Send Bill Clinton warm wishes from Puma PAC!
Let’s send Bill Clinton a card today. He worked so tirelessly and passionately for his wife these past months. He was her most loyal and fiercest defender. He too was smeared for his support of Hillary. Watching him in the crowd as Hillary give her victory speech in New York and her suspension speech in Washington D.C., with Chelsea by his side, I was moved. I’ll never forget that look on his face of unabashed pride and love for his wife.
Right-click on the beautiful card, designed by our own proud Puma in Sin City — dcinvegas@gmail.com, and download it to your computer or save it in whatever format works for you. Send it in an email to info@hillaryclinton.com (that’s the closest we can get, but I’m SURE the thousands of emails you send will be brought to his attention). Add your own personal note, and remember to sign yourself a Puma Democrat. Precise, brief, and sincere notes are MOST likely to be read. If you have technical difficulties, please send an email to murphy@pumapac.org, but I’m confident you can do it!
Also, Happy Father’s Day to all the Puma Daddies out there! The Democratic party is the true coalition and unity party. We’re the party to which the union guys, the veterans, the teachers, the immigrants, the police officers, the soccer dads and every other kind of American man who makes this country great belongs. Have a peaceful and happy day today.
Send your own father a special Puma PAC card, also designed by the most-fabulous dcinvegas.
In comments below, send your father a message. Tell us why you’re grateful to him, or proud of him, or something important that he taught you. Tell us a funny story about him. What did he teach you about being an American or loving your country?
Spend time with your Dad today, in fact or in spirit.

