No one knows what today’s speech will bring. Speculation is running like wildfire in every direction. Let’s not panic. From our perspective, there are really only two possible outcomes to today’s speech. Either she will fully and unequivocally withdraw from the race, OR she will not.
If she announces a complete and permanent end to her bid for the nomination, I, for one, do not want to waste any time being depressed. I don’t even want to spend any time feeling bad. If Hillary is out, then our path is clear. We will work to let the DNC know that PUMAs are protesting the 2008 presidential election. In response to the bungling, the baiting, the rule-bending, and the assault on the franchise of millions of voters in Florida and Michigan, PUMAs will not support the Democratic party’s nominee for president in 2008.
If Hillary is forced out today, as a PAC we will lobby for changes in the DNC leadership. We will advertise our commitment to protest the election in as many media outlets as we can afford. We will reach out to the public to invite like-minded voters to join our protest. We will reach out to political leaders in Congress and in ALL 50 states who have stood firm against the DNC’s usurpation of the will of the majority of Democrats who VOTED for Hillary Clinton. We will seek their help in changing the leadership and direction of the DNC.
We will repeat over and over again that we will not support an illegitimate nominee.
If Hillary leaves open the possibility of continuing through the summer as a viable nominee; if she signals that her capitulation is neither final nor complete, then there will most definitely be no time for “feeling down.” Our first and most urgent goal will be to help make her viability stronger. We will advertise our unwavering support for her in as many media outlets as we can afford. We will reach out to the public, to Independents and dissatisfied Republicans to invite them to join us. We will coin a new phrase — Hillary Republicans, and seek the support of moderate Republicans who want to participate in electing an unprecedentedly competent and historic candidate. We will reach out to political leaders in Congress and in ALL 50 states who have stood firm against the DNC’s usurpation of the will of the majority of Democrats — the 17 million+ who VOTED for Hillary Clinton. We will support and reward them for their efforts with our votes, our time, and our donations.

I read somewhere on the other blogs, that Hillary is being threatened by the DNC to concede and release the delegates to Obama or loose her Senate seat in NY next election. So I am sure she will concde. For me this is just another reason to dig in and vote McCain. The polls out today bother me. With all of our support McCain should be starting to move up fairly rapidly. That’s not happening. How many PUMAS do we have now, anyone? And how many have quit the Democratic Party and switched to independent? There are no numbers out yet, but it has to be in the tens of thousands, doesn’t it?
Murphy and Friends, I look forward to tomorrow and what Hillary will say. I agree with the ideas of 1) working for change of the Democratic Party, 2) honoring and supporting the role of women in politics, and 3) bringing attention to all voters about the discriminatory and inflammatory practices toward women in all areas of life. I know that there are a lot of gentlemen that will stand with us on these ideas. I’m not a card carrying feminist, but I have seen the opportunities limited for my daughter and yet expanded for my son. It still happens.

jdona – why would she even need to release her delegates before the convention if Obama has it “wrapped up,” as they say? I am a 41 year old man that is also trying to organize a march on Denver. I know what the law says about permits however i submit this, what exactly is any branch of law enforcement going to do if millions of people just show up without a permit. Are they going to throw us all in jail? What we don’t want is any type of violence. It will destroy our legitimate intentions and make us look like a mob. I say forget permits lets just go. As far as a name i personally don’t think that a name that is not all inclusive of everyones reason to be there is apporpriate. I am going there because my constitutional right to have my vote count has been taken from me. Not since slavery has any person in this country been counted as less than a “whole” person and this is just the begining of a much more dangerous movement to strip all American of their right for their vote to be heard and counted in full. I understand and agree with the womens issues but there are other issues at stake here as well and we all need to come togeather as one in this. I personally believe that we need to unite and get MAJOR intenet advertising to get the word out that this is going on. If i thought that it was possible i would start calling everyone that voted for Hillary but how do i get a list of Hillary voters. There are many web sites now talking about going to Denver and we all need to unite and get out as much advertising as possible to get as many people tio actually go to Denver as possible. I have been explaining to people that less than a million people would be like attacking the jolly green giant with a cap gun. They would laugh at us. We need numbers. I think everyone should write to Fox and explain their reason for marching. Nicely please we dont want any bad press.
If we can get enough people, it won’t matter if we have permits. They can’t lock us all up and as long as we remain civil, they won’t dare arrest anyone. The thing we have to do is get everyone together. Right now, there are hundreds of groups out there drifting in the wind. We are the only PAC that I’ve come across and we need to really push that when we visit other sites. This is a place where we can make a real difference, not just a place to vent! It’s up to us to get the word out.
The idea of marching in Denver is fantastic, but please think about the fact that the Obamabots will also probably show up in vast numbers. I would hate to see it all turn violent. Please think about this and do whatever it takes to try to make sure that the march remains peaceful, dignified, and righteous. I would hate to see any fellow PUMAs or Hillary supporters injured.

