to this: “Well, John McCain won’t be effective in getting the Supreme Court to do what he wants it to do (outlaw abortion, as per his own website), so it’s okay to vote for him.” Vote for him because he probably won’t have the power to get the court to overturn it? If this were of little importance to Hillary than I’d probably go along with this idea – a harmless little protest vote. But it’s not a small thing to Hillary. HRC cares so deeply about choice and IS concerned about how the Supreme Court might rule in the future. Because she cares about it, I take it seriously also and believe it is valid grounds for discussion when considering for whom to vote. When I do pull that lever in November, I want my vote to be thoughtful and reasoned and reflects my own personal “WWHD” (what would Hillary do) philososophy. While Roe shouldn’t be the ONLY discussion, it seems to me that it does have a legitimate place on the table. Why? Because Hillary herself put it there. I don’t think she would have made it such a prominent part of her own platform, if she wasn’t concerned about its future. I’m all for “protest” votes, but not when it comes to matters of the war, the environment, civil rights or women’s reproductive rights. I simply cannot cast a vote – even a protest one, for someone who isn’t a champion of the things I hold most dear. It’s just not enough that he doesn’t have the power to change the law – it’s that HE DOESN’T SUPPORT a women’s reproductive rights. I’d be friends with him, have a beer with him. But I want my vote to go to someone that thinks along the same lines as Hillary. Geez, isn’t there a peace and freedom candidate, lol.
This, from her webpage, under issues: “When I’m President, I will appoint judges to our courts who understand that Roe v. Wade isn’t just binding legal precedent, it is the touchstone of our reproductive freedom, the embodiment of our most fundamental rights, and no one – no judge, no governor, no Senator, no President – has the right to take it away
Appointing Justices that will uphold the right to privacy – Senator Clinton opposed the nominations of Justices Alito and Roberts to the Supreme Court because she believed they represented the greatest threat to Roe since it was decided. Her prediction has been born out through Gonzales v. Carhart, the first time the Supreme Court upheld a law outlawing a specific abortion procedure. As President, Hillary will nominate justices who share her view that the Constitution protects a woman’s right to make the most fundamental decisions about her life and health, and that the right to privacy is a fundamental right.
Enacting the Freedom of Choice Act – Hillary will sign into law the Freedom of Choice Act, which would codify Roe v. Wade and send a renewed signal to the courts that the will of Congress and the President is to keep abortion legal.

If Hillary does appear with the chosen one on June 26th then that is her choice. My choice is to donate zero money to his campaign. My choice is to vote against him in November if the DNC continues their selection versus election process in August. My choice is to continue to work with other PUMAs to rebuild the shambles that has become the hallmark of the Democratic party. I hold the utmost respect and admiration for Senator Clinton. For the first time in my life I have become actively involved in a presidential campaign. Because Hillary is absolutely the best person I have ever seen run for this office. I understand the choices she has to make. I am sure she understands the choices I have to make.
Queen 81 wrote: “the reason it hasn’t been overturned is because it really isn’t about abortion. if overturned, the precedent for privacy and citizens bodies would no longer exist. this privacy includes everything from diet, and nutrition to more complex issues like medical care.”
Well, how about that? Some actual knowledge and a fact-based argument! Queen must be on a kool-aide restricted diet.
Although I would argue that BO knows this bc he has a law degree. No offense to all the brilliant lawyers here, but wasnt he the guy who said that he’s overturn the unconstitutional laws he didnt like when he became president?
I guess he thinks he’d be in charge of ALL THREE BRANCHES of government if the smart citizens of this country would ever let him within “uhhh-ing” distance of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Ok, Today I printed out 10 flyers and mailed them to 10 names and addresses I found On the donars to Hillary. I even made my own return address labels on publisher with a picture of a Puma and wrote on it ” One of 18 Million” I plan on extending out more and sending 10 more in the next couple of days. I am also writing SD’s. I took a little break today to spend with my daughter and grandchildren.
I will be doing the kool-aid thing but I have to find a coupon for some kind of drink first. Anything ever come of the teabag idea? I think it is a wonderful idea. I also like the tombstone pictures. I saved them in my pictures.
Hope everyone had a great day. It has been very nice here after all this crazy flooding. The worst I’ve seen in my 54 years. It really stinks around here now with the heat. My daughter sent me pics from where she lives in Cedar Rapids, IA. Their’s was even worse than ours. I’m closer to Des Moines.
Everyone is doing a great job. Keep it up. I don’t always post but I am sure busy behind the scene. Sometimes I sit at this puter so long my butt gets sore and my legs stiffen up. But it is all worth it. Hillary is the best thing that happened to us since JFK and Bill. I was just about 10 back when JFK was president but I sure remember those times. The grief was overwhelming when he died. Obama is certainly no JFK or MLKing. He’s in imposter. Thanks for listening to my rant.

I got a letter from Obama today. I didn’t open it, where it says Yes we can, I wrote No You Can’t. Put PUMA Democrat on it also in several places and Return to sender. Can I send it back with return to sender on it or should I put it in another envelope and mail it back?

goAlucard ~ (#243) you rock. you really do. I have admired your devotion, dedication and hard work on HC.com and here – and I’m so grateful for all your encouragement and help with directing my own efforts!
Tarma ~ (#257) Excellent letter on Roe v. Wade!
Sartom ~ (#283) ROFL on “Go Cappielli!” I had to unsubscribe 2 times to Chris Murphy’s website before it took (after I explained how disappointed I was in his endorsement of BO). I could have given him an emessage for you!
gordana ~ (#292) Loved your Schumer letter!

JGoldman1 (#708 yesterday) … Easton and Salisbury !! such a small world, isn’t it?
I just got off a phone call from a Naomi from http://www.independentvoting.org . She called because I had signed up to work for promotion of Independent voting in primaries – when I made up my mind to change my affiliation from Democrat the first week in June. They are fund raising to help battle a backlash in Idaho directed at Indep. by the Repub. Party. Anyway, I explained that any money I have to donate is going to this cause and that my heart and mind are focused on this fight right now. Unfortunately, we got to talking about why I am disgusted with the DNC/unDemocratic Party and my tongue got tied. I did a really poor job explaining – but that’s what happens when I become emotional – LOL – the connect between my brain and tongue blows a fuse. geesh. She turned out to be a BO supporter, so that was the end of that. oh well.
I won’t let that diminish my satisfaction in all that we have accomplished today. PUMAs – you are wonderful!
xo, Lizzy
Hi Pumas,
I was out and about today doing some much needed shopping. I put some of the tabbed fliers on bulletin boards at several grocery stores, beauty shops, car washes and laundromats. These were places where I had remembered seeing boards before. Guess I’ll have to look for other places.
Murphy,
Will we have the T-shirts before the weekend of the 4th? I’d like to wear mine to Pride when I go hand out fliers if possible.
A resident of Florida on another blog, received a request from Obummer asking for donations. She sent half of a check and a note of explanation (1/2 vote = 1/2 person = 1/2 donation, etc.) Several others, including me, are getting onboard and doing the same.
All y’all are welcome / invited to do the same.
An alternative is sending pennies and tying up their time dealing with pennies, hundreds, maybe thousands of pennies.
my question
is you are about to work for the goverment(judge, foreing affairs,….etc)…..
you must pass a very scrupulous security clearence
and this is a joke
that for the highest position in the nation
the requirements seems to be infirior than to the other positions
Forgot to mention that my husbands and my new voters registration came today. We changed from Dem to independent. I’m free! My 2 daughters and a friend have also switched.

Thank you for responding to me. It makes me feel really good because only a few people are responding to me. Thank you for your feedback. Does the letter sound like I am very angry? I want to try and avoid that.
Do you think we could do the trick if we used it to flood the newspapers and Lou Dobbs and other people? Hannity and Colmes might be good, and Bill O’Reilly. What about David Letterman? When is Bower going to be on TV again to hit Coward on the head with it? If any of you could join me with it I would great appreciate it.
Murphy, can you please edit it to make it more presentable, so that everybody could send it to Coward? Hey, maybe we could also send it to Nancy? She won 89% of the vote in primary—AAAAAAA!!! I hope that her Republican opponent will destroy her and she will never come near political office again.

You are right about Hillary understanding that we have to make our own choices. My choice is to vote against OB. I have never voted for a republican, but I will if I have to. The DNC has robbed us of the people’s choice, which was Hillary. I could never vote for OB because of all the things I have learned about him, the way the DNC and the media has treated Hillary, OB’s lack of experience, OB’s lack of judgement and the DNC trying to push OB on us even though they know he is not who we want. OB has just got to lose either in Denver or November and pack his bags back to Chicago where he belongs.
It would really be a scary day if OB ever became President. OH, I don’t even want to think of it.
Hillary is my first choice and MCCain is my 2nd choice.
Webfoot and Volcanogirl
Welcome. I live near the volcano in WA State. Thanks, Webfoot for your summary of the Demo Convention in Spokane. Thank heavens, you have a family to turn to during this whole mess. Everyone else in my family is voting Obama although they are respectful of my position. I, too, have sent personal cards of thank you to Patty and Maria. Know them both personally. I’m hand carrying the following to my local newspaper, today.
To The Editor:
As a long-time Democrat, it is with much sadness that I no longer support the Democratic Party in any way. I have officially resigned from the national, state and local units and am now voting as an Independent. I will not be supporting the nominee’s campaign as he was selected, not elected by the Party.
The reasons for my non support are many, but two stand out more than others. First, the refusal of the Party and campaign to step up and fight the sexism that ensued during the primary both in the main stream media and campaign was appalling. Even in local politics (having been a local elected official for 12 years), women are subject to more scrutiny and increasingly slanderous slurs. Secondly, the Democratic Party selected the nominee rather than allow 18,000,000 voters to decide. Not only did the Party and a majority of its super delegates ignore the popular vote, they also disenfranchised millions in Florida and Michigan who voted their very clear choice. Right here in Cowlitz County, the people voted for a different nominee than the Party selected through archaic caucus processes.
In a country that stands on the foundation that everyone has the freedom to choose, the Democratic Party and the nominee’s campaign have been insensitive to the basic right of voting. If anyone is as concerned as I am about the direction that the Democratic Party is taking in this country, please contact the PUMAPAC (People United Means Action) at http://www.blog.pumapac.org.
Sincerely,
PUMA Independent
We are allowed only so many words and everything must be signed with name, address, phone number and verified by the local newspaper. I will be villafied by the local Dems and certainly will not be election material ever again in my life. In fact, I expect that I will get many calls and horrific letters to the editors about me and my position. It won’t be pretty, but its time to take a stand. Thank you for supporting Hillary.
#101 dcinvegas. Thanks for the video. You’re right…it made me laugh.
I like many others here seem very disillusioned about the democratic party and how this primary was held. Most pundits are saying that BO just had a better campaign strategy than Hillary. I say that BO was being groomed for years and learned how to beat the system with his shady tactics especially in the caucus states which a lot of fraud occurred and nothing appears to have been done about it.
Here is an interesting article about the Texas caucus. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/05/texas.caucus.count/index.html
Thanks, Lizzy. I’m shaking in my boots about my letter to the editor, but this whole thing with how Hillary was treated has taken over my life.

I think your letter is very powerful. While we don’t want to sound like we are out for revenge (even though deep down, I am), I see nothing wrong with showing anger as long as it’s professional. There are some great editors in this group who, I’m sure will be glad to help.

I wish that Hillary wouldn’t appear with that slime ball. Ordinary voters do not know the full story here, and because they trust her, they may feel that it’s ok to trust him.
My dream would be for her to appear but take the air time to tell the world just how underhanded he and the Party are.
Next thing we know she’ll be under house-arrest.

Thanks for the Roe vs. Wade info. I’ll get a copy of the law and underline the parts for my husband. He’s so concerned about the Supreme Court decisions or he’d probably join me. Anyone else have any ideas?

Obama wants everybody to pony up five dollars he doesn’t care how poor you are, he knows you got five dollars( I meant Fi dolla, seeing that is how he said it ivy league educated and all) My sister is 38 years old newly divorced with two children under the age of seven, let her tell you how important five dollars is! It is one tank of gas, a gallon of milk, a couple of loaves of bread, maybe lunch money for the kids, hell maybe even herself! This fake and phony false nominee, false messiah, and false champion for the poor and their causes, will be found out. He will have to answer to the people that believe five dollars is indeed important, these people will wake the HELL UP, they will see through this facade, they will uncover the truth about this, inexperienced, fast talking, unpatriotic false nominee of the undemocratic party!
What do you folks think of this.
Would it be advisable to send the “Bedfellows” video (I absolutley love it!) to the state democratic committees along with the correct version of 100 reasons and a note stating that in addition to these Nobamas lack of experience, etc. are just some of the reasons why I won’t be voting for the Selected Nobama? I was also thinking of sending both to editors of major newspapers in the same states. I could probably do 2 or 3 states in my region this weekend.
I would have to figure out how to attach the video, but it shouldn’t be difficult.
I just feel like we need to get more folks informed and motivated against this guy and his gang. Maybe I’m wrong.