HAPPY FATHER,S DAY TO –BILL CLINTON -THE BEST PRESIDENT AND BEST FATHER .
NOW
Happy father,s day to my dad. I did not get to spend much time with him as i was backhome while he was working in usa but i remember waiting for his phone calls and letters and $100 gift for all straight a,s in class .I was not too happy about coming to usa at young age b/c i did not want to leave my friends but i came with my mom. THEN i saw -how this country and its people open thier arms to everyone and anyone ,i saw how women in this country are the most hard working women ,not only they do jobs but handle kids and home and social life .I am somebody today because of the equal oppurtunity by am gov.,my kids o to a great school b/c of equal oppurtunity ,and i could go on and on .
Today ,i am a american myself not by birth by the values ,experiences and love thAT I GOT HERE .
So DAD –I AM very thankful to you ,not only you tought me how to walk, talk, write, eat but you were worried of our future in backhome country and you had the courage to come here ,and b/c of you ,me and my kids are living a good ,happy life .
THANKS DAD–I love you .
THANKS GOD AND GOD BLESS AMERICA,.
Dear President Clinton,
thank you for all of your hard work. i fell sorry that the media and the Obama camp pushed those awfull stories about you.
Happy Fathers Day All from beautiful Utah! Go Pumas!
And to my beloved Dad, Rest In Peace, I miss you more with each passing day. I have found peace knowing I will see you again, your Darlin
P. S. My Dad taught his children to love and respect nature, he was an avid camper and fisherman in fact, he felt more at home in a outdoors than anywhere else.
Dad raised five children on his own, he never once complained even when times were hard. Dad was the hardest working man I have ever known, a master carpenter, brick mason, and stone mason.
My Dad was a veteran of the Korean War, I found medals in his top drawer, he never mentioned them. My Dad was the best Dad a child could ever have and even now at 50, I still wish I could hold his hand, hug him just once more, tell him I love him and miss him so very much, I miss you Daddy.
I remember as a child, I would watch President Clinton on television and be inspired, even though I was too young to understand most of it. When he announced that we would have the largest surplus in American history, I asked my teacher what that meant, and she simply told me “It’s a very good thing”.
President Clinton, you gave us some of the greatest eight years of American prosperity. You truly were, and still are, a father to the country.
Clinton was the greatest president in my lifetime.
The middle class had unprecedented prosperity.
In his era, Americans were actually loved around the world. (Amazing, isn’t it?)
He brought the races together. For the first time in years, racial tensions diminished.
He gave more black people high profile gigs than any
president in history. Jesse Jackson was always
called on to resolve international crises. (didn’t take a
second for Jackson to turn on him, did it?)
He achieved amasing feats: balancing the budget, reducing welfare roles, helping the environment . . .
He discovered talent, like Al Gore and Hillary Clinton.
No wonder the right wing is so afraid of him.
No wonder mediocrities have an eternal war against this great president.
Thank God for Bill Clinton!
Happy fathers day to all Puma fathers.
If you could compare someone to JFK that is President Clinton and not Obama. Clinton was a wonderful and insightful president . He was a powerhouse and still is. His presence was electrifying and he is very eloquent. His words were followed by action. They were not empty and without substance like BHO’s.
His presidency brought the nation incomparable economic bonanza . He is a true american leader and was a great President. His shoes are very difficult to fill.
But I know that Hillary will soar even higher.
Mediocre people will always rebel against the talented. These people are tormented by the success of others and they will do anything to bring the gifted down into the shadows they live in. The republicans certainly tried with the Clintons but failed. And now we have the Obama’s. They will also fail.
Anyone interested in posting flyers?
http://onechicken.com/PUMA/PUMAflyer3-11.pdf
I’m sorry to be off topic. I want to talk about how we can be more efficient. I’ve noticed a few other people posting on other sites like “Clinton Demcocrats” who said that they could not join here. Maybe that problem has been cleared up now. This place is great but it’s disorganized (to me). The best part about this place is that there is a fire to take action, and there is a daily salutations and action plan. How can we be more efficient though? For instance, I see that someone has made fliers. That’s amazing, but ideas like this need to be highlighted…I think there should be an “Action” section, you know, “Things to do now.” There are many positives to this place, but there are also organizational positives to places like Clinton Democrats, The Puma Party Forum, and Hillary Clinton Forum (though that place is sort of confusing sometimes)..
Does anyone know what I mean? How can we keep this place as it is with the feeling of connection, the daily greetings and action plan, but also a clickable and clear sort of filing system with clear and concise topics?
We must stay focused. People United Means ACTION.
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad. I will be forever grateful that the very last thing I ever said to my dad was “I love you Dad” and the very last thing he ever said to me was “I KNOW that.”
My dad married my mom, a divorcee with three kids, in 1955- unheard of for those days! My Dad treated my three older siblings EXACTLY the same as he treated his four biological kids. He loved every one of us and the many grandchildren, equally and without reservation.
Dad and Mom lived the Democratic ideals. Everybody was treated with dignity and respect. When my parents moved to the suburbs of Boston, they specifically picked a neighborhood with a racially mixed family. Until we moved in, nobody played with the children of that family. One year later, all the children in the neighborhood were friends and played together. (1961- a little ahead of their time my parents were.)
On patriotic holidays, Dad would buy red, white and blue crepe paper and little flags and all the kids would line up to have their bicycles decorated so we could fall in at the end of the parade.
Dad worked HARD- he was a pin ball machine repair tech for the biggest company on the East coast. His route in the summer took him from Old Orchard Beach in Maine, down through New Hampshire (Lincoln Park) Massachusetts (Paragon Park) all the way to NJ. On weekend trips he would take us kids and we would each bring a friend. While Dad repaired the pinbal machines and juke boxes, we would have our hands stamped and ride the amusement rides all day.
When video games came on the scene, Dad studied to keep up and learn the new technology. Being completely deaf he felt he had an advantage as the noise did not distract him. He repaired jukeboxes too- and could balvance the speakers by feel. We usually had one of the machines in the living room so we could “test” it to make sure it would hold up under heavy use.
Dad NEVER, not once, thought of himself as “disabled” and never ever asked for a concession to his deafness. He took his disability and worked just that much harder to be the best at his trade. He started off with what might be perceived as a disadvantage and turned it inot an advantage and became the most in demand tech in his line of work.
Great lesson for all of us- there is nothing you can not do if you set your mind to it. Defeatism is what will defeat you. Believe! Dream! Pray! Work!
Thanks Dad!
P.S. Even though he was deaf and 4-F, my Dad tried to enlist in every branch of the military for WWII. LOL He did not use sign language but read lips. The story goes he always made it ALMOST all the way through the physicals by reading the doctor’s lips.

Delegate Contact Lists For Democrats Against Obama
A Special Message for PUMA Visitors
This nominating process should be a wake up call to Democrats to urge their party leaders to change their primary system; a system designed to allow the party, not the voters to determine the nomination. Democrats, Republicans, & Independents alike should demand “Equal Representation” not as a matter of suggestion but as the inalienable right that our founding fathers believed in.
But now onto the new issue…
Who are the Super delegates? Elected Congressmen & Congresswomen, Governors, State Party Officials, Former High Ranking Party Officials, and State-level congressional leaders.
Despite all of the early talk about these leaders voting with the people, it is surprising how many of them have not. For Instance Below is the list of House Members, Senators, and Governors not voting along the lines of their constituents, along with any recorded contributions from Clinton or Obama. (Isn’t their obligation first and foremost to their constituents?)
This list should not only serve the Puma Community but also as a warning to these Supers that they are setting themselves up fro ferocious attacks by their Republican Rivals in November.