I agree about no violence but truth is that there are going to be tired and angry people there and things happen. We all have to take responsibility for our own actions and dont let anyone force our hand. I can assure you that the police , if we don’t have enough people, will be directed to start problems to make us look bad. Yelling pushing demanding and such and as for me i will just ignore them. Thats the best any of us can do. I am there for a purpose and refuse to let anyone goad me into destroying that message. We still have a big problem though. Numbers. Went by Hill’s site before retiring and got the following word. Hillary and OB have agreed to “fuse” their fundraising. I’m not telling anyone what they should do, but I sent my last contribution to Hill today. I wish I could get it back. I will not willfully fund racism, sexism elitism, inexperience, corruption, voter disenfranchisement, cronyism or arrogance!
I love the thank you letter idea. But I remembered that all of the mail to Washington goes through stringent security checks, which holds up the mail for months and months before it reaches its destination. That information is perhaps a year old. Does anyone know the current state of mail getting through to Washington, particularly to the big wigs in congress?

I have been reading through this blog while waiting for the ok for me to post and i have seen alot of good questions and alot of good suggestions. I have been blogging on several other sites and this is what i have been saying.
(1) IF we have enough people (and i am seriously hoping for millions litterally) permits are a mute point. They will never issue a permit for millions and there will be NOTHING they can do if we show up in that type of force even if they declare martial law.
(2) as far as where we are going to stay. Good question. Hotels are all booked folks. I have no plans on going anywhere when i get there but to stay right there surrounding the DNC so i am telling people if they feel the same to bring food and a change of clothes or two.
(3) we litterally MUST come togeather from all of the different web sites and become one. There are alot of issues at stake here, i have my own, but if we are divided they will laugh at us and our trip will be for nothing.
(4) we MUST , every person, do our part to try to get as many people to Denver as possible. Knock on doors, call our friends, talk at work, send out flyers. We MUST shoot for MILLIONS of people decending on Denver or our voice will be no more than trying to attack the jolly green giant with a cap gun. They will laugh at us and just brush us away. If your neighbor wants to go but cannot afford it, give them a ride. If your employees want to go, let them and hold their job for them. Help anyone in any way that you can to make sure they get there.
(5) THERE MUST NOT BE ANY VIOLENCE OF ANY KIND FOR ANY REASON. I cannot stress this enough. There will be people trying to goad us into violence and we must not let them win. If we do we look like an angry mob instead of intelligent people demanding to be heard.
(6) This is a personal beef of mine. I hear alot of people telling me, I can’t get off of work, I cant afford it, I have got to ……… I do understand that some people wont be able to make it for medical reasons and i don’t advocate anyone bringing children. However if there is a person that you know of that is just sitting there watching the tube and complaining about all of this inspire them to get up off their butt and get to Denver.
It would also be great if there was a IT professional who can help with the linking of sites to bring everyone togeather instead of spread all over the web. Anyone who can think of any way that might help get the word out about the march is greatly appreciated. Anyone in the media who should want to report on our organization of this march is also greatly appreciated and if you have and suggestions we are willing to listen. I was just watching Jay Leno, I do not know about any of you but it seems that he totally tries to make BO look good. I just saw the game that they play Jeopardy and a look alike of Hillary, Barack Obama and President Bush were on. Jay Leno asked something about a lap dance and the Hillary look alike responded that it is what she is trying to do to BO to become the VP. And she was moving herself on to him with her you know what, and the BO look alike responded by saying he would probably go for it but there is to much junk in the trunk. I felt offended by that!!!!