Like you.. I am a naturalized citizen of America.
I totally agree with your take regarding the process.
We often idealize things more that natural citizens and think things are more pure than they are. But evil lurks everywhere. (Pelosi, Dean to name a few). For me America and its ideals come before any false unity. I love my adopted country way too much not to stand up for what it stands for.
that is why we must stop Obama, and hope for a miracle.
As Thamos wolf once said:
“The fabulous country…place where miracles not only happen, but where they happen all the time.”
Yesterday, for a very short period, there was a picture posted on Rezko Watch showing a man in a skull cap, lower half of his face covered with a scarf, holding a sign which said: Behead those who insult Obama . I’m not very computer literate and could only print the picture which I do have. Did anyone else see it? Why would it have disappeared?
Hi everyone
DO YOU Remember when Obama and his bots went nuts when Hillary late in the primary said RFK was campaigning in jun and was assassinated.how they where trying to say she was hinting that he was going to be killed. well wait until you here this it is long and i have to wright on a new space and will take some time be don asap.
mayor0102: your letter is wonderful. You have presented the truth in a heartfelt manner. Many will see that and others won’t. Hopefully in a few years those that don’t will grow up.
What was the context of the speech where Obama (in a voice I’ve never heard him use before!) hustles the audience for $5 donations? Where and when was this?
#161 CTKEY,
He’s a puppet candidate for Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid and Daschle. He had basically no record, so they were able to create an illusion. He’s not particularly bright, but sounds great when he practices Axelrod’s speeches or delivers them from a teleprompter.
It’s telling that, while Hillary was constantly changing her stump speech to fit the fluid situation, Obama’s speech has remained the same. He tells you what is wrong with America, then goes into a bunch of touchy-feely, hopey-changey, rhetoric. Somehow, you never hear the part about how he’s going to fix the problems he first identified.
What has thrown a wrench in their little plan is Obama’s little fiends, err, friends! Once they started coming out of the woodwork, the attacks on Hillary became blatant and obvious. Finally, they had to cheat to get her out of the race because they knew he was losing.
He’s just the Dem version of George Bush. You’d think Americans would have caught on by now, but they didn’t in 04. It’s all just depressing!
atypical on #168 on “and because they trust her, they may feel that it’s ok to trust him”
Have you ever considered that the DNC sees it this way too? I shudder to hunch that they may be twisitng her arm into attending. And, if not, her political carrer would be shredded by them.
I am totally incensed that so many Americans seem to be totally oblivious to the friends that Obama has. Why do so many people seem to think past associations don’t count? Americans seem to have abdicated their responsibility to check out the policies that their candidates stand for. I am a life long Democrat as is my moher. We both have decided there is no way we can vote for Obama. I truly believe he is a great danger to our country. McCain had better not just stand back and keep saying he wants to run a respectful candidate. The 527′s for the Moveon people are already starting.
No LizzyinCt – YOU are the one that rocks – its easy to compliment and support those that contribute so much to a valiant effort as you have done – you have always been dedicated and supportive to the cause – that I just happen to believe in myself – the sadness for me comes when November comes and goes and all the people that I have gotten to know for the last 16 months have gone away – Thank you for always being there to help for the cause.

I am really afraid that BO will get some fake registrations past the officials. We need to make sure that these new voters really are allowed to vote or if they are simply names of pets etc.
What BO did to win his senate seat was to have each and every voter registration card looked at with a fine tooth comb, thrown out were those that were printed instead of signed, enough to put BO and only BO on the ballot. WE must fight fire with fire to ensure that each new registration is legit.
The registers office acted like it was just someones idea of a joke. This is not a joke, this is an important situation that they should be taking seriously. Not blowing it off as some kind of joke. What the hell are these people thinking. It wouldn’t be too hard to pay these people off to overlook some voter registration flaws, they do live in the most corrupt city in our country.

BarbNOBO:
Obama did not run a better campaign strategy than Hillary, if so he would have been able to win the big states. The pundits will say anyhting that will eliminate their quilt in pushing the anointed one to the front line. He outspemt Hillary 3/1 in the last primary elections and she won nine of them; he limped to the end of the primary season because he had his butt thumped repeatedly. The SD’s pushed him over the finish line after he ruthlessly accepted delegates/votes that did not belong to him. The crumb snatchers(pundits) are full of hog wash, they know that Hillary beat him, too bad she still has to put up with their unkindness but I am sure she has a master plan, personally I hope that it is not the VP spot. It is amazing that this anointed one needs all of the DEMS to help him to win, can’t he do anything for himself.

Good evening PUMAs. Hope everyone had a good day.
I am catching up on the posts and other blogs. It seems to be busy day.
I was reading the CNN blogs. We (PUMAs) are making some mad. LOL
I was able to pass out some flyers. I made sure I put at least three on every car I saw with a bumpersticker supporting the nonameone.
I am going to visit one of our veterans in a nursing home this weekend. He is a die hard democrat. I am taking the flyers with me to pass out.

The Democratic Party is short on cash for its convention, and Barack Obama had better get his checkbook ready, Moe Lane declares. The party’s convention committee has fallen $11.6 million short of its fundraising goal, according to the AP, and media attention on the committee could embarrass Obama in August, Lane says. Patti Solis Doyle, former campaign manager to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), could turn Obama’s campaign into a soap opera, Pejman Yousefzadeh warns. Many in the Clinton camp have said she is difficult to work with, and her presence with Obama’s team may not be worth the hassle, Yousefzadeh claims.
All anyone has to do to see how undemocratic the Democratic Party is to look at the caucus system and and also how delegates get apportioned in Democratic primaries.

Hello everyone………..did anyone hear about Gov. Jennifer Granholm being booed for mentioning Hillary’s name at a bo gathering ???
I don’t watch the news at all anymore I simply can not stomach it. So today driving I was flipping through the radio stations and landed on Rush, he made a pretty good point, and I quote, I thought Obama was the messiah, why does he need all the democrat heavyweights. It is suggested that Bill Clinton needs to lead the charge on foreign policy and Al Gore the environment. I had to agree, he talks as if he can do anything, why now does he need all of these guys? I know, because he is going to get his ass kicked in the general.

Why should it surprise anyone that the Obama people booed Hillary. They are a disgusting left wing group. I can’t understand for the life of me why Hillary feels she owes Obama anything.

And Sassysenora- I will light one for sandipuma.
Normita is going strong in an email group of old Hill site bloggers that I am also a part of- we are writing letters/emails and protesting MSM- like that Keith dude on msnbc with letters to the shows sponsors–
I have emailed for them to get over here–will do so again- there’s about 10 on that email group.
I think Lucy from Missouri is over here now? Lucy are you here?
Anyway- this Puma Movement is real democracy in Action. History making. Exciting and so worthwhile. I am honored to be part of this Puma Movement with all of you!

It is so nice to the see the Hill family here. Thanks Evy for the candles site…that always seems to offer so much comfort in these tough times, and gives strength.
Hi everyone,
tec 1965 #64–I don’t think the Huffington post link to find doners in our area is very accurate. I plugged in my zipcode and only found one person, and it wasn’t even me, and I donated to Hillary many times.
I am a true supporter of Hillary in every way and wish I was as confident about her just waiting in the wings. The trouble is that I don’t think that the Democratic Party would ever allow anything to prevent Obama being elected. Also, what sense does it make for a supposed moderate like Al Gore to support someone like Obama? What does he have to gain from it? I really don’t see any hope in the Democratic Party at present.
THANK YOU EVY – and will do Sassy – candle for sandipuma for today -

Please send get well cards from now until the middle of next week. Send them via email and fax to every email address and every fax number that we have for every and any supposed leader of the Democratic Party (excepting those who are well and still in touch with the party’s principles, of course!).
Please consider writing the following message to the party’s leaders to encourage them as they try to cope with the suffering of the Democratic Party during this difficult time:
“Dear DNC,
I am saddened to learn that the Democratic Party has not been doing very well and is no longer able to represent the people who have been its most loyal supporters over the years. I hope that the principles of our Democratic Party will make a full recovery. Get well soon!
[Name, City, State]“
I lit a candle for sandipuma too! I hope she’s doing well!
KarlaforHillary: It only goes through the first quarter of the year.
What did everyone put as a cover letter?
Lit a candle, what a beautiful site that is!
#189 disenchanted and #190 sassysenora, yes there is major corruption everywhere, how do we fight it? We haven’t been able to rid this country of it and I don’t believe we will. As long as there are those in the world who would take from even the most needy person, we will have corruption.
I will light a candle for us all, for Hillary and for sandipuma who is ill. I will light a candle for my children and grandchildren in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I will pray that somehow this country can get past all the lies and elect the one person who can truly bring us together, Hillary Clinton.
I meant to respond to this earlier but Knoxville Puma reported an Obamatron response to his CNN blog entry, something to the effect:
“Your candidate lost. Get over it!”
That’s the same thing Republicans said to Dems in the 2000 election. In fact, I heard that so many times at work I wanted to strangle someone. The Republicans had no excuse and neither do the Obama supporters. Both candidates in question were pushed to a win, not through votes but through artful deception.
Something to think about!
Night to all. Tomorrow is another day to fight the good fight.
Thanks EVY! I lit a candle. Glad you are here. I am from HRC’s site too.
I lit my candle. Has anyone heard how sandipuma is doing. She is in my thoughts. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

#211 Suzieforhill, Yes I did see the booing by bots when Hillary Clinton was mentioned by Gov. Jennifer Granholm of MI. Ever so rude. Candy Crowley tonight reported that it is obvious the DP still has a big split. CNN reported in the same segment that 25% of Hillary supporters are saying that they will vote for McCain. That is, by my calculation, at least 4.5 million of us. Then there are the ones who will not vote or write in…etc. So WE ARE MAKING AN IMPACT. Keep up the good work everyone!!!! I still think Noname will implode…just a matter of time.
#249 KarlaforHillary

Do we still have the roll call up? Couldn’t find it. Want to be in touch with a newbie, Bron from Richmond.
Good evening, PUMAs,
I wanted to say a few words about “Lou Dobbs Tonight”. Here’s the LONG version of Lou’s show tonight:
As several have already posted here, Dobbs aired a segment called: “The Dis-Unity Party” about the division among the Democrats. The pre-recorded portion of the segment was narrated by CNN political analyst Candy Crowley. The segment did not mention PUMAs by name, but they did talk about how Hillary’s supporters are not all that happy with Obama, and they said that 25% of Hillary’s voters have said that they are voting for McCain. They didn’t give any figures on how many of us are independents, or how many will just stay home.
The highlight of the segment was the clip of the Al Gore endorsement last night where Michigan Gov. Granholm appeared before 20,000 Obama supporters and was loudly booed when she mentioned Hillary’s name. After the segment was over, Lou Dobbs told Candy Crowley that the booing was “embarrassing” to the Governor and “disrespectful to Sen. Clinton”. That’s right, Lou! Lou also commented on the Obama campaign’s hiring of former Clinton campaign manager Patty Solis Doyle, saying that it was “obviously a slap in the face to Sen. Clinton”. Lou remained respectful to Hillary, just as he has been consistently throughout this election.
Later on, Lou hosted a panel of talk show hosts which consisted of two Republicans and one Obama supporter. Lou again ran that clip of Gov. Granholm getting booed by moronic Obots. He said it was “astonishing” that they would do that. The talk show host who was backing Obama said that the Michigan governor “made a mistake” and that “there was no reason for her to mention Hillary Clinton last night”. The talk show host, who is black, went on to say that “the Clintons had been race-baiting” during the primaries and that is why Hillary was booed. Dobbs jumped in and said, “And are they angry at the DNC, too, for disenfranchising them??” The talk show host said that since Michigan had “broken the rules”, they basically deserved to have their votes thrown out.
So, is this what we have to look forward to? — Hillary will make a joint fundraising appearance with Junior next week, asking her supporters to donate to his campaign. Meanwhile, HIS supporters continue to treat her like trash — booing her, calling her and her family “race-baiters”, and telling the voters in Michigan that their votes don’t deserve to be counted. How can any self-respecting Hillary supporter donate money to this arrogant man and his rude, disrespectful, spiteful followers?
I know Hillary is under pressure to “bring her supporters along”, “rein in” the dissenters, tame the unruly PUMAs — but I hope she gets the message that we will NOT fall in line behind this smug young man who has “brushed her off” his shoulders, and who has allowed his supporters to say that he “bitch slapped” Hillary in the primaries, but who now needs our money.
If anyone is in the vicinity of that fundraiser next week, please send the turncoat donors our regards — Slap a big PUMA paw upside their heads!
And “ROCK ON!” to Lou Dobbs! Put him on the Good Guys list permanently.
Until tomorrow,
NYCgirl

can you post Normita’s link?
230 KarlaforHillary on 06.17.08 at 9:44 pm
the HuffPo link only lists ppl who donated $200 or more. i don’t think they aggregate donations either. so if you made lots of $25 or $50 or even $150 donations, i don’t think you’ll be on there. there was a link from a couple of days ago that you could use to find ppl who’d contributed smaller amounts. you can also use this link
http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/advindsea.shtml
put the zip code or city and state in. check the box for federal contributions. it will pull up all the contribs for candidates and 527s like moveon.org. you’ll probably need to use ctrl+f to search for contribs to clinton.
Hi PAHill08/ Undecided But Leaning! I remember you for sure! Nice to see you!

And when Hillary speaks at an event with Jr. on the 26th- we have to remember that she has to do it.