Democratic Storm Warnings: The Anti-Obama Vote
An ongoing series on voter dissatisfaction.
BY TAYLOR MARSH 6-14-08
This is the most dangerous threat to Obama in November. It’s what I’ve been talking about and wrote about today. That Clinton supporters are going to ignore McCain’s record, because their anti-Obama feelings are stronger than what a McCain presidency would bring. …and so it begins. But this one comes from a delegate to the Democratic convention.

Rural Illinois May Offer Clues to Obama’s Electability
Courting of Rural Areas Began in ’96
By Alec MacGillis
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, June 15, 2008; Page A06
CHESTER, Ill. — The rookie state senator from Chicago had driven 340 miles to explore southern Illinois, but Barb Brown could muster only 20 Democrats in this small town on the Mississippi River to have breakfast with him. She asked her niece and sister-in-law, who were helping in the kitchen, to come out to pad the audience.
Happy Father’s Day to President Clinton and All Fathers, My dad passed away over 20 years ago, but I love him very much and will always miss him. These virtues he taught me by example: Integrity, honesty and compassion. I also inherited his passion for knowing all I can about politics and candidates. It started around the age of 8 years old. I have been Unaffiliated for many years because I consider the candidates independently not by what the DNC or RNC wants me to believe. I am a moderate with a lean towards the left on most issues. The Clintons great parenting skills are apparent. What a wonderful adult Chelsea has become. She was quite impressive on the campaign trail. A well-mannered, intelligent young woman.
Has anyone besides me noticed how the Obama supporters and their blogs express so much hatred toward us? Is this just my imagination?
Yesterday I wrote about my ‘friend’ who is an African-American Republican who says she and her other friends “don’t care about the political/economic issues and are going to vote for Obama because it’s “the first chance they have had to elect a black president in their lifetime”. She said that white-americans “know there will be a race war in America if Obama loses the election”.
So I asked her if she and her friends were making the election all about ‘race’ and reminded her that there is really only one race and that is the HUMAN race. I asked her why Obama would make such a inciteful comment in Philadelphia about “bringing a gun to a knife fight”. I reminded her that Obama has a black AND a white parent and asked why his campaign is so much about the black and not the white.
Well, she got mad and didn’t want to talk with me anymore, and made some comment about wondering if we ever were really friends.
It left me wondering if this is Obama’s unifying strategy and, if it continues, what effect it will have by the time November arrives.
The notes are beautiful. TTME (tear to my eye)

Murphy,
Do you think you could add these emails to the list on the orignal blog. Possibly if we send to all these emails, at least one would actually be read by someone.
I had some luck getting through on them during the campaign.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING TO ALL PUMAs!!! And a big round of PUMA paws coming together for the card’s designer dcinvegas@gmail.com !!!!!
Happy Father’s Day to all the Puma Dads and of course to President Clinton. I miss my dad, it’s been 4 years now and I still miss him as much as ever. He taught us a lot. My dad was a great dad. He played with us; actually he was a big kid himself. He was in World War II in the Army Air Corps, he volunteered as soon as he turned 18 and he was stationed in Germany post-war. He actually went through some of the concentration camps in the Germany-Poland area and he is the one who helped teach us about what actually happened there. I will always remember him saying that the smell was something he couldn’t describe, but he could smell it even now. He was a union bricklayer and a proud craftsman. He was a hunter and a fisherman and an avid baseball fan, and a great baseball player himself. Daddy, I love you.
Happy Fathers Day to my Dad. He is a very gentle and kind soul and he taught me about compassion and empathy for others. He is also very strong and intelligent and always taught me to be logical level headed when making decisons. I was raised very much in the democratic party as he was the head of his labor union for many years but he is also proud of me now as I stand for what is right for me and have become independent and will vote republican for the first time in my life (if Hillary is not the nominee, haven’t given up yet). So I’d like to thank him for shaping me into the person I am today who is able to think on her own and stand up for what I believe in. Thanks Dad.
I agree, Murphy. These comments are so very beautiful and touching. I wanted to find some way to honor my Dad today. He passed away 10 years ago. He was a wonderful person who was completely devoted to his family. His strong work ethic, honesty, integrity and love guided his life and these values were instilled in me. He was always the voice of reason in our family–the rock, the pragamatist–but he also had a heart of gold. His steady loving voice and his beautiful soul remain with me to this day. Happy Fathers Day, Dad! Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dad’s and to President Clinton.