Dear Chairman Dean,
I am a life-long Democratic who has volunteered time and money to the party’s Presidential candidates since I first turned eighteen in 1976. When I joined the party, I believed that the party offered the best chance of changing the corrupt environment in Washington. Several years ago, I silently supported your choice for DNC Chair because I believed that you more than anyone would bring welcome changes to the party and ensure that the Democratic party was indeed “democratic.” It is with regret that I will not be supporting the party in this year’s presidential campaign. Nor will I be supporting Mr. McCain either.
I have not made my decision on the basis of the fact that my candidate did not win but rather because the DNC establishment stood silent on the sidelines while Senator Clinton was subject to a slew of sexist attacks that still continue. In addition, despite the fact that the Obama campaign did everything it could to ensure that there would be no revotes in Michigan and Florida, the rules committee decided to reward the Obama campaign with more delegates than he deserved. I cannot believe the extent to which the Democratic Party has become a mirror of the Republican Party. If someone had told me that it would be the Democratic Party in 2008 that would choose a nominee ,not based on the will of the people, but rather as the result of a usurped caucus process in which a minority could bully the majority, I would never have believed it. The undemocratic nature of the caucus system is reflected in the fact that while, Senator Clinton won the Texas primary, Obama won the bulk of the Texas delegates. I also cannot believe that many superdelegates felt no obligation to vote with the will of the popular vote.
I have read the comments of many pundits in the past week speculating on what the Obama campaign needs to do to win over its base. Speculation has ranged from placing Senator Clinton on the ticket to just waiting until people cool off. I cannot speak for anyone else. What you need to do to win me back is to become “Democratic” again. To listen to the people again and not to allow individuals who seek to promote their own self-interest manipulate the party by seeking to silence so many voices.
This decision is a particularly painful one for me. As a lawyer, I know the harm that will befall the Supreme Court as it tilts further to the right. However, my days spent demonstrating on the streets for abortion rights and against the Iraq war, I have earned my seat on the sidelines. The greater threat that our country faces now is that, with the complicity of the Democratic Party, we will lose not only the Court, but our democracy as well.

I just read Dontrustobama’s post and was struck by the irony that Obama and the DNC have restored the slave, head-count policy where each slave counted as 3/5 of a person. We are faring even worse with only 1/2 a vote per person.

For what it is worth,the host of this site has posted that he was contacted by the “holder” of the infamous “whitey” tape and allowed him to hear some of it. Apparently will not release for fear of reprisal.

He has given his word that he will not devulge name but assures everyone that he is not giving up trying to convince this person to do the right thing.
The big media and the NY Times are reporting via Clinton supporters that we will all …except for a miniscule minority…get on board and vote Obama. NO!
Sadly, Hillary is going to unequivocally endorse Obama today at noon. I won’t hold this against her, but I will not be swayed. Your posting is excellent and right on. The process and the DNC are tainted. A vote for Obama condones their behavior. I know there are vital issues at stake, but for me the issue of a truly democratic party is even more important. Large scale protests in Denver are what the DNC fears most. They want their fake unity media convention event, not division. Do we have the numbers. I asked yesterday how many of us are there? I have been searching many blogs that have sprouted up during this past week in support of Hillary. The movement is amazing. I must say that this organization strikes me as the best since it has a clear mission, seems well structured and focused. I want to thank the originators of this PAC for their incredible dedication and organization in putting this PAC together. I will support this movement. I do have some concerns, some of which have been stated by others on this site. I would like to share them with you if you don’t mind. First, I think we do have to remain focused, dignified, and civil–any action must be within the law and well organized. Second, I think we need to express ourselves articulately and without vile language so that others can hear us. We have to transform our anger into a positive, but committed message that resonates with but does not incite others. Third, we have to use the tools available through the mechanisms of democracy to make our case–lobbying, advertising, peaceful protests etc. If I have learned anything from Hillary it is how to remain gracious and dignified while remaining focused on the goal. She is a shining example to all of us on how to use language to reach people and send your message with passion and conviction, but without anger.
Finally, I am in the arts and I know how powerful a message can be when it is expressed through image, music, dance or drama. I think we could get some talented people together to create some art to make our case and send it to the people.
So, those are my thoughts for what they are worth. I look forward to participating in this organization. Best to all.