#258 NYCgirl on 06.17.08 at 10:04 pm
thanks for the report. wow! it’s amazing that the Obama supporter was so disrespectful to HRC. this is how they think they’ll get her to help unify the party and win the HRC supporters over???? and why should we care about them again?
Hi! First post here. I’m Bron from Richmond, VA (Mechanicsville, actually) and I’m here mostly because of my extreme disappointment with the DP, the media, and the basic unfairness of the race (in my opinion). Also because of my experiences with the various left blogs (e.g. Mahablog) where I found myself routinely attacked and often banished for simply making any statement remotely supportive of Hillary Clinton or questioning anything about the Obama campaign. The viciousness of the attacks caught me quite by surprise.
The media’s incredible bias and mendacity also distrubs me. The endless tirades by Keith Olbermann, Jack McCafferty, and other fat heads of that ilk, for example. The utter hatred shown by many in the media was shocking. Where does this hatred come from? It baffles me.
I was fortunate enough to see Hillary speak here at the Capital when Bill was making his first run. His voice was giving out, so he spoke only briefly and then turned it over to Hillary. I went home that night and told my wife “I’m not sure about Bill, but Hillary might make a good President.” And I still think so. (And Bill did a great job, btw, in my opinion.)
Just tonight the local DP called me to see if I would canvas for Obama and Warner (Mark Warner is running for the Senate here.) And I told them, politely, no, I’m sorry, I do not support Sen. Obama. (I do support Warner and told them that as well.) So I’m ‘out of it’ for this year now.
I am an independent, but I gave more to Hillary’s campaign this year than I’ve ever given to a campaign before, both in money and time. I really felt she would get things done that need doing. The leadership of the current DP is about as poor as I have seen in my lifetime (I’m 57).
I like Obama well enough. But I did my research and know he’s not the saint some think. But who in politics is, really? I just don’t think he has the experience needed, I don’t like his Health Care plan, and I very much fear he may lose what should be a sure thing. I also find him and his supporters quite elitist, which rubs me the wrong way. I think the DP have forgotten all about the “common people” – the backbone of this once great nation.
I do believe it’s over for Hillary (sorry!) for now, but I would like to see the truth come out about this campaign and the incredibly poor job the media did, the dirty behind the scenes moves of the DP elite to work against Hillary, and so on. Just as almost no one has a clue what really happened during Bill Clinton’s years as President, I fear no one will know what really happened during this campaign. But maybe PUMA will change that.
I also would like to see Hillary continue in the Senate and have as much power behind her as possible to get the things done I know she wants to accomplish. Who knows, maybe she’ll get another shot?

I wish I could be there, I would slap a “big Puma paaw” upside their head! LOL!
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) is taking a month off from Congress to recuperate after her marathon run for the presidency.
She is not expected to return to the Senate until July 7 or July 8 after the Independence Day recess, according to two Democratic sources.
Clinton’s Democratic colleagues in the Senate are taking a sympathetic attitude toward her extended absence, which comes after a grueling 18-month formal bid for the White House and, according to some calculations, a decade or more of planning and positioning since the days when her husband was president.
“People understand this is a transition for her,” Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) said.
It is a transition from the possibility of the most powerful job in the world to the reality of a junior senatorship among 99 others in a chamber dominated by overweening egos that have already indicated they will make no special provision for her to ascend quickly to a leadership role.
A statement issued Tuesday by Clinton’s Senate spokesman, Philippe Reines, said the senator “took some well-deserved R&R with her family last week, and she’ll be back here before you know it. In the meantime, she continues to work for New York and America, and she’ll be fighting harder than ever for the issues she has throughout her public life.”
Reines would not say where Clinton is vacationing, and most senators said they did not know her location either.
There was no official link to this, but was posted after several bloggers were talking about a joint appearance of her and *61. Thought I would pass it on. Thanks.
Anonymous: If you want to send the letter to Dean, then do it. If you are worried that it might reflect badly on PUMA, just sign your name and leave off PUMA. I don’t think though that this site is censoring. I don’t think we have to hold each others hands and get each others approvals. Look at the blogs, there are hundreds of PUMA’s speaking their minds. No one censors them, I don’t think anyone is censoring you either. There is a difference between acting individually and then a unified collective action. I say we do both.

******MESSAGE FROM FIREBELLE*************
(our cyberspace stranded PUMA!)
Dear Pumas,
I apologize to any who might have been offended by the message Maryland PUMA posted on my behalf earlier (#31). I can’t log in at the PUMA site, and I can’t get WordPress to respond to my repeated requests for assistance. I’ve been a stranded Puma, so I reached out to Maryland PUMA because we have a common bond as published authors.
I, too, have been amused by sassysenora’s list of things to send the DNC. However, I’m very sensitive to the perceptions of people on the receiving end, including visitors to the web site who want to get a measure of what PUMA is about. Just as we hear Obama’s words through the filter of our dislike and distrust, other people interpret our message favorably or unfavorably based on how it’s presented.
Yes, we need a place to vent, and this site has been wonderful for that. But it’s also a very visible forum, where people make judgments about Pumas just as we make judgments about Obama’s followers.
I’ve followed the PUMA blogs enough to see how effective you’ve all been when rationally presenting the facts to family and friends. Many of you were responsible for convincing me too.
I was against voting for McCain just to send a message to the DNC. As much as I dislike the way the DNC conducted itself, I wasn’t ready to vote for a man whose policies I don’t agree with. I initially felt that if Hillary encouraged us to vote for Obama, I would do so, much as I dislike him. Thankfully, I have since come to my senses.
One reason I came to my senses is that I’ve followed your links to various articles to get a better idea of McCain’s positions. The idea that he could overturn Roe v. Wade, for example, scared me. So I’ve very much appreciated your comments and links that have clarified the issue.
When I finally closed the door on giving Obama any consideration, it was based on two things. One was the Reverend Wright story. I don’t believe that Obama could have been a member of that church for 20 years without embracing Wright’s hateful, poisonous teachings. I’m all too familiar with how people come to embrace the attitudes of those around them when they want to fit in, belong, and be accepted. Plus, when I see what Obama supporters post at various blogs, I’m convinced that Obama himself inspires a lot of hatred. (It’s also part of why I like to see our blogs reflect the greatness Hillary inspires in us.)
But the thing that finally pushed me over the edge was seeing how dismissive Obama is. When he refused to participate in additional debates with Hillary, he was dismissive of Hillary and all Americans who wanted to hear more from the candidates. By refusing to insist that all votes in Florida and Michigan were counted in full, he was dismissive of those voters and voters nationwide. Obama is playing games now to avoid having debates with McCain—again being dismissive of voters nationwide. Even his refusal to accompany McCain to Iraq to get a first-hand look at the situation is dismissive. (And I’m saying that as a voter who was always against the war and would like to see us out of Iraq.)
What this says to me loud and clear is that if Obama becomes President, he will be dismissive of everyone and everything that doesn’t serve his immediate interests. Once that became clear to me, there was no turning back. I might not agree with all of McCain’s positions, but I feel safer with him.
I appreciate all of the ideas everyone has posted about sending letters, emails, etc. to the DNC, superdelegates, and others. I have sent quite a few with your encouragement. I wish I could say that they were all free of the emotional overtones that sometimes turn readers off, but my passion does sometimes get in the way.
Okay, this message is long enough. I just wanted to clarify my earlier comments because they weren’t meant to offend anyone. This is a great group with great aspirations. I want to see our greatness always shine through.

Thank you for your good wishes for my family in Iowa, they are all safe for now, but as a mother and grandma I tend to worry myself sick.
I don’t think there is any way in hell that BO will win in Iowa, that state is all red. If he put the cool aid in the water there it all spilled out the levies!
I am so disappointed in Al Gore! I truly do admire the man as a humanitarian, but his endorsement of BO, well I just cant express how sad that made me feel. I am sad too for our Hillary that the DNC is forcing her to ask her supporters for money. I have never given to a candidate in my life, my daughter and I scraped up ten dollars, five at a time for Hillary, I will never give money to anyone but Hillary. It makes me mad as hell that BO can call Hillary and Bill racist, but now that he needs them he thinks we’ll just forget about it. I will never forget how Hillary was treated, nor will I forgive it.
Patti Solis-Doyle: Obama Mole?
h t t p : / /clintondonedems.com/2008/06/17/patti-solis-doyle-obama-mole/
Ever since the Obama camp announced Patti Solis-Doyle would be joining their team as the Chief of Staff for the yet-to-be-chosen Vice Presidential candidate, I’ve been wondering if she was always a part of their team.
Afterall, Taylor Marsh informs us, and others confirm that Solis-Doyle has a 20 year relationship with David Axelrod, Obama’s puppet master. Further, over at No Quarter, Larry Johnson reveals that Solis-Doyle used to work for Richard Daley and her brother is a Chicago alderman. Clearly, the Solis-Doyle, Axelrod ties run deep.
In addition, Steve Clemons, over at the Washington Note reported back in March:
Patti Solis Doyle allegedly bred a lot of ill will inside the campaign among staffers. Many Clinton aides talked about how she had a wall erected between herself and the rest of the campaign staff in Iowa. Others who had been around for Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign talked about how Patti Solis Doyle had shut down the campaign office for two full days in order to watch the collected DVD set of “Grey’s Anatomy.” I’m not kidding. [emphasis mine]
On top of those clear failures, she also horribly mismanaged the Clinton campaign financially.
One Clinton backer said what everyone was thinking:
“Who can blame Obama for rewarding Patti? He would never be the nominee without her,” one person who has worked for both Clintons and remains close to them said.
The question isn’t whether she helped him, it’s whether she did it knowingly. Had Hillary won Iowa, the outcome would probably be very different today. Patti Solis-Doyle was ultimately the architect of Hillary’s Iowa defeat (Obama and Edward’s tactics excluded).
And this was posted regarding PSD. How I remember that PSD at the end of earlier emails from Hill.

High Five Paws! Great flyer, thanks.
Does anyone know where the article about Obama in PA for a fundraiser and telling Gov. Rendell something like…the money was more important than the people attending the event? He is so d*** arrogant! I doubt that Gore would be VP. I honestly think many are being forced into backing Obama since he is not polling as well as the DNC thought he would. I am sure Hillary is also being forced into joining in a fundraising event for Obama. I am going with my gut feeling that Hillary will be back!!! I would like a link to flyers so I can print some for posting in my town.
Here is the letter I want to send to coward dean tomorrow:
Dear Mr. Dean,
You asked us for donations. Enclosed please find my donation to the DNC. As you see, you don’t always get what you ask for. We asked for all the votes to count. You gave us half. This donation is worth the same amount our votes are worth.
Sincerely,
Robin Purnell,

Antifish #123 — yes we WILL. That’s great that you’ll be at Pride events — remind me what city you’re in? Sorry if I should know that already.
We REALLY want to reach out to the LGBT community. Obviously, many of us Pumas are already IN the LGBT community, but we want to make sure other, on and off the internet, know how much we want them as part of the Puma coalition.
Pride events are a key priority for flyers and outreach.
REQUEST: Any Pumas out there able/willing to make a flyer specific to LGBT concerns and why they should join Puma? Then we can put it on the EVER EXPANDING Action Page for people to download and distribute.
VERY WELL PUT, Firebelle – we are visible to the World now – we are in newspapers, we are on the news – we are even in countries outside of the US – and as you mentioned, however, we do need a place to vent – I would go crazy if I did not have my Pumas here by my side to calm me down when I am thoroughly upset, but some people have gotten turned off by it – I personally assisted in bringing on 26 of the old HRC supporters to this site – of which 9 left – and 4 others that would not come over because of some of the comments that reminded them of the no named ones supporters – we are all passionate with our views or we would not be here – I don’t sit back and just play nice – yet I know the newer viewers are trying to figure out what we are – we are great – we are action – we let the world know what is going on – and we have only been around a couple of weeks to do that – no one could ever match what has been done here with so many valuable voices – I for one will take your advice and watch how I say my words in the future – thank you for bringing that to all our attention.
Feds: Man hoped for assassination
Pittsburgh (AP)-Clearfield county man arrested in a sweep by a terrorism task force in Pennsylvania had weapons, ammunition and bombs, federal authorities said Tuesday.Bradley T. Kahle of Troutville, was one of five people arrested in last weekend`s sweep. He told undercover agents he hoped Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton would be killed if she were elected President, and that he would shoot judicial and law enforcement officials if he became ill, according to an affidavit of probable cause made public Tuesday.Kahle said words to the effect of,that if Hillary Clinton or Obama gets elected, hopefully they will get assassinated,if not they will disarm the country and we will have a civil war, the affidavit stated.Kahle made the statement in April, when he also showed two undercover officers several firearms, including a sniper rifle, two AK-47 assault rifles, and about 5,000 rounds of ammunition, according to the affidavit.
Agents on sunday found 16 homemade bombs during a search of Kahle`s home , about 80 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, authorities said.Kahle was charged Tuesday with unlawfully possessing firearms, namely improvised explosive devices.A detention hearing is scheduled Wednesday in Johnstown.
Other suspects arrested in the task force sweep face allegations they trafficked in blasting cap`s,illegally possessed weapons and transferred exploding golf balls.the charges were detailed in federal grand jury indictments unsealed Tuesday in Pittsburgh, where a federal magistrate will be asked at a hearing Wednesday to keep three of the four suspects in jail until they can stand trial.
Marvin E.Hall,49,of Rimersburg, and his live-in girlfriend,Melissa Huet,34 are charged in a three count indictment.Authorities contend Hall transferred two exploding golf balls to an unnamed person in January, without a firearms license.
Hall`s former neighbor,Morgan A.Jones of Lucinda.is charged with illegally transferring a Romanian AK-47 assault rifle to someone who lives out if state in February,Jones was arrested as he left church over the weekend.Perry E. Landis of DuBois,is charged with illegally transferring blasting caps in September and March.
this happen just before the RFK. Remark and as you will see Hillary was the mane target.so all of Obama`s bots need to get real and Obama needs to quit with the me,me,me all the time.

#230 KarlaforHillary on 06.17.08 at 9:44 pm Hi everyone,
tec 1965 #64–I don’t think the Huffington post link to find doners in our area is very accurate. I plugged in my zipcode and only found one person, and it wasn’t even me, and I donated to Hillary many times.
—————————
I think it likely has to do with the FEC campaign finance rules. The campaign is required to keep track of and report names and other information about any donors who donate greater than $200 at a time. If you only donated smaller amounts at a time, then they would not have your information listed.
#289 4hillinCa

SassySenora, re: “i’d rather focus on the positive and actions we can take than on calling ppl names.”
I quite agree. Name calling just causes a loss in credibility and undercuts what PUMA is trying to do (I think). It was the viciousness of the Obamatons that drove me away from Obama, we don’t want to make the same mistake.
Hey all,
Just checking in before I turn in.
I see a couple of action items that I will do first thing tomorrow. I like the half check idea.