My dad’s be gone for eight years he loved elections and history and he use to call different pol. sob’s and my mom would yell from the kitchen THOMAS he was a democrat and loved the kennedy’s and he loved Bill Clinton and of course FDR.and I know he would have been for Hillary.
My father wasn’t into politics at all. Thought they were all corrupt and for big business but my father-in-law was a devoted Democrat. He would roll over in his grave if he knew we were going to vote for McCain. He never told us how to live our lives ( my father-in-law ) but he did tell us register as Democrats and always vote for the democrats. I know he would have loved Hillary.

I truly believe you can’t sit back and let the other person vote. You have to get out there and cast your vote. I really want to help change our system as I do not agree with the delegate and super delegate system. For not having a family involved in politics I have been very vocal and supporting. My feelings are if you don’t vote then you can’t complain. You get certain rights when you do your duty ………….LOL

THANKS IT WAS A GOOD LAUGH
I need to forward that on to everyone in my email list that is for bo.
#34 suzieforhill, thank you for spreading the word around. When I watched it I laughed like crazy. Thank you.

If I get into a discussion with anyone that is for bo I do ask them about his experience and they only mention that he is for change……………..nothing else. I am logical and go for the known rather than the unknown especially when it comes to running this country.
if you find anymore share it with us………..
I can’t believe the public doesn’t see this, my husband said that everyone is so tired of the bush years that they just follow bo’s promise of change. I want to know Change What ???? BUT EVEN IF HE HAD SPECIFIC ANSWERS I STILL WOULD NOT VOTE FOR HIM. I AM GOING FOR THE KNOWN——MCCAIN. BUT IF WE COULD GET HILLARY IN THERE SOMEHOW SHE OF COURSE WOULD GET MY VOTE
WOW IT IS QUIET ON HERE TODAY…………I GUESS BECAUSE IT IS FATHER’S DAY