Hi all. I think what we need to do is contiue to campaign for her 2012 run like we have never stopped. We should continue to donate so she will have a cash cow going into the 2012 campaign run. We need to get really organized and start grassroots operations now. Of course we need to get mccain eleceted first, if Hillary isn’t on the ballot, so she can be in 2012. If BO gets in the White House, Hillary cannot run in 2012. So if it’s not now it has to be 2012 or it might not happen. What thinks all of you?

Today, is a big day for all of us Hillary supporters who believes in Democracy, every vote counts, the VOICE and WELFARE of the PEOPLE are the SUPREME LAW . There is no unity under no name who was selected by DNC from the start before we cast our first vote for primary. Only Hillary can unite the party as nominee, we will not take anything less than that. They will try their best to cajole us, persuade us, every trick in the book they can conjure to bring us to fall in line again. My answer to them is a BIG NO!

DNC and leaders of the Democratic party made a grieveous mistake when they’ve committed the biggest crime, USURPING WILL of the PEOPLE. Caucus is a good example of voters’ suppression which no name won handily by pouring money with the help of DNC.
Even if no name choose Hillary as his VP, I will never vote for him, to do so is to CONDONE his ACTIONS which is UNAMERICAN, UNDEMOCRATIC in every way.
Be firm, be strong, with your resolve never to fall in line with DNC; we must stand up what is right, what is just. WE, the people has POWER, our power is immense if we use it wisely as a group, that power is granted to us under the constitution and it is GUARANTEED, OUR RIGHT TO VOTE. I turned on CNN briefly yesterday and the very first words I heard were “deranged narcissist” Toobin’s, saying he’d been online looking at the Hillary sites and he was struck by all the VENOM, dismissing us all as “vicious” and as mostly women. Then he and McCafferty agreed that it’s not up to Obama to woo us — that it’s up to Hillary to make up come on board.
How clever, huh? They own *our* airwaves in order to lie to the people. Lie that we don’t have a legitimate issue, and setting it up to be “Hillary’s fault” if enough people see through the bs.

Also, how many people here have experience organizing marches? How many have been to a million-person march? I’ve done both. You do need permits. You want the cooperation with the police…especially the likes of Denver police…I would imagine they do NOT have the experience and patience with protesters that the DC/NYC/Boston police do. And anyone who was at the protest in NYC during the RNC in 2004 knows they can too arrest entire streets of people, simply NET them up and lock their wrists with those awful plastic ties and throw them in abandoned bus depots.
You do need a coalition of EXISTING groups, even if PUMA wants its message at the forefront. And, even then, how to get that message from being ignored or
distorted by the police? How many people know that NOW had 1.1 million women march on Washington a couple of years ago? The media completely ignored over 1 million women…as did the fauxgressive blogger boyz. It took a huge space and a lot of time to organize that many people into a slow march around a known route.
Finally, without NOW and some really heavy-duty organizing, how are these imagined “millions” going to even get to Denver? How will they even know anything is planned? How many can afford to fly? Even afford a bus? Afford to take time off? There is a history of people gathering in DC but Denver is not as accessible. There are a LOT of people already in the Northeast corridor. But in the Rockies?
I’m not against a large rally or march, but “just showing up” is not an option.
I would suggest we organize the same way move-on does. With local house parties. To show videos, and discuss ideas we can implement locally on a national level. Also, some of the most memorable protests have been vigils instead of rallies or marches. I remember one particularly effective one included an interactive map with details on all the cities around the world where vigils were taking place…later people could post what happened locally—how many showed up, etc….and the total international tally was kept track of on the central site.
You want something all of Hillary’s 18 million can participate in? Let people who can’t travel to Denver also be counted, also take a stand!