How sad that post about solis made me. I think one fatal mistake most politicians make is ..when they build a wall knowingly or not and become isolated. Hillary strikes me as someone that is susceptible to this. Her main interest as she puts it is in the work not the hoopla..just opposite of Obama no interest in the work and all about charm. I think he is intellectually just as lazy as Bush.
hey Murphy

I think Gore is positioning himself to run for president in 2012. This way he catches Obama’s fans and $’s after Obama looses the election when he runs against Hillary in 2012.

#303 Elaine,
I just had a thought. What if Doyle derailed Hillary’s campaign on purpose? I mean, I don’t know the details, but apparently, she was spending the campaign’s money like a drunken sailor! What if she was part of the whole scheme?
Hi fellow PUMAs.
I am new to the site. Glad to be here. I am glad we will finish what Dean and Donna and the RBC members started a few weeks back. Let us push the button for McCain and let the Democratic party implode. Let the Democratic Party fall in on itself and taste its own blood and dust and die a swift death. Out of the ashes of our once beloved old party we will build a new party. A party that will not stand for and or condone any one american voter being disenfranchised or disrespected.
PUMA! PUMA! PUMA!
Ok fellow Puma Partners, I just snail mailed all my Super Delegates in my state of Michigan again. Took a while I typed all the letters and the envelopes out, stamped every thing and put them in the mailbox. I just hope my extra effort pays off big for Hillary. However, I’m beginning to wonder about the people in my state – everyone I talk to seems to be for Hillary but Obama is able to draw large crowds here, either these people are really blind with the kool aide (I mean after all this guy bamboozle their votes) or Obama is shipping paid voters in (knowing him its probably he paid those people, LOL). If not, then I think we need some Hillary Clinton tonic here – fast.

Cash Cow
Rendell, who plans to campaign on Obama’s behalf and raise money for him, said tonight’s event in Philadelphia is a joint fundraiser for Obama and the cash-strapped Democratic National Committee.
But in a sign of the urgency to raise campaign cash, Rendell said Obama didn’t want to reschedule tonight’s fundraiser, even though the governor warned him that many Philadelphia donors were headed to the New Jersey shore for the weekend. Rendell said Obama told him: “We don’t need the people. We just need the checks.”

goandersen #235… I was Barb P for Hillary over there. Being in the Hill family was a great experience. The PUMA blog actually is better in some ways because out blogs always get posted! I just printed several flyers to put out tomorrow at my office and other public places. Great Job on the flyers fellow PUMAs!!!
#172Maybe we should send Obama fake $5 bills. Put our logo in the middle. I think it would be funny:)
I will send the idea to Maryland Puma for the Daily Growl.

WHAT WE WANT
We PUMA’s, as one group of united voices for the 18 million supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2008 bid for the presidential nomination, hereby make a statement as to WHAT WE WANT.
WE WANT All caucus proceedings for the 2008 primary to be reviewed by an independent agency for fraudulent practices.
WE WANT any states where caucus proceedings are found to be fraudulent to award delegates to the candidate who won by vote i.e. (Texas)
WE WANT an end to the caucus system in any future primary season.
WE WANT All candidates placing a bid for nomination to the Presidency to declare proof of citizenship.
WE WANT an independent investigation agency to review campaign tactics for irregularities of all Presidential candidates.
WE WANT to abolish the superdelegate vote in the democratic primaries.
WE WANT primaries in ALL 50 states and territories.
WE Want a rotating primary schedule for future primaries that does not allow favoritism.
WE WANT a proportionate primary system that accurately reflects the votes of the voters or a winner take all primary.
WE WANT to ensure that blatant sexism and misogyny by the media and others, i.e. DNC members, is eradicated.
WE WANT the media, DNC and other perpetrators of misogyny and sexism to acknowledge and formally make amends for their blatant discrimination in the 2008 primary season.
WE WANT an enforceable plan sponsored by the DNC to ensure that misogyny and sexism as displayed in 2008
primaries is never repeated.
WE WANT an independent agency to review the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee DNC for fraudulently awarding delegates to a candidate who was not on the ballot at their May 31, 2008 meeting.
WE WANT voter suppression, marginalization, manipulation, intimidation and other undemocratic practices by any organization or entity to be independently investigated.
WE WANT All Florida and Michigan primary votes to be counted fully and awarded to the candidates based on the respective percentage of the vote totals.
WE WANT to be represented by our delegates in the 2008 convention in August.
WE WANT Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton as our democratic nominee for President.

did you all get my post on the Herald news paper article
my comp. acting up not shore
Hi Everyone,
I promise no more comments from me tonight.
Okay, this is a really dumb question and I apologize if my “hearing” is bad! I have noticed when the wonderful people who are being interviewed by the press don’t come right out and say ” I will not vote for BO and thousands of others appear to feel this way.” You are being misled by NONAME candidate, I will not vote for him. Even if he would ask Senator Clinton to be the VP running mate, I will siill not vote for him. Period. And then say thousands of others feel this way. It seems that some time during the interview, when the question is put to them a few times that they finally clearly say it. Am I missing the part about being firm and unmistakable during these interviews?
Then they can support the reasons that they and others think/feel this way.
Thanks for your help.

WOW! Thank you all very much for your input and support.
I have to confess–I screwed up a little bit. When I copied the letter, I accidentally didn’t copy the whole thing and left off this part.
“You treated a lot of us as ½ a person. This election is the most scandalous and messy election I have ever seen. You, and other leaders of the party destroyed the definition of the word Democracy, and that’s why I am asking you to please resign in order to REALLY unify the party and country. Each of us controls our own destiny and actions and we will not accept the fact that you are MAKING us vote for the candidate who YOU think is the best. Your resignation will bring ALL of the people in this country together.”
This is how the original letter looked like:
Dear Gov. Dean,
I am an immigrant from the former USSR, and I have been here for 14 years. I am a
life-long Democrat.
You treated a lot of us as ½ a person. Your resignation will bring ALL of the people in this country together.
If you could PLEASE let me know if it sounds like I am very angry I would greatly appreciate it. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSES.

Maryland, you asked for it, so how can I refuse? One sneaky troll, coming right up.
This one thinks it’s clever.
#333 – Thanks for clarifying. I see where pumapride is coming from. Some days I read stuff here and on some of the other sites and it reminds me (sadly) of the hate that was directed at Bill Clinton. It was a blind, angry hate. Everynow and then I get a peek of that right here here from those who are hell bent on finding ugliness.
Speaking of AC360. Did anyone catch Campbell Brown last night? She covered for him. I boycott CNN, but heard part of the transcript on Hannity’s Radio Show this afternoon. She said….and this is not the actual quote…”if Al Gore has made a speech regarding the endorsement of *61, he would have been President in 2000.” What? And then she asked the panel sounding more than drunk on the kool-aide, do you think Barack Obama will have Al Gore as Energy Czar?” (or something to that effect) Someone answered her and then she replied, “I guess I just want it to happen so much.” Anderson probably sent her the questions via his blackberry.

Well, maybe so. But in some private meetings w/labor groups and others he handled himself pretty well by all accounts. Maybe he was just well prepped. Hillary is definitely the champion policy wonk. But Obama does not strike as a light weight. I may not like his views on some things, but they seem well reasoned. Just my opinion and, of course, I’ve never met the man, so who knows.

Wow! Great reasons why we exist. May I use some of your points in discussions and letters to Hillary supporters that I’m contacting about PUMA?
How do you all feel about sending Hillary emails asking her NOT to do this event on June 26th?
I can not image why she would do this? Come on what is the downside of just saying “No”. She might loose her Senate seat? She would be blamed for *69 loosing. Oops…is that the right number. LOL
Ok…call me crazy, but I think Hillary has been a loyal dem and a team player for so long that she can’t think outside of the box to do anything that is remotely against the party dictates in an election.
If we send her email en masse and ask her NOT to do this, then she has something to work with. The whole charade is humiliating to her, to us, and all the principals for which we are now willing to risk our reputations and perhaps financial consequences.
What do you think about asking her not to do this?

I am new to blogging. My only two postings were here. I am learning alot from all of you; but I am still having problems figuring out some acronyms…like *61. Does it have something to do with a biblical reference? I recall seeing a documentary saying that the usual number was not correct.
I tried blogging at the Hillary Clinton site, but couldn’t get posted. I did write to her. I told her I would never vote for Obama and called him a Pissant Upstart. In my head I liked saying BO is a PU. However his is no longer insignificant. Now I refer to him as a Diabolic Upstart. If this is inappropriate language, I apologize. I am letting my anger show with such harsh terms. I will try to refrain from such usage in future blogs.

i think its going to be very interesting to listen to Hillary that night. She’s intelligent and knows how to word things to ensure her message is clear to those who are truly listening. I am anxious to hear that message. She’ll come out shining and I hope she uses OB to get her debt paid off, then sends him and his clowns packing.
I am looking forward to hearing her message. Perhaps she agreed to this just so she can get that message out to us. Quite a sacrifice!
So for everyone worried, upset or ticked about this, hold tight, I feel we will all feel better after we hear her. She knows each of us will be watching closely. She also knows the Obamabots are not the sharpest knives in the drawar. So why not use his dime to contact us.
Keep smiling, its not even close to over

Please Murphy – let us have a little meow “play time” with a troll – we won’t kill it – just a little fun with it.
Sassy – they all had their own reasons for leaving – two said that no one ever paid any attention to their posts or questions, one thought we fought a lot with each other – another three thought that some of the articles that were being circulated were untruths leading us all off on wild goose chases – have to admit I over reacted to one of those myself – and it was fabricated -
those type of things – almost all thought that we have so many wonderful things to say about Hillary and action plans that should have been the approach – who knows – you can not please everyone – but I am glad that Firebelle brought it up so that I will pay attention in the future to what I have said –
Thanks for asking Sassy – that just checkmated one of the persons comments – someone did respond to them.

I don’t want mine going to BO or the DNC either. And I want vote for a vice presedancy either if thats what its all about
nightsky,
We should add to out “Want” list, mortgage loans with 4.5% interest!
that was supose to say won’t
Paying back the media:
I written a few media orgs via their web sites or blogs explaining why I would no longer be a viewer. Example, MSNBC is a total loss as far as I’m concerned. CNN was only marginally better. The 3 networks sucked (I saved one recording of ABC nightly news where they did a piece on each the night before a primary – a very hardnosed piece on Hillary where they questioned everything followed by a light hearted piece where they were laughing and talking walking along with Obama — a much more positive tone. It was very blatant in its bias.
Just wondering if there is any way to let them know how po’d a lot of us are about the blatant bias in coverage. I’ve sent emails and such, but just don’t think that has much effect. I no longer tune MSNBC at all and very little CNN, just wish there was a more effective way to let them know their behavior has a price.
And that Jack McCafferty – don’t even get me started…
shewolf,
I don’t know what happened to it, but it was fun!
More regarding Stephanie Cutter, John Kerry’s former communications chief—
In coming weeks, Mrs. Obama will unveil a new speech, emphasizing her modest background and family ties. She will visit the spouses of military personnel and talk of the country’s patriotic duty to provide these families with care and services. And Stephanie Cutter, who was Senator John Kerry’s communications director during his 2004 presidential bid, is being hired as her chief of staff, to oversee a rapid-response operation to deflect attacks on Mrs. Obama.
Senator Claire McCaskill, Democrat of Missouri, a close ally of the Obama campaign, says Mrs. Obama must stop sounding like a lawyer trying to win an argument. The trick, she said, is “being friendly and outgoing but not pushing so hard to persuade people that Barack is the right one.”
“All she has to do is be likeable,” Mrs. McCaskill said
And all she had to do is be likeable? JeeZ!!!

“Wow! Great reasons why we exist. May I use some of your points in discussions and letters to Hillary supporters that I’m contacting about PUMA?”
Sure and I think Marylandpuma is going to enhance it to put on the Action page. It is a reminder to me that amidst all the negativity…and I DO understand that aspect …I need some constant reminder of my/our purpose for protesting.
I received a email from Al Gore today subject: my endorsement and asking for my support for Nobama and why Al is supporting Bo (ie) Bo is great Bo is good etc……….So I sent Al the following email:
Mr. Gore although I have been a strong democrat for 46 years unless something happens to change the way this election is headed I will support and vote for Senator McCain in November. My family and myself are so disappointed in the Democratic party and the whole DNC.this is a travesty what the DNC and the media has done to Senator Cllinton. I am sorry you have chosen to support Obama you could not have made a worse decision. Hopefully something will change your mind ,I admire what you have done for us and our country. We truly believe(to quote a chinese proverb) Obama will be the ant that well may destroy the dam(ie) the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Please do some more research and rethink your decision to support Obama because he IS NOT prepared in any way to lead our Great Country.
and I signed it as follows:

Bron,
I heard there is a coordinated boycott of media sponsors happening sometime near the end of this month. I’ll try to find some information.
#408 alohapuma, I seriously doubt that an email campaign to encourage Hillary not to appear with BO next week will work. What she is doing is the Democratic version of what McCain has had to do since the Republican Party sh*t all over him in 2000. Politically, she is safer to remain within the Democratic Party and to remain on good terms there. We have to do two things: 1) make the Democratic Party’s supposed leader never forget how badly they treated her and do more in the future to treat her better, and 2) accept that Hillary is doing what she has to do and, regardless of whatever she has to say publicly, stay strong against any unprincipled actions of party leaders so that she can rise and restore the party to its principles!

Hi Ya’ll…
I have been “missing” all day due to many family projects, so I just tried to catch up on the comments by everyone here today. Couple of questions:
Is the Larry Sincair conference going to be aired on tv tomorrow? (so happy it is going to go forward, what do you all think about this…)
I saw that the fun and looney tunes of last night’s comraderie conversations may have gone overboard acording to some. (it is understandable not to carry thru with all the goofey stuff, but…is the “post turtle” project still on board for creative invention? I’ll take my artist’s pen and markers out and give it a whirl, if your votes want to see it take shape.