I totaly agree with you. maybe we need to murge with pumaparty.com. and we need a section that is clearly highlited for one perpus like flyers. we need also a forum style so thats why i think that we should murge with http://pumaparty.com
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the PUMA fathers.
Thank you President Clinton for leading the democratic way.
HI ALL:
I know it’s be said by several already, but i’d like to add my support for the idea to organize our site more efficiently:)
i TOTALLY agree that the Action items, & Information (good links, etc) be separated.
I only started to blog bc of this issue; I find some forums informative, but alot of time it is more like it’s IM or sth…And when i need certain information on a forum asap, it is incredibly frustrating to have to open each post/link to see if it is substantive or more personal.
i know blogs r community, and so perhaps a separate thread for just ‘ruminations/personal experiences/rants’ This isn’t meant as any disrespect to anyone in particular.
I just am ANXIOUS to MAKE A DIFFERENCE & DO SOMETHING!!! I haven’t heard anything ab the collection of caucus cheating personal testimonials, evidence/video/recording…Or gathering all the info that’s out there on caucus vote count-busing in-delegate distribution.
I have seen 1 site that goes over the number of votes vs. number of registered voters in her district. I think this is a fabulous idea–if the local DNC chapter will release that sort of information to us? If so, we can break it down district by district & really show how every caucus seems to have an extra 800 votes each time! That is black & white, very damning evidence that can’t be pooh-poohed away as “bitter losers who see conspiracies in everything.”
How ab the idea I posted ab contacting some big name poobahs to start raising these questions in public–ESPecially if we have hard numbers/facts, like the voter counts per district/county. If we give them concrete talking points they would be amenable, I believe–for ex. Barbara Streisand.
She supported HRC but under the call for unity she is said to support BO now, esp with Jewish voters AND possibly writing a SONG for his campaign/election!!!
Streisand doing this would almost certainly strike a big blow to those who might feel there is still sth to fight for….I don’t have her contact info–I just found this info & thought maybe those here who seem to have good contacts/networks to high party officials & celebrities..?
I don’t think just an email will really grab their attn–they are used to fans & likly their personal asst. handles it.
That is what i have found extremely useful–the links & contact info of certain ppl to encourage, offer to help, talking points (eg. Harvey Weinstein)–bc for me, I only have access to their official sites, & only lobbydelegates.com has everything kinda sorted. For example Pelosi’s automatic reply was ab her senate email address vs. her speaker of the house address. That would a lot of time & effort to go straight to it.
Earlier I had also mentioned Mike Moore & George Soros..! That was bf I knew Soros was so into the BO campaign. I still might write him, bc he is the proponent of civil society, & some pov fm the other side of the DNC might get thru to him. Now, I’m not gonna write alot of emails, maybe 1.
As for Mike Moore, I know he wrote that awful letter ab HRC & endorsing BO…However, I still think he’s a possibility–for all the reasons I posted in my earlier days/comments.
I am not critiquing anyone, i think this site is fantastic–I just want to get sth going, in addition to the emails to delegates, but esp sth that will build upon itself so that by Convention we have an argument that is so monumental, w/ data/analysis/etc all included, & even obscure legal cases that support it, etc…Else we won’t be taken seriously by the DNC or he media as having a LEGITMATE reason to oppose BO’s nomination.
Anyway, back to the site format, I only check it a few times a day & I’d like to be able to find where I left off or at least see more info per screen space bc I don’t have alot of time to do it (except at nite) and for me anyway, it seems to take *forever* to scroll down one line by line…~:-S The extra time it takes to read thru each posting, as on this site(for me) the comments are all on narrow vertical column (ie, it is only on one half of my screen;) is excrutiating to have to scroll down so slowly, having to read thru each posting to see if it is fruitful for action or fruitful or building good talking points/information to start dessiminating (Hey!–does someone have a ‘master list’ – a group email for all the delegates, Super or otherwise? How fantastic that would be…I don’t know enuff tech to know whether emails can all be gathered like this w/o typing in one by one butif we could–then we could all use to to send our various emails… !?!!)
As written earlier, esp to those who switched to BO or as per the pledged delegates case, voted against what their district constituency voted for…THEN if we id them, we can post newspaper ad or submit letters/editorials to papers or other ways to have those local communities apply pressure to that delegate also. This goes directly to their self-interest concerns for re-election by their constituents.
Any thoughts…?
suzie4hill – check out the open thread. more there

Here are some posts re: Streisand…she was so helpful in blunting the devastation of someone of Oprahs stature, who never endorses, when O endorsed BO (Streisand endorsed HRC after hearing the O had for BO)
Streisand is such a big victory for the BO ppl, there are so many articles already talking ab, & her legions of fans waiting to take their cues from her, and most damning would be her singing for BO!!
It seems ppl had to work hard for Streisand to come over, SOOOO bf it settles in too much with ther, let us start the eye-opening information campaign to Ms Streisand, so she might back off…She is supposed to help huge with the Jewish community AND of course, what they consider HRC’s supporter base–white, middle aged/older women–she is their generational touch point.