The only way to go is to vote McCain, your vote has to do something and staying home will help ensure BO gets in. Also the way the voting process works now is not democratic. One person-one vote. As I hear the media again saying Bill Clinton has to campaign for BO, I feel sickened as a black person. What pained me most throughout this campaign was how the Obama people and the MSM were able to paint and call President Clinton a racist. I think they owe The Clintons an apology. As a black woman, I never could understand many of the black people that started seeing on TV and how subjective they were with their opinions and how they could not defend The Clintons on race despite most of them being beneficiary of The Clintons legacy on race. I will not support BO until I hear somebody from that campaign categorically apologize and condemn all those who called The Clintons racist.

When I vote for President, I don’t vote party, I have always voted Independent. I want someone who will make the tough decisions, what’s best for America, not the party. Bill did this and I think that is why the DNC does not want the Clintons back in the White House.

Ahhh, ZEE — I have been tirelessly trying to find support for an all-out assault on the MSM. We have all read the blogs where it is suggested that we boycott the networks, but there needs to be something more in terms of numbers of us in order to make an impact. MSM knows we are disgusted, yet the same format continues. Even this morning, all I hear is what is expected of Hillary in terms of chucking it all and throwing her support to Obama — what she must say, what she must do, her body language, and how to control the audience response. It makes me want to puke! Anyway, I was working on a list of sponsors of CNN and MSNBC because I was going to write them and let them know that I would not be purchasing their products as long as they financed news coverage in a biased manner. Let’s face it — the media coronated Obama months ago. I would be willing to share the information here if the PUMAS feel this is a worthwhile effort. I say let’s hit the networks in the bank account. I also think we should all boycott Oprah who is willing to knock on doors for Obama, and we should boycott THE VIEW when Michelle Obama wants equal time as Cindy McCain had. The speech is being carried by CSPAN but they are also taking phone calls from Obama supporters and others who are calling in and telling everyone to get in line. There have been a few people who have said they will not vote for Obama. It seems like they are pushing Hillary for the Supreme Court. My question is: Why should we fall in line and vote for a candidate who is too inexperienced to be president? Doesn’t being American entail voting for conscience?

This is definitely coercion at the worst level, if we say we will not vote in Obama – they will tell us yes we will. The media is the worst because they are helping them by a refusal to tell the truth about how many of us that will not vote Obama that there are (Sites are poping up all over the place with defectors). The media and DNC is hoping the teenage clique thing will work here. It’s not working with the people who can see through the Kool-aide and there are a lot of us. I think I can see another tactic they are using. (someone let me know if this makes sense to them)Take a water pipe shaped like a (T). The bottom part of the (T ) is where the voters feed their votes into. Going up into the top part where it splits off into votes for Obama on one end and votes for McCain on the other. (This is how it will be if we can’t get Hillary in.) Now look at the line for the votes that are heading for McCain – the Obama people want to poke as many holes in the line as they can. So they poke one hole and siphon off people who will stay home, then they poke another hole and siphon off people who will write Hillary in (In some states this be a vote Obama instead) then they poke another hole and suggest we vote for some candidate that doesn’t have a chance of winning like Ron Paul. When they get so many holes poked in the pipe the only votes that are going to McCain is a slow trickle. That people- gets Obama in. We all know Hillary beats McCain and McCain beats Obama. The thing is no matter what we do we need to be unified to stop Obama.