Hiya fellow Marylander!
I want everyone to ponder on what hillary’s ‘job’ is now. I’m sick of them saying it’s her job to swing her voters to him. Be a mom – yes. Be a wife – yes. Be a senator – yes. Be an advocate for the middle class – yes. Healthcare advocate – yes.

Do we have a list of sponsors that were on these networks when Hillary was being torned to shreds? If not, I have the original list that someone put on the threads a week or so ago. I’ll scan it and post.

I think we should not care at all what Hillary does or said about Obama, remember she has a metaphorical gun to her head and will not be taken away till the end of the election.

Nope, see 408
Obama was not my first or my second choice in the primary (neither was Clinton), but he is the party nominee, and he will represent my core beliefs far, far, far better than the extreme right wing Bush-3 agenda of John McCain.
Name an issue. Check your position. Check John McCain’s. Check Obama’s. It is just that simple.
It saddens deeply me to read this blog. I know it hurts when your candidate loses. I remember well the deep pain of election night 2004.
Remember the comments we loyalists made to each other the next day – “Somehow, the Democrats always manage to find a way to lose.” We blamed fear tactics. We blamed Swift Boat Veterans. We blamed Karl Rove. We blamed evangelical Christians. We blamed Ohio voting irregularities.
I am simply stunned that four years later some of us would be willing, downright enthusiastic, to line up to become this year’s torpedo.
This is our country we are talking about. Policies matter.
Please, please take a deep breath, take a break from politics for a week or two, and then take a second look.
Don’t vote out of anger, and don’t vote out of spite. This election, any election, is just too important for that.

Did anyone else get this? It seems NOW is starting a campaign against the misogynistic media. They are asking for contributions.
“Last week CBS news anchor Katie Couric said, “Senator Clinton has received some of the most unfair, hostile coverage I’ve ever seen,” and ignited a firestorm among her colleagues in the media, who rushed to attack both the messenger and her message.
MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann went so far as to name Couric as The Worst Person in the World last Thursday for “her promulgation of the nonsense that Senator Clinton was a victim of pronounced sexism.”

You and I, and all of us who have been inspired by the historic presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, have been sick at heart at the unrelenting sexist smearing by the media, which has ranged from offensive to downright vile.
But the misogynists have now taken it further, and have made it clear that any woman, even from among their own ranks, who speaks out against the media’s sexism toward Hillary is herself fair game for their vicious attacks.
With your help, NOW will stand up against the sexist bullies with an expanded Campaign for Feminist Media. We are ramping up our on-going campaign that, for more than a decade, has been confronting both the media and the advertising industry over demeaning and degrading images and portrayals of women.
Media Hall of ShameYour generous contribution will allow us to expand our media activism as we inaugurate the “Media Hall of Shame, Primary Edition” which documents the worst of the sexist media aimed at Senator Clinton during primary season, and gives activists an opportunity to Talk Back to the media.
As our campaign expands, we will continue to track the media through the General Election, and beyond — encouraging individuals to take ongoing media action as part of NOW’s Talkback Team.
We owe it to Hillary Clinton, who showed nothing but courage and dignity under fire, not to let the media treat another woman in this way ever again.
We owe it to all the women who have been inspired by Hillary to run for office themselves not to let them be subjected to the misogyny of the media.
Most of all, we owe it to ourselves, our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, not to allow a sexist media to ever discourage any woman from reaching for her dreams.

OK I know it is better to be silent and thought to be a fool then to speak and remove all doubt but I have to ask , On this PUMA site what is a troll? I want to play to.
I just joined today. I must say the only way I would ever support the Democratic Party this campaign season would be if Hillary was the “Presidential” nominee and Obama was no where to be seen.
#464 enchanted,
I agree about McCaskill, but she was talking about Michelle Obama being made over. You know, like changing her from Bride of Chuckie to Barbie. Ain’t gonna happen, folks, she’s way too ornery to be able and maintain the facade for long!
Okay its been fun guys. But got to get off to bed. Would love the list of sponsors to avoid. We have a lot of power and should use it wisely. Goodnight all. Dream of Hillary taking the Oath of Office.

A troll is our daily vitamin. Keeps us Pumas strong and alert. Ummmm yummy!
(My husband and daughter are watching the Celtics pound the Lakers, we lived a long time in Boston…so they are happy campers. Sorry to get off message, but this is a big thing for Boston fans, their triple crown of sports: for this last year.)
I got out a few more snail mail letters today, to media commentators; is there a list somewhere on puma site that gives addresses of Hillary supporters (delegates or political people that I can use?) I’ve done emails but want to change it up and add flair with handwritten and artistically embellished letters.
Nite, nightsky, I’ve had that dream so many times… That’s why I never give up…I still believe it’s going to happen.
pookie, a troll is an obama person who shows up on these sites trying to cause trouble

Clinton, Obama to make joint appearance next week
Posted: 07:08 PM ET
http://www.politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/06/17/clinton-obama-to-make-first-joint-appearance-since-primary-season/
From CNN Correspondent Jessica Yellin
Clinton and Obama are set to make their first post-primary season appearance next week.
(CNN) — Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will make a joint public appearance next week for the first time since she ended her White House bid.
Clinton’s national finance director, Jonathan Mantz, sent top donors an invitation Tuesday for a June 26 meeting in Washington, D.C. featuring both former rivals. Mantz also asked Clinton donors to show unity by giving Obama $2,300, the maximum donation allowable under federal campaign finance laws.
He added that Clinton “will do everything she can to unify the party and to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States.”

#444 Knoxville Puma
You seem to know what you are talking about. I’m sure Hillary has to do certain things right now, and we all know she’s no dummy.
I feel in my bones it is critical to make as much Puma noise between now and then to provide her with as much “cover” as possible…if that makes sense.
Can we protest in conjunction with this event or is it better to lay low and let it roll off?
Incredible letters and videos. WOW. I’m fired up…no scratch that…I’m inspired…no scratch that too. Truth is my Irish is up…so look out!
I’ve already deprogramed a handful of people in my world. It all counts!
Aloha,
I feel quite comfortable in letting Hillary make her own decisions and speak for herself. She has spent her life in politics and knows what she’s doing or has to do to move forward.
PUMA’s path is quite clear, and it started with Hillary but did NOT and does NOT end there. The Democratic leaders have made a mockery of democracy.
Since when do people count for 1/2? Not since slaves were considered 3/5 of a person. And no one finds that objectionable?
Two states were punished for moving up their primaries, but three weren’t?
BO was awarded delegates that weren’t even his – uncommitted is a legal category in elections. So why did he get Edwards’ and the other candidates’ votes plus 4 of Hillary’s?
Why was the FL/MI vote halved for the primaries but will be fully restored for the Convention?
Why is Howard Dean attempting to pull the unprecedented act of pulling Hillary off the ballot on the convention floor?
Why are delegates losing their position because they remain faithful to their belief that Hillary is the best candidate?
And what the heck is up with these ‘training camps’ – 6 WEEKS – for ‘fellows’?
And what about this WAR ROOM that BO felt was necessary?
What about that really disturbing quote of ‘we’ll bring guns’? Just what a bunch of young impressionable youths need to hear. Hope they don’t have an axe to grind, cause it’s on HIS head.
These are just a few of the reasons PUMA exists. And as you can tell, it isn’t about Hillary. It’s not really about OB. It’s about the disturbing things happening within the Democratic party since BO was thrust into the PRESUMPTOUS position of nominee. (and that’s debatable!)

“Last week CBS news anchor Katie Couric said, “Senator Clinton has received some of the most unfair, hostile coverage I’ve ever seen,” and ignited a firestorm among her colleagues in the media, who rushed to attack both the messenger and her message.”
///
Oh, man, I missed this! Is the video online anywhere? Does this mean I can start watching CBS again?
MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann is a complete idiot. His diatribe over the RFK assassination comment was the heights of idiocy even for him. I can’t watch him or Mathews or anything MSNBC anymore. Only the guy with the ‘verdict’ show ever gave HRC an even break.
And, oddly enough, sometimes Pat Buchanan on David Gregory’s “Race for the White House” show. Sadly, Rachel Madow, whom I like, took Obama’s side usually.
#264 Darren. I had been keeping him in the dungeon so when I released him he ended up trying to hide up in the thread.

GRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLL.
Got email from Obama today. When Dean contacted me after Hillary suspended her campaign, he called me Joann (I am JoAnn) and I lambasted him, telling him he had a lot of “audacity” to use such a familiar greeting and I gave him no permission to do so. Oh, I was mad.
Well, In today’s snail mail, Obama started the letter by calling me MS K…….., using my last name. But then (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in the body of the letter, he refered to me as Jo…as in
Jo, that’s what change is.
Jo, I didn’t get into this race….
and best of all
Jo, we really can’t do this without your help. That’s why I hope you will rush a generous contribution–of $25, $50, $100 or even more if you can-
Well, this JO will be sending a not so nice ‘wordy’ contribution. And, the postage is prepaid, so I waste no stamps.

Points well taken. I can hear this and think it would be good to focus on THESE talking points with the media and the *61 bots and (perhaps for now) de-emphasize Hillary, or at least not focus solely on Hillary, but the larger issues facing the party.
Thanks.

Hi Guys and Gals,
Sorry I haven’t been on much. I’ve been overwhelmed with work. I have been checking in from time to time -usually before bed. It’s impossible to catch up with all of the posts -though, I did see where Murphy was going to release a troll. I haven’t seen one yet? I was looking forward to the show before bed:)
ANYWAY, I really just want to say everyone has done fabulous work! Thank you! Don’t give up! I just heard on the bad news channel that up to 1/4 of Hillary supporters will not back *61. Maryland,
Got it. I still think we are best served by focusing on the party than on Hillary with the media right now.
They could make us out to be cult-followers too. Stranger things have happened.
Point being: My point anyway: Focus on party issues with the media and on forums and chatrooms because those issues are more meaningful to a larger audience.
GREAT COMMENTS, Maryland #490!!!
It is true, it goes way beyond our frustration with the unfair handling and suffocation of Hillary’s campaign by the DNC. It is the total take-over of the party by BO’s camp of swindlers, and the unbelievable rejection of the party’s base voters in that process. How can this be allowed, we must keep working to find a fingerhold to climb and conquer this immense wall that is blocking true voices of democracy!! I need to vent, I still feel very raw about this unbelievable march of deceit that continues, how can this be happening?

goandersen,
You ate some too? I’m confused. And hungry!
At last, I finally made it, thanks to Maryland PUMA. It seems that WordPress wouldn’t process my registration until I set up a gmail account. Plus I had to change my login name. Oh well. Small sacrifice.
Now that I can speak for myself, I want to again say how much I appreciate the links and information that everyone provides. I want to be informed enough about the issues that I can speak intelligently about the candidates with my friends. I don’t necessarily take the time to read all of their policy statements, many of which are largely rhetoric anyhow. Nor am I knowledgeable enough about all of the issues to filter through the spin. So it helps to gather input from my fellow Pumas.
I especially like hearing from people who are directly affected by the issues in ways that I’m not. I have my own little take on the world based on my own experiences. But I’ve never served in the military. I’ve never had kids. I’ve never had to make a choice about abortion. I’ve never seen my job go overseas. I’ve never lost my home to fire, floods, hurricanes, etc. … though I’ve seen a lot of tragedy in 27 years as a volunteer firefighter.
So one of the things I value most about this blog is hearing from people whose perspectives are different from mine. Often it reinforces what I already believe. Sometimes it opens my eyes to things I never considered before.
I could say much more about how much I value this site, but I’ll never get any real work done tonight. Blogging for Hillary is addicting, but it sure doesn’t pay the bills for a self-employed person.
The more I see him the more I dislike him and his mo

Do we have to sign up to blog there? I’ve been over there lurking before, but never tried to post. I don’t want them sending me emails.

Thanks about giving me the site to go to, in helping Larry Sinclair’s story be made loud and clear. I will donate tonight.
I also agree with above comments on a viseral dislike for Michelle O…she appears to hold a very angry undertone, while she smiles and acts cool and poised. I read a while back (but don’t know where) she was very close to the pious Reverend Wright; does anybody know an article or site that talks about her connection with him??
Some interesting revelations regarding our “greenest” candidate and latest endorser of *61–
In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research…
In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month…
After the Tennessee Center for Policy Research exposed Gore’s massive home energy use [in February 2007], the former Vice President scurried to make his home more energy-efficient. Despite adding solar panels, installing a geothermal system, replacing existing light bulbs with more efficient models, and overhauling the home’s windows and duct work, Gore now consumes more electricity than before the “green” overhaul.
Since taking steps to make his home more environmentally-friendly last June, Gore devours an average of 17,768 kWh per month – 1,638 kWh more energy per month than before the renovations – at a cost of $16,533. By comparison, the average American household consumes 11,040 kWh in an entire year, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Ah, I missed that. But never was too impressed with CBS’s coverage either.
Did anyone besides me see the great segment on “Reliable Sources” where the wonderful Joan Walsh (Salon Editor in Chief) called it like it was and said the media in Iowa “worshipped Obama” and “hated Hillary” — and she stressed that ‘hate’ was not too strong a word to use. It was great (and all too rare).
Where does this media hatred come from? It truly baffles me. And what’s wrong with Bill calling them on it? Every time he does they make it sound like he’s a raving lunatic, when really he’s just angry as anyone would be. It baffled me how he was treated as well.
They were saying on CNN tonight ( my husband had it on ) that mo has a personal trainer and she is in top form. They could have been talking about the personal trainer……….LOL Personally I think she needs to stand up straight…………….OH HERE I GO BEING ULGY

they need $12M more to hold the convention.
you’d think with all the new affluent voters they’re supposedly attracting, $12M wouldn’t be hard to raise. Each person can give $70,000 a year so why can’t they get 200 or so ppl to kick in? i don’t know ppl who could give $70,000 each but i’m sure there are many rich families who could give around $200K or so each.