Dear Mr President
(Can I call you Bill, Its my Dad’s name too ?)
Let me begin by wishing you a
~Wonderful and peaceful~ Fathers Day.
Also I want to thank you for everything you did, your dedication, and obvious pride and love for your Wife and daughter.
Also be assured that most of America recognized the slimy tactics of the press, and Obama’s surrogates.
That they would “Dare” impune your integrity or imply racism only showed tehir own desperation and the lengths they would go to get Obama elected.
Perhaps we all underestimated just how low they would stoop.. well now we know.
But now I would implore that you and Hillary take a much needed, much earned rest. You both worked so hard for all of us, now its time for you to relax, enjoy this time with your loved ones.
)
Never doubt that we are all still standing strong for you BOTH.. We will never forget
Respect is earned, and cannot be handed off quite so easily.
Again I thank you for your dedication to our Country, and the Love you have displayed to your Family.
You are a remarkable Man (Much like my own father
and an Outstanding President.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
Beautiful Card for Fathers day. Beautiful thoughts on sending card to Bill Clinton – Pride 2 term Democratic President in the past 40 years? That was good period of times, the country has soared in high tech good paid jobs, no War, and surplus. We were so strong in the world, we were united. We will be united for bring the Country back on track. Not just unite for political reasons to please your party leader, but for getting job done for American People.
You know that Bill’s a great Dad because Chelsea is so wonderful!!!
Thanks for taking so much time around the country to talk to every one about Hillary!
And a special thanks from those of us down here in New Orleans that know how much the Bush Clinton Katrina fund has done for our universities during our rebuilding!!!!
Many many blessings !!!!
kat
LGBT Pumas, are you ready to do some Puma shadowing and canvassing at Gay Pride events this month?
*I am assuming these letters are being forwarded right?* Otherwise please let me know what email Address I need to be sending these to
Thanks
(Side note, I too think an organized action center would be very effective an helpful.
Form letter’s addresses, and phone numbers, not to mention events, and hopefully arranged Media coverage.
They need to know Its not so much about supporting Mccain as it is about NOT supporting the DNC, their blatant seclusion of voters, and Their obvious political sabotage and”Seclection” of the Democratic Nominee and their treatment of voters throughout these Primaries, Their allowing of disgusting Race Baiting and Sexism in the Media to go unchallenged and the disgusting tactics of the ~Caucuses~.
The System needs to change is our country has any hope in the future. Its not just about the Candidte now, Its about our Political process and how it cuts out Millions of honest dedicted voters.
oops, wrong post sorry. Though I will say Happy Father’s Day to all the gay dads in Puma PAC.
#41 – Fedupdem2008.
I agree with you – that it is so difficult and time consuming to get to the serious posts because there are a lot of “chats” in between. A lot of us want information consolidated because as I said, day after day, the hundreds of blogs do get buried. Brilliantly written blogs, useful information, insights does get buried and if you miss reading or scrolling for a day, you would miss these blogs that people take so much time to put together.
I really think there needs to be a website that extracts the “substantial” blogs and archives them daily for quick reading. Also in the website (puma website of course) a page with all the relevant emails, phone numbers, addresses, a page for form letters, etc… So anyone can go in and pull anything they need to send off without having to hunt and peck from the daily blogs.
For your information, if you want to send bulk emails (meaning one identical email message to several receipients) you can copy and paste all the emails on excel. When you have all of them, 30, 50 etc copy and paste then on to your outlook express or your other email program. We use outlook express to send to all our people – 6000 at one time but broken into chunks of 100 people each.
Obama is courting Latinos and Jewish very aggressively. These communities need to know that they should not follow OBama blindly just because Hillary said to rally around him. What choice did she have ?
I personally feel that as time goes on, a lot of people feel that they may have found a “home” in Puma blog to vent and discuss with like minded folks. I hope we don’t feel too comfortable and sated. I hope we keep in our mind and hearts the same sentiment we felt on June 7 when we heard Hillary’s speech.
Has anyone seen or heard from Hillary lately? Seems to be quiet, but then I really don’t watch the news anymore so who knows.
I really hope some how some way she can still pull this through and be out nominee come August.
Anyone feel this can happen?

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/
Dear Mr. President,
Thank you for your hard work. You and Hillary are my heroes and role models.
I have a hard time nowdays. I always think ‘what would a Clinton do?’ Than I get up and try once more.
Happy Fathers Day, Mr. President!
Hi,
I just found these two clips.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7zAnZcJ4bI This clip combines a lot of different pieces–listen very closely to some racist quotes from his book.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a1sCRJgQQI
This clip shows crucial info at 2:16-2:50 He talks about Cuba, Venezuella, and Iran are not relevant to us.
My computer shuts down every so often, so I’ll post more links in a little bit.
Enjoy,

Sent the card above to President Bill. Murphy, let us know how you liked Kung Foo Panda.
Also in the website (puma website of course) a page with all the relevant emails, phone numbers, addresses, a page for form letters, etc… So anyone can go in and pull anything they need to send off without having to hunt and peck from the daily blogs.
pumaparty.com is well set up for this sort of thing and has invited any of us to use their facilities. We can still have the long free for all threads here, but stuff people may need to find again can be copied and posted over their by subject in their forums.
maybe we need to murge with pumaparty.com. and we need a section that is clearly highlited for one perpus like flyers. we need also a forum style so thats why i think that we should murge with http://pumaparty.com
It doesn’t have to be a big official ta-da “MERGE” Just anyone who wants to use some faciliity they have can go do it. I’ve started two blogs over there and some threads in their Forums, including one called ‘RESOURCES’ for lists of delegates and media, links to background on Obama, etc.
My comments about my father, and fathers more generally, appear at http://heidilipotpourri.blogspot.com/. There’s also a fun picture of President Clinton, and (of course) urging to retire the debt, part of my own small effort to make this the best Father’s Day ever for the Clinton family.
My own father taught me the values of loyalty and integrity. These values sustain me even when the going gets tough.
kat,
About fliers, we need a central place to post links to them. But the fliers themselves can be very easily created and stored at docs.google.com
Anyone who has an idea for a flyer, can just go up to Google and make an account (real easy) and compose their flyer online and store it in a section in their account. Then they can post the link to that section (and a password if they want to protect the section). THen any of us anywhwere can print out that flyer and distribute it wherever we live.
Or of course any of us can copy the flyer and post it at other online places, such as here and pumaparty.com etc.