CNN says ‘Clinton Concedes.’ I’m not sure that is really accurate if she has actually ‘suspended’ her campaign.
I was inspired by her grace throughout that speech. I can add that to all of the reasons why I continue to support her for president and will write her in on the ballot in November, if she files the appropriate paperwork so my vote will be counted. If she does not, I will be voting for someone other than Obama, who does not represent this African-American woman.

My husband just came in to tell me that he heard on the news that the McCain campaign is actively seeking a woman for the VP position. McCain is “proud to call Hillary my friend.” Wouldn’t it be great if he chose Carly Fiorina — she did such a great job at Hewlett Packard as CEO — really broke the barrier for women CEOs –and got screwed by a bunch of men on the board. This would be such a powerful message to the DNC — I love it!

We need to go forward with a strategy that is objective. I will attempt to contact the hispanic leader who supports Hillary in Texas, I know they mobilize fast and once they know about PUMA and its purpose they will join (this group is very loyal to Hillary). Murphy, Karla, anyone we need a to do list/task because we need to make every day count. I am in Indiana and would like to join/meet with others here on how we can get the word out.

She’s an investigative reporter for OPEDNEWS. She has all documented info. She has a five part series called “Curtains for Obama.” She said recently that none of the major media outlets have picked up her articles. She received about l000 requests from Senator Clinton supporters to forward it to various major outlets and representatives. She received confirmation that they were forwarded by the supporters. Yet not one mention anywhere. I found my own info in January 2008, after the name Rezko came up in the debates. If Obama isn’t worried about Rezko, then why did he have a staff member in court every day taking notes at Rezko’s trial. This was confirmed by a Chicago Sun Times reporter. Also, go to the Chicago Sun Times website, scroll down the left side to Rezko Trial, click on it, and you will find all the articles on Rezko going back to 2004. A lot of the articles contain info on Obama, too. The Republicans are going to have a field day. Our local newspaper took away our “Clinton” blog, so I requested starting an “Unaffiliated” blog. I’m waiting to hear from them. Strange that there’s only the Obama blog left on the newspaper. Suppression. I think we have to “Raise our Voices.”

I’ve just glanced through some of the posts .. here is my position. I will not under any circumstances vote for Barack Obama. My entire family is flipping and voting for John McCain. It saddens me to do this but I do believe he is an honorable man. To stay home in November will not help in my opinion because by staying home, it is a vote cast essentially for Obama. To write Hillary in is another vote lost and in my opinion this could give the election to Obama. To me.. there is nothing scarier than Barack Obama. He is not entirely vetted and what we do know about him should of put him out of the race.

Ed O’Reilly – the first primary challenger Sen. John F. Kerry has had since winning the seat in 1984 – threatens to give the junior senator a real tussle; one likely to keep the Democrats’ 2004 presidential nominee pinned down in Massachusetts and off the stump for the 2008 nominee, Barack Obama.
O’Reilly, 55, a Gloucester lawyer, has a sense of humor, a blue-collar background and a penchant for challenging authority. One of six kids who grew up in his dad’s World War II veterans’ housing unit, he’s been a factory worker, firefighter, lobsterman, bank teller, prison guard and city councilor. He worked his way through UMass-Amherst and the New England School of Law.
And though he’s sure to be outspent bigtime, O’Reilly may be right in his insistence that money isn’t everything in a race with so many angles.
Despite Kerry’s busing in supporters and “making robo calls to delegates” to last weekend’s Democratic state convention (trying to keep O’Reilly off the ballot), O’Reilly won almost 23 percent of the delegates, well over the 15 percent qualifying mark. Chris Gabrieli, for all his millions, barely squeaked by 15 percent in his quest for governor in 2006.
O’Reilly is the perfect messenger for all those disappointed Hillaryites, especially the women who want to show Kerry just how angry they are that he accepted women’s work to elect him to four six-year terms, but abandoned the first woman with a serious shot for president.