The DNC sued John McCain for “breaking a campaign promise” regarding accepting public financing for his campaign. It seems that the DNC is trying to tie John McCain’s hands while Obama raises and spends an unlimited amount of money. Talk about your dirty, underhanded tactics.
Anyhow, here’s the email I received today …
I wrote to you in late February asking that you sign on in support of a complaint we made to the Federal Election Commission regarding John McCain.
The complaint was fairly simple. John McCain decided to break a promise he made to the American people — he said that he would accept federal matching funds for his primary campaign, but then backed out of the pledge after he started receiving staggering amounts of lobbyist and special interest money. We asked the FEC to enforce the agreement he had made.
When they didn’t act on our complaint — one that thousands of Americans signed on to support — we sued them. Recently, a federal judge said that we had to give the FEC at least 120 days to act.
Their time runs out in one week, on June 24.
You can put pressure on John McCain to honor his agreement with the FEC by signing your support — we need 100,000 Americans to stand up and demand that he keep the promise that he made the American people. If we’re ever going to have truly clean campaigns, it’s going to take all of us fighting for them.

I know that lawsuits, FEC rulings, and the intricacies of campaign finance law can be a little dry.
But consider this: while both Senator Obama’s campaign and the DNC have unilaterally rejected lobbyist and special interest money, John McCain’s campaign is blatantly breaking campaign finance law to raise as much of it as they can.
John McCain — the self-branded “maverick reformer” — is the exactly the same kind of Republican we’ve seen for decades. He breaks the rules to fit his own interests, and he does it at the expense of the American people and the integrity of the electoral process.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he signed the pledge with the FEC, because that used the money he was promised in return as collateral on a loan.
Be one of the 100,000 people to send a message to John McCain — the law matters, and we’re not going to let McCain and his lobbyist supporters ignore it.

Woman Sues Victoria’s Secret, Claims Injury From Defective Thong
Tuesday , June 17, 2008
A Los Angeles woman claims she was injured by her Victoria’s Secret thong, prompting her to sue the underwear manufacturer.
The plaintiff in the case, Macrida Patterson, 52, attributed the May 2007 injury to a Victoria’s Secret “low-rise v-string,” according to a court document posted on The Smoking Gun.
Patterson’s lawyer told The Smoking Gun that a “design problem” caused a decorative metallic piece on the underwear to fly up and hit Patterson in the eye while she was putting the underwear on.
Patterson’s product liability lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last week.
The Smoking Gun reported that, prior to the lawsuit, officials from Victoria’s Secret had asked to see the offending underwear but were refused by Patterson’s lawyer.

THANKS for all the MO comments and where to go to get the fix.
I really had a hard time with M and B’s cozy little shared “fist bump” at their minnesota coronation on the last night of primaries. It seemed so rude and smug to orchestrate that huge coronation, just to wipe out the last votes for Hillary in SD. There is no humble bone in either of those two, how can they even imagine that this party will unite, with that kind of showmanship. Yes, MO will be a very scarey person in the White House, hopefully that nightmare will never materialize.

#554 Stop please. Here is a sample of the talk surrounding Hillary in 1990. Can we just not do the same thing to MO? (Nythttp://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9E0CE6DA1F3DF93BA25756C0A964958260) Hillary Clinton is exceedingly polarizing,” said Roger Stone, a Republican consultant. “It’s not that she’s an accomplished modern woman. It’s just that she’s grating, abrasive and boastful. There’s a certain familiar order of things, and the notion of a coequal couple in the White House is a little offensive to men and women.”
She has become a paradigm of the over-structured super-mom. A recent New Yorker cartoon showed a woman asking a salesclerk for a jacket and saying, “Nothing too Hillary.” Unprecedented Partnership
Even among women who are Mrs. Clinton’s natural constituents, there is criticism about what they call “the Hillary situation.” Some leading Democratic women privately worry that, while Mrs. Bush may be the last of the First Ladies who have never worked outside the home, the public is still skittish about the idea of a First Lady who is more involved in substance than ceremony.
I just caught up with all, but it makes me sick to my stomach thinking that Hillary, who’s been pounded on by all the ones we know about, HAS to do fundraising for him and do her best to hand over her 18 million and unite the party!
Has the world gone crazy?
I can’t believe it, I can’t get over it.
Please Hillary, what message does this give to women everywhere?

Where did the DNC and Obama money go? To relocate the DNC in Obama’Rezko/Wright/Ayers’ back yard in Chicago. Too bad they will have to move it back when Hillary gets the nomination – she’s going to move it to Florida!
I received a Verizon email and replied that they must stop the ads on channels and shows that are sexist and misogynistic.
And you bet your a$$ [as my new boyfriend, Harold Ickes said] Michelle Obama introduced Barack to the Rev. Wright; you know who wears the pants in that household don’t you? It won’t be Barack who is President, it will be Michelle Obama. NoBama takes on new meaning – NO BARACK AND NO MICHELLE OBAMA!

they both need duct tape.
I can’t wait to see what HRC does next. I just can’t wait.
I am not really sure why Hillary has to support the party. Let’s be honest with each other. The Democratic Party will never give her the Presidential nomination even if Obama is defeated. With the left wing controlling the party now, they will have someone else to run the next election. They don’t care what the Hillary supporters think. Isn’t that evident by now. Hillary doesn’t need the money on an individual basis. She will do fine in her life without the Democratic Party. I wish she would be the basis for founding at party that truly represented the middle of the road Democrats. I want a party that keeps its nose out of our personal lives but also realizes that government can’t do everything for all people. The government should help when there is a real need but shouldn’t be the support group for any ethic or idealogical group.

Maryland PUMA,
If I had a clue about campaign financing, I might follow up (post #591). I did, however, send Howard Dean a reply email chastising him of all people for questioning the legality of anything John McCain is doing.
Besides, if I recall correctly, Obama considered accepting public financing in the beginning, when he was still unknown and feared he couldn’t raise money on his own. He quickly backpedalled on that idea when it no longer served his interests.
Heaven forbid I should admit to having a common interest with Obama, but I love basketball. I even officiated basketball for several years. One thing I remember clearly from my officiating days is the concept of “Advantage-Disadvantage.” Not every contact warrants calling a foul. But when one player gains an advantage and puts another at a disadvantage, those are the fouls that must be called.
I don’t know the rules of politics as well as I knew the rules of basketball. But I can recognize a foul when I see one. And I’ve seen lots of them from the Obama campaign and the DNC. I just pray that the “refs” wake up and that Obama fouls out before we lose the game.
#634 decstl on 06.18.08 at 1:02 am
That’s why we have to get rid of Dean, Pelosi, etc.
just herd Hillary keepit all of her delegates and will keep them to the Convention
I think that Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama should have at least 1 debate. If that would happen, I think it would put to rest all of these “labels” of what a First Lady whatever is suppose to do. Cindy, if you are listening…make the challenge. Her personal trainer might faint.
Queen 81….WOW, way to go-change it up a bit with a lil Victoria underwear humor. That’s a hysterically strong thong story!!

#622 brent222 on 06.18.08 at 12:57 am
he said he’d accept public financing. if he doesn’t, he’s a liar. however, the problem with what McCain did was that he actually used public money then backed out of his promise. if he hadn’t used the public financing money first, he could have backed and and then he’d just be a liar, like BO probably will be. but since he used public financing first, i don’t think he can reject it in that same cycle (e.g., the primaries). he still could reject it for the general (though i think he made the same pledge Obama did so he’d be a liar but it wouldn’t violate the law).
Ladies & Gents of PUMA,
I just registered tonight. But, I’ve been reading the comments posted here for about 2 weeks now. I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. This is going to be a little long, so please bear with me. I’m a conservative and a ‘gasp’ registered republican from CA. I know, I know. Please don’t hate me. I, like many other conservatives, am going to hold my nose and vote for McCain. Why? Because he’s better than the alternative.
I never considered voting for Hillary and, to be truthful, I wasn’t too fond of the Clintons in the first place. However, I agree that Hillary was a victim of sexism, racism, and blatant media bias this entire primary season. If any of the stuff about BO (his racist and terrorist friends, his church, his America hating wife) had came out about Hillary or McCain, their political career would’ve been done! As the primaries dragged on, I developed a grudging respect for Hillary. I admired her tenacity for staying in the race when everybody was telling her to get out. I was appalled by how she was treated by the “objective” media. Chris Matthews said, the only reason Hillary was in the Senate was because her husband was a philanderer and women felt sorry for her. Tucker Carlson said, he had to cross his legs everytime she was mentioned. Keith Olbermann has said too many vile things to quote on here. All of them from MSNBC. An anchor on CNN actually called her a bitch on live TV. Funny but, Fox News was actually the fairest to Hillary. My opinion on Hillary has changed for the better. I think people got to see the real Hillary.
Lastly, for those of you still reluctant to vote for McCain or considering a third party canditate or not voting at all. Consider this, to vote for a third party is to throw your vote away. Staying at home won’t accomplish anything it’ll just mean BO’s one step closer to the WH. There’s a famous saying that I think Howard Dean and the DNC should remember this fall.
“Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman or Hillary Supporter Scorned”

BO said he’d accept public financing. if he doesn’t, he’s a liar. however, the problem with what McCain did was that he actually used public money in the primaries then backed out of his promise and said he didn’t have to accept the limits imposed for candidates who accept public financing.
if McCain hadn’t used the public financing money in the primary cycle first, he could have backed and and then he’d just be a liar, like BO probably will be. but since he used public financing first, i don’t think he can reject it in that same cycle (e.g., the primaries). he still could reject it for the general (though i think he made the same pledge Obama did so he’d be a liar but it wouldn’t violate the law).

Hillary was attacked for no other reason than she was a strong professional woman who refused to be defined through her husband.
She never gave anyone pause to question her patriotism, nor did she ever say vile things about other candidates’ spouses.
Comparing Hillary and Michelle is like comparing Hillary and Cruella de Ville!

CINDY VS MICHELLE DEBATE! Great idea, maybe our group could make this happen. The only thing I would worry about is that Michelle is a streetfighter; and Cindy seems to be well bred – may not be a fair fight- unless Michelle knocks John or their kids. Yeah, the moderator should ask about the Iraq war and watch gleefully when Cindy dropkicks Michelle because HER son is in Iraq fighting and what have any of the Obama’s done for this country?

The Republicans were BRUTAL to Hillary. As I’ve gone through the newspapers, I’ve come to realize that there is no way I can, in good conscience support a party that ripped her to shreds in 1992. Much like some of us are doing to MO now. This just makes me crazy. This from 1992 people. “Republicans now regard the outspoken wife of the Arkansas Governor as one more vulnerability in an already vulnerable Clinton campaign. Even though it is now clear that Nancy Reagan helped run the country, with astrological charts and her own political agenda, and even though it is apparent that Barbara Bush is a significant voice on politics, the Republicans are busy mining fears as old as Adam and Eve about the dangers of an assertive, ambitious woman speaking into the ear of her man. These critics say that the Clintons may have pushed too hard on the concept of an unprecedented partnership in the White House, and suggest that they should wait until after the election to break precedents.
There was Mr. Clinton’s suggestion, since revoked, that he might give his wife a Cabinet job. And there was Mrs. Clinton’s petulant defense on conflict-of-interest questions about her legal career in Arkansas, when she said she could have “stayed home, baked cookies and had teas.”
One Republican campaign official suggests that it is less her sex than her demeanor, noting that Mrs. Clinton is “a hall monitor” type whose drive and earnestness are offputting: “She doesn’t complement Clinton because she appears to be another liberal policy wonk. It doesn’t seem like a family — more like a merger.”
Mrs. Clinton is far more articulate than the two men on the Republican ticket, but she lacks her husband’s ability to stir emotions with speeches. She can be an amiable companion, but she has a studious turn of mind. Even when chatting with the television reporter about hair and perceptions, she asked, “Has anybody done a survey or study about that?” Walking a Narrow Line
Everywhere Mrs. Clinton went last week the high-powered litigator who brought home more than five times the salary her husband did last year tried to reassure doubters that she is not Lady Macbeth in a black preppy headband.
She told reporters again and again that she did not dominate her husband — “He has a real core of toughness”; — that her husband would not offer her a Cabinet post — “That’s not going to happen, and I wouldn’t take it if it did”; — that she would not sit in on Cabinet meetings — “I never did that in Arkansas and I’m not going to start now,” — and that she would not be a pioneer First Lady making radical changes — “I don’t think so; I hope I’m going to be myself.”
Or howabout this. Come on, we like links, right? How about this one? http://fumento.com/hillary.htmlHillary – The Other Clinton
By Michael Fumento
Investor’s Business Daily, October 14, 1992
Copyright 1992 Investor’s Business Daily
“Hillary Clinton, good or bad, is not the issue in this campaign.”
So said Torie Clarke, press secretary for the Bush-Quayle campaign, after a Republican National Convention that featured more Hillary-bashing than silly elephant hats, followed by a slew of defensive media portrayals that made Hillary Clinton out to be a hapless and undeserving victim.
“Many say they are … baffled by her portrayal as a wild-eyed radical,” stated one defensive article in The New York Times. That lengthy piece quoted nobody but Clinton supporters, save for an excerpt from Patrick Buchanan’s speech at the convention.
But many critics contend that the 44-year-old Hillary, a prominent attorney with a densely packed resume, should be fair game for scrutiny in the presidential campaign.
“Hillary is already
wagging this tail.”
Critics note that, unlike most first ladies, who with few exceptions have been relegated to a background role of encouragement and advice, Hillary Clinton will have broad influence over the national political landscape.
Said Howard Phillips, president of Conservative Caucus in Vienna, VA., “Hillary Clinton is not another Pat Nixon or Bess Truman or Jackie Kennedy or Barbara Bush or even another Rosalynn Carter.”
He compared her to Eleanor Roosevelt, but with a more aggressive style. Eleanor, wife of Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was known for her advocacy of liberal causes.
Bill Clinton himself told a fund-raiser audience earlier this year, “If I get elected president, it will be an unprecedented partnership – far more than Franklin Roosevelt and Eleanor. They were two great people, but on different tracks. If I get elected, we’ll do things together like we always have … buy one, get one free.”