Here is my daily 2 cents worth:
After re-reading the “ABOUT”…
[[1. To support the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. Updated 6/7/08 — Hillary Clinton was forced to suspend her campaign because the DNC decided to select its preferred nominee, so we are not directly campaigning for her. We consider her to be the leader of the Democratic party and our members will continue to support her throughout this election cycle.]]
The phrase, “so we are not directly campaigning for her;” does not sit well with me; and for the following reason:
Hillary can still WIN the Democratic Nomination. (She is only what… 160 delegates away). All she needs to accomplish winning is for the SuperDelegates to switch their votes back to her; either before the Convention or during it when they cast their official votes.
So, I think what you really meant to say there was that PUMA is not legally affiliated with the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign; nor are you representing her Campaign which she suspended. What you mean to say is that PUMA is an entity unto itself but that you are STILL committed to having the DNCC NOMINATING HER AS THE PARTY’s Presidential Nomineee for the 08 presidency. So that, the thrust of item #1 should be, in my opinion, is to get the SuperDelegates to rethink their choice. For they are the only ones at this point empowered to do that.
Following that line of thinking you can then present your case as to why you think she can beat McCain in the fall whereas BHO cannot. You would have to do a detailed comparison citing her strengths over his. To do that, you should use her letter and pdf to the SuperDelegates as a template and reformulate it.
For example,
Hillary won the Popular Vote by….
Hillary already has the Electorial MAP [308 points plus]
Hillary won the larger states needed in the fall [list them]
Hillary won the swing states needed in the fall [list them]
Hillary has the support of the Latino vote, the Hispanic vote, the blue collar vote, the women’s vote, etc, but you would have to list the margins.
But I think, must importantly at this time, is for us to keep a record of the polls… because if his numbers to not rise dramatically in the next fews days, THAT will be a plus for Hillary because it will show that Hillary supporters are not switching over to him—see!
IOW, barring any major blunder or event to knock BHO down, the SuperDelegates won’t change their mind as long as he is the one with the money. But they will if they thought that he might lose to McCain due to slipping polls.
Guess what I am saying also is, We need to give Hillary a strong enough reason for her to REACTIVATE HER CAMPAIGN on our behalf. And she can do that at anytime. Thing is, she won’t do it if she as seen as a party spoiler. She has to be seen as working in behalf of the party. That’s why she is endorsing him. But if the Party begins to fell threatened in any way, then, and only then, in my opinion will they revisit or even suggest that she represent the Party in the fall.
Waiting for the Convention may be a long shot, but I have seen stranger things happen in lifetime. Her case was her “electibility” and we still feel that she is the one most electible. So my question for the DNC is to *define* the meaning of electibility because I think they threw the election because of all the money he has raised. IOW, when the DNC rules say that that delegates can vote their conscience, I would be seeking an answer to where does their conscience lay: with the voters or with the god almighty dollar.
Where is our Hope?
Where the Change?
Sent my wishes to President Clinton! I used the e-mail provided (now I will probably receive junk mail), and then looked up his foundation, subscribed, and sent him an e-mail at contact@clintonfoundation.org. I think he has a better chance of getting it through there!
My dad~
I have a great dad! I admire him for standing up for his principles. He believes what he believes and nobody can change his mind. I think I know where I got it from, lol. My dad is there when I need him, but gives me space when I don’t. He is thoughtful and generous. I can’t imagine life without him. Happy Father’s Day Dad!
Oh, I told him last night about my plans to vote for McCain if no Hillary. I told him that a long time ago, too that I would NEVER vote for O. He is happy since he is a diehard Republican. I let him know about the PUMA movement taking place and to listen for it. He is ALWAYS watching Fox News. Looking forward to him calling and saying he heard about PUMA on there!
Ok, I got to vent here. A friend of ours is saying that he has been hearing that Obama is spending alot of money in swing states and it sounds like McCain isn’t (also sounds like his rankings are going up against McCain as well). He seems to think that Obama is going to be the next president (he is not for Obama). Are you hearing the same kind of things?
We need Obama to be out! Is there still hope for Hillary?
I do not watch the news anymore now that Hillary is out,so i don’t really know what is going on.
I just want Hillary back in…….
Please say it is still possible…
I’d like to wish ALL dads a Happy Fathers Day..I know i’m a little late but it’s been a busy day..
rpl…
I dont know what to think…
as far as Hillary getting the nomanation in ’08 ..it seems unlikely to me ..BUT.. 3 out of 5 people that I’ve talk to did’nt even vote in the primaries at all…and the others voted for Hillary….ALL of them will be voting for McCain in NOV..
It seems as though we (the majority) Know that Hillary is the BESTchoice and McCain is the second best choice..
I can’t see OB winning in NOV..Not after Trinity church..and the DNC tabacle…but thats just me..
“the structure of the race looks slightly different than at any other time this year as a result of the relatively high percentage of voters — 15% — not favoring either major-party candidate. This includes 7% of voters who say they are undecided and 8% who say they will not vote for either candidate (including 1% who volunteer they will vote for another specific candidate).”
-Gallup
How are the pundits going to spin that? PUMA Democrats are beginning to make their voices heard, and we’ve only just begun.
Strap yourselves in PUMAs, we’ve got five months ahead!
from what I’ve seen at least in my community..is that there are alot of folks who did not vote….MOST of them want Hillary but they will vote Mc..if they have to choose between OB and McCain..
They know McCain better and dont really consider him a very “conservative” republicain..
on the other hand they dont really know OB and think he is just playing political games…
I plan on voting for Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party. I don’t want to vote for BO but at the same time McCain will not end the war in Iraq. By not ending the war, more young men and women will die. My vote will help determine if more people will die or not. I just feel strongly that I should set aside my ego and think about are troops in harms way for no reason. Those who choose to vote for McCain, even if he is in office for only four years, will be directly responsible for thousands of more unnecessary casualties. I don’t want that on my conscience and that is far more important than any level of spite I may possess.
One more thing… Happy Father’s Day for every supportive non-deadbeat father out there, even BO. All good fathers deserve that respect. That is one of a small handfull of times I can set aside political differences.
James.. i dont think folks are voting for Hillary OR McCain out of “spite”..they just think either candidate is better than OB..its not a gender thing or a racist thing…its who is best qulified….
HAPPY FATHERS DAY to EVERYONE…
Dear President Clinton,
On behalf of the all good people of my native country Bosnia, especialy children, myself and my family I wish you Happy Father’s day.
You are our hero and we are so greatful to you for what you have done for people of Bosnia&Herzegovina. You saved our nation and country, without you B&H would not exist anymore. Thank you president Clinton.
Especial thanks to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton for her visite to my homeland during the war, as first lady and I am immensely proud .
It is my honor and privilage to support Hillary Clinton for President. Thank you Senator Clinton for stand for us- we always stand for you.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Puma dads and President Clinton.
That “spite” was a poor choice of words on my part. I agree McCain is more qualified than BO and for a bit was considering voting for him. But I realized it was spite on my part. I don’t wand BO but I want the war to end soon. That only leaves one option for me. Libertarian.
I agree ..we do need a new party ..We just need a leader..
Hi Hillary Family,
I want to repost this from the “Happy Father’s Day Open thread”. Please vote on this poll:

No “ONE” person is going to end the war..No matter what they say…I onced served in the military…and my thought is .. if you were to ask those who are there now or the family members of those who have been there ..they would say “finish it”…. I can’t speak for anyone but myself….yes we need to end the war ..but we also need to finish it …
Silent:
I would have thought the trinity church thing would have stopped the nomination process for him, but that didn’t happen….
I hope something changes soon so Hillary can get back in…
I agree maybe a New Party is in order.
We could be “Progressives” that embodies much of the Democratic Ideal, I wouldnt mind having a (P) by my name.
And it sounds Good
“The Progressive National Convention.
The Progressive Presidential Nominee.
It stands for looking forward.. I like it.
And God knows The DNC has become so Dirty Im ashamed to be part of it.
Any other Ideas ?
The DNC has become Dirty
Any suggestions ?