Oooops, I did it but it may be a good thing. I have exchanged emails with the Event Coordinator for LULAC in Florida I went with them to the Count Our Votes protest rally at the DNC headquarters in April. I think I may have sent emails to everybody on the email that she just sent me; and if I did it went to dozen upon dozen friends of LULAC. She sent me this story about a little boy that I could not read for crying, and when I replied I must have hit reply to all by accident. I fear this because I just got an email confirmation from someone who speaks spanish because it was in both languages- oops. Can you imagine that Dean blew his chances with “Yeeeee Hawwww” (those were the good ole days) Obama and Michelle get away with not only anti-American existence, they do it right in front of the “Pro American” Political system!
#658 – Everything HIllary said was attacked – for no good reason. Her cookies were slammed for criminey sake. It doesn’t matter the issue, she didn’t have a chance. She was attacked mercilessly. And now we’re doing the same thing to another strong-willed, smart, opinionated woman. It doesn’t matter if it’s patriotism or cookies. The attacks are unnecessary. The man is running for president, why is the wife such an easy target?
I’ve been a bit wrapped up in end of the school year activities for my child so this might be old news…
But I decided to venture out into unfriendly territory for a change tonight and the first (and last!) thing I read on Slate made me so mad I had to send an immediate response and it would be GREAT if other PUMAs would too…
It’s the article “The Great Snipe Hunt” by John Dickerson of Slate from 6/13/08 and among other nonsense it includes this…
“Can the leaders of anti-Obama factions show that they represent real groups… or is this a sleight of hand designed to trick Obama into defending his base so that he doesn’t have time to go after independant voters?”
I emphatically assured Mr. Dickerson in my e-mail that there are many, many of us… that we are real… and that our resolve is real and firm.
If anyone else wants to respond they can reach him at slatepolitics@gmail.com
Also… there’s a GREAT and COGENT analysis of the season so far at thecityedition.com titled “Did Karl Rove Use Barack Obama to Defeat Hillary Clinton?”… if any of the so-called “journalists” from the MSM had even followed one of these points honestly and thoroughly during the primary season it is doubtful that Obama would be even the “presumptive” nominee of the DNC at this point… we’ve all been hearing/reading snippets of this for ages… I don’t see why on earth the main stream mdia or the RNC has not started calling these points into serious question? unless Rove really is influencing this… either by example or actual design… YUKKK either way.
Thanks for the info and link to the candles, I lit a new one and re-lit a bunch that had gone out… what a lovely site and gesture to pass on to the rest of us! And what we are about and why we are the strong ones and will ultimately prevail! Thanks!
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to start another round of letter writing asking for Obama to agree to weekly debates with John McCain?
As many of you have pointed out on the blogs, voters are more easily convinced when they see for themselves that Obama is weak when it comes to actual policies. Of course, Obama knows this himself. He also knows he’s inarticulate without his speech writers and a teleprompter. That’s why he’s avoiding John McCain. I think Obama can do a much better job of embarrassing himself than we can, but only if he’s put on the spot in debates.
We could do this in a positive manner, citing reasons why we want to hear the candidates speak about the issues. We can highlight the issues themselves, such as how the candidates will turn the economy around. We can also highlight conduct; Obama’s avoiding weekly debates with McCain is a signal that he’ll also avoid “reaching across the aisle” if he becomes President.
We can send letters and emails everywhere: Obama’s campaign, the DNC, superdelegates, the media, etc. The more we call for debates, the better.
Am I on the right track?

#672 ShortTermer… “There are no accidents”
Using the basketball analogy….Seems like the BO strategy is: “Offense is the best defense.”
I remember quite a while ago McCain challenged BO for going back on his word about accepting funding for the elections. McCain challenged BO. So now BO is trying to turn the whole story around and make McCain the bad guy. He’s using his old tricks. Hiring a bunch of lawyers to get rid of his competition before the game even starts, just like he did in Chicago during his first state senate campaign. In that election he ruined the political careers of his two opponents – both African Americans, one of whom was a popular long-term incumbent African American woman. So much for being “for” African Americans. He challenged her signatures. Can you believe it?
He can’t win anything fair and square. Runs away from every legitimate battle. If the game isn’t fixed so he’s assured a win, he takes his ball and goes home. I wonder how that’s going to work for him when he’s dealing with other world leaders. I don’t think they’ll be quite so forgiving about all his short-comings as the US press is.

Hi antifish! Good to see you tonight.

i’m trying to catch up but i agree. i saw one comment about MO that made me think of how HRC was attached when WJC was running (and while he was prez). it was something about MO will wear the pants.
i don’t think MO is off limits – esp things she says on the campaign trail – but i don’t like it when ppl say mean things about her that have nothing to do with BO’s politics. a lot of it is just misogynistic. that’s wrong no matter if the target is HRC or MO.

#678 Firebelle,
He won’t debate. He did the same thing to Hillary. People in Oregon had petitions in their newspapers, she publicly berated him for not debating, nothing worked. He’s a chickensh*t!
Well I just think she wants to be the president……….It probably doesn’t matter mo or bo pretty much the same. No experience, no nothing !!!!!!
TALKING ABOUT: MOTHERS WE WILL DISOWN THEM
I want to know what each of you think of the below part of an email exchange with Marc Hudson at “In One Ear and Out the Other.” According to the photo on his blog, he is a white male maybe in his late 20′s. He is so sold on the fake messiah that it seems cultish. This was part of his answer to my assertion that we were going to vote McCain should Hillary not be the nominee [I have posted it before, but I don't think it was here]:
If you and your fellow reactionaries lose this election for the Democrats, understand that this will be more than just a fight between the men and women in this country. Those of us who have never had the benefit of a righteous leader and who are finally feeling the surge of our own political empowerment will disown mothers everywhere who based their decisions not on fact but on emotions. Parents whose same emotional reaction put Bush into office in 2000 and re-elected him in 2004. If this kind of thinking defeats us in 2008, then mothers are not that good of things to have after all.
The only thing I said about mo is that she puts her foot in her mouth and needs duct tape. Is that an attack?
#694 Thank you Sass, that was all I was trying to say. You were much more articulate that I. I just got too emotional remembering how hateful the comments were to our girl. Don’t want to see that ever again.

Post Turtle
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our President.
The old rancher said, ‘Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘post turtle’.’
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was. The old rancher said, ‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.’
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. ‘You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb a– put him up there to begin with.’
LOL!
I’m not bashing mo but when you think of it she says what she feels again ” for the first time in my adult life”
And he just doesn’t wear the flag in his lapel, oath with the bible, respect the pledge…………..and I can go on and on and on.
#676 you’re kidding, right? she was out there big time for Bill.
#678 Firebelle Puma
Yes, I think that would be a great idea! I’d love to see a town hall debate between the two. No prepared scripts, just a couple of guys talking off the cuff. I’d love the audience to be some gun-toting, bible-thumping, bitter people from the backwoods of PA, maybe some “typical white women of “that” generation, a few half-people from FL….I’d like to see BO in the flesh and blood look them all in the face and repeat some of his brillant observations and thoughts on these American voters. I’d like to see him try to give Hillary the finger in front of a mixed audience, instead of a bunch of adoring, fanatic brain-dead supporters.
Yes, yes, yes as far as I’m concerned regarding a letter writing/faxing/e-mailing campaign to the DNC/Obama/MSM regarding weekly/montly more than one debates between McCain and Obama.
It clearly needs to happen for many reasons and if Obama is really that strong a candidate (w or w/o a teleprompter…) he should readily agree… We need to put the pressure on this one…
You’re on the right track as far as I’m concerned.
They have been deeply affiliated with orgs, people promoting anti-white / Pro-African American Agendas… nothing wrong with that… in some other country.
LIKE ALL HAT AND NOT CATTLE; WE NEED BENCHWARMER WINS HEISMAN TROHPY!
One of our group said something that was both funny and apropr at the same time – and that we must get in a youtube video or ad. It was said that Obama was like an athlete who was SELECTED to win the championship trophy even though he sat on the bench the whole game. Can you visualize this? It would be really really funny if it were not so true!

Listen, we have not used misogyny toward MO. The woman is obviously mean. A Fact. And she probably does lead no name around by the nose hairs.

#702 headoverhills on 06.18.08 at 1:31 am
i’ve been reading shakesville to get a list of BO’s misogyny. the ppl there are very good about calling out misogyny – and explaining how it hurts ALL women – even if it’s directed at women they don’t like.
some of the misogyny here bothers me. i don’t like MO but if we’re going to make sexist and misgynistic attacks against her, how can we call out BO, his campaign, or the MSM for THEIR misogyny without looking like huge hypocrites? it undermines our arguments and our credibility. ppl here shouldn’t do it.
Hey nernina, great comment-I’ll go to slate and leave a message too, we are REAL and ready to make noise for history’s sake!
headoverhills…MO put herself out there, she is very headstrong in her plans to leave a message, in her actions years ago, and now. She has stoked the fire and that needs to be analyzed for consideration as to what legacy will she leave if becoming a First Lady.
#713 goandersen on 06.18.08 at 1:36 am
that’s misogynistic whether you see it or not.
#705 wontbackdown
Yeah, they cut and paste their prepared scripts onto McCain blogs all the time.
Today’s points must be the Roe v Wade retort and the “Republicans were mean to Hillary – they’re against women.” ….courting the women voters.
It gets so tiresome…..But I guess it can be a little entertaining.
#708 headoverhills,
She went out on the trail and campaigned for him by herself? I never saw that! I saw the two of them doing interviews. Maybe I missed something?

You are just too funny…………………..and I agree with you 100%
#715 sassysenora on 06.18.08 at 1:38 am
i should have said “sometimes the misogyny here bothers me” instead of “some of the misogyny here bothers me”
sometimes i can ignore it. i guess it always bothers me but sometimes (e.g., if there is only one comment), it’s easier for me to ignore it and focus on other things.
#701 shortTermer
sounds like a dueling banjo talking.
FYI: I was the one that reported on the Virtual Town Hall Meeting that John McCain held with Hillary supporters. One of the things he said was that he had invited Senator Obama and nObama declined the invitation. McCain had suggested they travel together on a plane and have join Town Hall meetings thoughout the campaign. And, if nObama accepted any at all it was only a couple.
I went to sign up for volunteer work with McCain’s campaign for after the August convention [if the nObamas are the selected ones again]; and they do not have a headquarters near me. So, I guess I will have to work the phone banks or be a rapid responder or something.
Clinton or McCain – your choice DNC!
Not well paid, not paid well enough. I subscribe to a “don’t trash women” philosophy and will always defend women from unfair attacks. it may be the kool-aid, probably the v8, whatever it is, i definitely will continue sipping from the fountain that says my women friends are off limits. trash the men. “for the first time in my adult life” isn’t enough to make me trash another woman. There are plenty of times where I’ve thought “for the first time in my life, I’m proud to be a woman because Hillary Rodham Clinton has done that for me.”
#707 suzieforhill on 06.18.08 at 1:33 am
i think it’s fine (and not misogynistic) to criticize things MO has said, esp things she’s said as part of her stumping for BO. but to say things like “she wears the pants” is misogynistic. there’s no other way to interpret that remark.
I don’t see misogyny towards MO either. I see people just commenting on the truth. She does seem to have an awful lot of influence in his thinking and she’s not the one elected; he is. I think wondering about the influence of the spouse of a president is a legitimate issue.
#719 antifish on 06.18.08 at 1:40 am
yes she did. from the time he first ran in AR onward. she was a much better campaigner for Bill than he was for her. IMO, of course.

Stop accusing me of things I have not said. And. Stop lecturing.
#713 I didn’t use the term misogynistic to describe anyone here. Actually, don’t think I’ve ever used the term. What I did say was that Hillary was unfairly criticized and I don’t want to do the same thing to MO (or any other woman).
#726 BrooklynNY on 06.18.08 at 1:44 am
how else can you interpret “she’ll wear the pants”? it’s misogynistic. it ciriticizes both BO and MO bc she has influence over him. it implicitly assumes that there is something wrong with a wife having more influence over her husband than he does over her. it’s based on a paternalistic view of marriage.
#725
Ok…………………I think she is hurting his campaign. Her actions, remarks, the way she presents herself etc. It isn’t worth hard feelings so I won’t mention it again. I guess I am still upset at the way Hillary was bashed/is bashed and it continues to go on each day. But we aren’t here to argue with each other, we need to stay united.
It’s getting too touchy for me tonight folks.

sassysenora, does it not bother you as well that bloggers come to this site and spit out nObama propaganda? Saying that a woman is stronger than a man in a relationship is not mysogynistic! Go look up the freaking word!

They copy and paste from a script….When they write off the cuff things change dramatically. It’s quite funny to see on the McCain blogs…
I don’t know about anyone else, but right now we need to focus on the real problem at hand and that is the nomination and election of a man who could be a great danger to this country. I for one am very fearful of his past associations.

i don’t like trolls no matter where they are. but i’ve spent the last 2 weeks trying to track down all the sexist, misogynistic stuff BO and his campaign staff have said. it bothers me a LOT when ppl are misogynistic be IT HURTS ALL WOMEN, inlcuding my daughter.
i’m not happy here when ppl make misogynistic comments bc (1) it HURTS ALL WOMEN and (2) it undermines our credibility when we criticize BO or the MSM for being sexist and misogynistic.
One problem that we need to find a way to address is
preventing Obamabots from posting using our emails and monikers. They are doing that all over the net.
A brainstorming session is needed; but not public where Obamabots can see what we are doing.
Why are we letting the troll on this website? Any discussion deteriorates into a nut-picking exercise in futility when they enter the discussion. There is no logic to their argument and it’s a waste of time to debate with them. You can’t argue with someone who uses flawed logic and hasn’t got the capacity to reason. It’s a useless waste of time. It may be entertaining for a few moments, but it gets old and boring real fast.
Good nite……………………….take care
I agree …………….better to just sign off then bicker with each other. Sorry if I affended anyone.
Is it Obamabots you’re concerned about? Or just HRC supporters who dare to stand up for what HRC stands up for?
#749 I agree. And my next question was to be – why do we continue feeding the trolls anyway – it only makes them happy when we respond and it makes them wet themselves when we “disagree” with each other. DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS!
well it’s easy enough to see why all the defections!
#747 sassysenora
I understand where you’re coming from and I admire your sensitivity on the issue. But though in the case we’re talking about “wearing the pants in the family,” I don’t think the phrase was used in the usual misogynistic sense, i.e. to disparage a strong woman and ridicule a man who allows himself to be put in the less potent position; I think it was intented to point out that MO has a strong influence on her husband and her views and beliefs are questionable. I know we’re probably going to disagree on this, but I find sometimes people take political correctness too far and see it in every situation. I think context and intention is important when looking at phrases like the one we’re talking about. A lot of the language is so pervasive in our everyday life.
#751 headoverhills
Go away. If you really were a Hillary supporter doing what you say, why are you here? This isn’t a “debate who we’re going to support” site. You’ve come to the wrong place.
#754 BrooklynNY on 06.18.08 at 2:09 am
i think you can question MO’s beliefs without saying that she wears the pants. the only thing using that phrase does is implicitly criticize both BO and MO for MO being strong. that reinforces the patriarchical view of marriage prevalent in the USA. that view is the basis for a great deal of the unfair criticism of HRC while WJC was prez and a great deal of the misogyny that was used against HRC in this primary.
if you want to criticize MO’s beliefs, i think that’s fair game. if you want to criticize her for being a strong women or for her influence on BO, that’s the same misogyny that’s hurt HRC in this campaign.
hey, I’m going to bed, on east coast time here. A few different lively debates, no harm done if we differ. We need to vent, and why not with friends of a common cause. Take care, ya’ll!
75 4, thanks for your sensitive post (sorry, it wasn’t directed to me but I just wanted to answer because I agree with Sassy) I think the point is that this is what was done to HRC. I am much more sensitive to doing it to others because of how it hurt HRC. When she “wore the pants” it was noted in the MSM. I don’t think there is anything wrong with wearing the pants – not from HRC or MO or me. But around here, if you try to defend women you’re dismissed as an obamabot. that’s just so sad.
New thread upstairs, Sleepless Ones!
Be wonderful to each other. Tell bedtime stories, or ghost stories, or jokes.
Brooklyn,
Your #754 comments were extremely well said. . .very to the point and smart at such a time of night. I had to tell you this before checking out.
Hello, my friends. I wanted to share what I just sent Obama through his web site. I also emailed it to Al Gore and Howard Dean.
Enjoy …
Senator Obama,
I’m a Hillary supporter who currently intends to vote for John McCain. Among the reasons I will vote for John McCain is your refusal to do weekly debates with him.
I want to hear both of you talk about the issues together. Throwing barbs at each other long distance is counterproductive.
You’re repeatedly stressed the importance of having substantive discussions on the issues. Yet you refuse to do so. That tells me a lot about what kind of President you would be.
You repeatedly tout yourself as someone who will reach across the aisle, yet you won’t share the stage with John McCain. That, too, tells me a lot about what kind of President you would be.
You repeatedly talk about transparency in government and have often talked about having weekly meetings with key players. Yet you refuse to have weekly debates with John McCain. That shows me that your word can’t be trusted.
You seem afraid to talk without the aid of a teleprompter or the scripted words of your speechwriters. I don’t want a President who can’t speak for himself and can’t speak extemporaneously.
Your words and your actions are in direct opposition. I don’t trust your ability to lead the country or work with other nations.
I’m willing to listen if you’re willing to do weekly debates with John McCain. But otherwise, you haven’t earned my vote.
A lot of the language is so pervasive in our everyday life.
sorry but i forgot to reply to this above. it IS pervasive. that’s why it was so accepted when BO and the MSM used sexist tactics against HRC. and why the Dems could pretend not to notice any of it. it’s more socially acceptable than racism.
i think it’s worse, not better, bc it’s so prevalent. that’s why no one says anything when it’s used against HRC. and if we use it, we make it even more acceptable and more invisible. but it’s just as pernicious.
#761 Firebelle Puma on 06.18.08 at 2:24 am

anonymous
I’m sorry, but I gotta say this louder than just thinking it:
Hillary Clinton, whom I supported exclusively, is starting to bug me. Already a disappointment she’s been proselytized into believeing Obama is right for our country. Either that or she believes in the principle of party over WE THE PEOPLE and true democracy.
After first hearing of her regrettable endorsement of Obama and then today this joint meeting with him to get donors to contribute to his campaign I think the gal is really looking small these days. Indeed, I have lost a little respect because she continues to remain loyal to a party that is no longer for the people.
The PUMA cause is no longer about Hillary, I hope. It should be about the restoration of democracy the DNC has turned fascists against.
We can all talk now, but the real voice that will matter most comes November 4. Hopefully, Obama, Clinton, The DNC and appeasing fellow Democrats plus the endorsements of losers will feel the wrath of discontentment to the assassins of democracy.

Thats good advise about the email petitions.
Now, I don’t want to sound negative, but I know that you have asked, as have at least half dozen other people, for Murphy to tell us who he/she is; how much money has been raised, ie money meter; and where that money is going ie staff, purchase of goods, advertising etc. So far as I can see, Murphy has been evasive, or ignored the requests altogether.
To his/her credit Murphy has put up the pumapac deed, but that looks to be a blank page with no details as to who “owns the site”.
I know I would not donate to any organization that did not disclose those basic details, especially in an environment of internet fraud etc.
Please don’t get me wrong, I am not saying Murphy is a fraud, or some kind of swindler!!! Its just that everyone should have a right to know who they are giving their hard earned money to. And I believe its in the best interests of Pumapac.
Anyhow, cheers and thank-you to Murphy and the others for all the hard work they are obviously putting in.
Hey, sassysenora, I figured I should put my money where my mouth was.
I may keep sending similar messages every day, maybe highlighting different things each time. One thing about Obama, if he gets put on the spot often enough, he generally responds. If we can make him look weak for refusing to debate McCain, he’ll be forced into doing so. Then McCain can have his way with Obama.
OK, I’m not getting a lick of work done tonight. This blogging is downright dangerous to my productivity.
i love that “go away” i remember it well whenever someone doesn’t drink from from a different brand of koolaid. i’ll match my HRC credentials and fundaising and support to yours ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. bring it on. i’ve been on hill’s team longer than some of you have had internet. betcha.
Firebelle…..You just got the award for putting us back on track!!! I was trying to go to bed, but caught your letter to OB. Super job, that articulates the point of OB hiding from serious debate…definitely needed between the two. I’ll head off to bed inspired by your well spoken words.
#768 headoverhills on 06.18.08 at 2:35 am
you probably beat me. i was a HRC supporter when WJC was prez but since then, she’s moved more to the center. i still liked her but she wasn’t my favorite candidate early in the primaries. but i was so turned off by all the unfair coverage (including a lot of misogyny but also a lot of unfairness to many non-BO candidates) that i ended up being a HRC supporter. and i’m disabled and helping my elderly mom and brother who live only on small Soc. Security checks (and have a disabled child) so my contribs were small. so i’m sure you have me beat at being a HRC supporter. i am a passionate HRC supporter, though.
#756 sassysenora
I take the phrase as more of a criticism of BO for being “weak,” than a disparagement of MO for being strong. I guess I may differ with you on the effect that phrase has, i.e. reinforces a patriarchal view of marriage prevalent in the USA. I think that phrase has become more just a way to say the partner who wears the pants is the stronger one. I think a lot of the baggage attached to that phrase has lost its power. In HRC’s case, the criticism she got had more to do with her just simply BEING a strong, powerful woman in her own right – not her being the stronger partner. That was clear and that was what the criticism was directed at. The two cases are not the same. The statement is to me, anyway, simply a statement, and taken at face value I think it is true. I think MO is the stronger partner. And it’s an important consideration when the woman is not just any woman, but the wife of the POTUS. I think it’s up to us, the listener, to interpret the phrase the way it was intended. The list of politically incorrect words, phrases, etc. has somthing for everyone. I don’t think this one has the impact you do. Some of them just shouldn’t be used because they’re simply blatantly offensive, but I don’t think this one is one of them.
Max (#765), please don’t be too discouraged. Hillary is doing what she has to do, both for her political future and for the causes she so passionately believes in.
One reason Hillary failed to achieve things she wanted to achieve in the healthcare arena during her husband’s presidency is that she and Bill were constantly up against people whose aim was to make them look bad and sabotage their efforts. I think Hillary knows that she can’t keep fighting for you, me, and everyone else if she alienates the people she has to work with. I give her credit for having far more courage and forgiveness than I do.
I’m very hurt and disappointed at the way things have turned out. The only thing that comforts me is the belief that the Universe has something better in store for Hillary. I don’t know what. And I don’t know what the rest of the country will do if Obama becomes President. But I have to put my faith in believing that Hillary is doing what she thinks will best help her continue fighting for us.
YEAH Sassy, the coverage has always bothered me. i left the commission on the status of women to work for the senate (been here in the senate since 1985) hoping to change the way women were perceived. hah, no such luck! at least in my house, my daughter will learn not to turn on her women friends. I went to bill and hill’s 1990 inauguaration. I loved HRC from the git go.
hazel eye … thanks for your support and encouragement tonight. I’ve enjoyed it.
#768 headoverhills
“….bring it on?” What kind of statement is that?
You are free to have any opinion you want, support any candidate you want…..Barack Obama if that’s your guy. Fine. Yeah, I’d like you to go away. Not because you have different views than I do, but because you’re rude and offensive. You’re here to cause trouble and start fights. If you really wanted to debate the issues, you’d be in a site devoted to that purpose.
#771 BrooklynNY on 06.18.08 at 2:44 am
then i guess we’ll have to agree to disagree. i find it very offensive. but then i found the stuff at the top of the page offensive too.
from what you say, wouldn’t it be a criticism of HRC that WJC is stronger? (it seems like you’re saying you think he is.) wouldn’t that be as worrisome as MO being the stronger partner? i know you don’t like MO but a lot of the criticism of HRC was based on WJC’s policies by ppl who didn’t like him. i thought that criticism was sexist bc ppl didn’t criticize GW Bush for what Laura Bush thought.
#770 Sassy – you are dear to my heart. I also have a disabled son. We do what we can do. Love to you for your strength. You remind me why I love strong women. You just do it. ((((hugs))))
#775 – I guess maybe you missed the part about me saying I’ll match my HRC credentials with anyone… She’s my girl,I’m not a McCain poser I’ll admit to that.

i’m so sad about how much harm has been done to women by this campaign. i’m not sure i can bear it but, of course, we all will bc we have no choice.
i talked to a friend today who traveled to South Africa with HRC. he thought she was definitely smarter than WJC (wow! WJC is brilliant!) but was still supporting BO bc his presidency would be so historic. he didn’t seem to understand how this election had hurt women. he just didn’t get it. but then, he kept interrupting me instead of listening so maybe that explains part of it. i’d laugh if it weren’t so predictable.

If you read back to what I said in my post, I said I thought Hillary was a “strong woman, a person in her own right” and that’s what people found offensive; that’s why they attacked her.
You’re seeing interpretations in what I’m saying that aren’t there…
Here’s what I said in my post:
“In HRC’s case, the criticism she got had more to do with her just simply BEING a strong, powerful woman in her own right – not her being the stronger partner.”
I think both partners in any marriage should have equal value; but by nature I think some personalities are more dominant than others and so become the stronger influence. Big difference….
Laura stayed in the background and performed a more traditional role, so she didn’t become a target by people who are threatened by overtly strong, independent-minded women.
Amen to that Sassy. HRC WAS (and still is!) smarter than WJC! She’s brilliant. I wanted her for Prez in 1990! Maybe someday… PS are you on the west coast?

i said it seems. i’m saying that’s how i’ve interpreted what you wrote.
I think both partners in any marriage should have equal value; but by nature I think some personalities are more dominant than others and so become the stronger influence. Big difference….
right. so one is going to have more influence than the other.
equal value /= equal influence. i don’t think influence has much to do with value so i’m not sure why you’re bringing equal value up. (clarification please?)
you said In HRC’s case, the criticism she got (was) . . . not her being the stronger partner.
i thought you were saying she wasn’t the stronger partner. if she wasn’t, Bill was bc i’ve never seen a marriage (or any relationship) where the ppl were absolutely equal wrt their influence over each other.
i’m confused about what you’re saying.
maybe we should just agree to disagree.

you too. i’m going to bed. good-night all.
As difficult as it is to see Hillary “supporting” no name, I think we better get used to seeing that more and more because it is something she just got to do. Now, does that change anything? How I feel about the selection of the Omen? About the message the DNC sent to the party base? About my decision to vote for Senator McCain if nothing happens at the convention? Of course NOT! By the way, I think this is just the beginning. I would not be surprise that as we get more visible and affect the polls in favor of McCain, the undemocratic party leaders put pressure on Hillary to call on US speciffically to “unite” behind no name! We better be ready guys, is coming!

I think you’ve misinterpreted what I said….
I do believe there are marriages where both people are equally strong, (rare though they are) just like there are those where the man is stronger/more influential, or the woman is stronger/more influential. If the dynamic is agreed upon, explicitly or implicitly, by both partners, I see no insult or fault with it.
If, on the other hand, one partner imposes their will on the other, uses their dominant position or their stronger personality in the relationship to devalue the other or abuse them, then I think that’s another story.
By value what I mean is that regardless of what the dynamics are in the relationship between
