Now More Than Ever

ready to pounce

These next few days will be trying. Hillary says she will be suspending her campaign on Saturday and supporting Obama for president. It is important that we not be discouraged. Suspending her campaign does not mean she has given up, merely that she has put the campaign “on hold.” I believe that Obama is so tainted by scandal and has been so damaged by his associations with unsavory figures that by the middle of July it will be clear that making him the nominee at the convention has become untenable.

It is more important than ever that we stay firm and motivated to fight. Please stay tuned here for updates on what we can do. Send a message to Senator Clinton, urging her not to give up the fight here. We will have an action update by the end of the day.

The convention is not until August 25. We need to make this a long, hot summer for the DNC.

This is an open thread. Please share your thoughts about what you want to fight for as a Puma. To login to the comments section to read other Pumas’ inspirations and to join the conversation yourself, click on “comments” below. If you are new to the site you will be asked to register. Again, welcome to all the new and energized Pumas who are rested and ready to pounce!

UPDATE, 6/6/08 at 12:38am: Welcome to all the new members and commenters. The response in the past two days has been phenomenal. If you have sent an email to join the Puma PAC today, don’t worry if you haven’t received a confirmation email reply yet. You are officially joined up — sending the email is all you need to do. We will be sending confirmations and email updates as soon as possible. Feel free to email or comment in threads with questions. I will reply.

Because of the troll infestation that swarms when I turn off moderation (geez, I wonder why the trolls are so desperate?), I am going to hold all comments for the next few hours so I can attend to some other matters (I mean get some sleep). If your comment doesn’t appear it has not been deleted or lost — it’s just being held. I’ll release them first thing in the morning.

Please visit the site often for updates and action alerts. Contribute if you can. Puma PAC is not simply a blog, it’s also a political action committee. The blog is our village square. Let’s get rolling!

YAY!!

Growl – here we are.

Now, we need to – corny as it sounds – not lose faith. Not give up hope. And not give in to sweet nothings from the ‘Bots. I will be cognizant of my history with Barry O-blah-blah. With his history with me. Of the history of Feminism.

And meanwhile, I will NOT go gently into the night. I will show that supporters of Hillary are still alive, relevant, critical. The 17,822,145 people who voted for Hillary can, and will, shake up the foundations of this nation.

If asked to support Obambi, I will brush the dirt off my shoulders.
If asked to make calls for Barry, I will insinuate racial motivations and say “I don’t play identity politics”.
If asked to campaign for O-Blah-Blah, I will say “I want to claw his eyes out”.
If asked to donate to the DNC, I will say “Try taking my income and reallocating it directly to his campaign, won’t you? You did that with thousands of votes in the primary!”
If asked to watch an ad released by Sweetie’s campaign, I will remember the ’1984′ ad released in June 2007 by the same people in the same campaign where they smashed Hillary’s face with a bottle and cheered.
If asked to vote for Senator Barack Obama, I will state I will not vote for a senator with barely a year of national political experience when one with decades was kicked off the stage to make way for him.
If asked to speak up for democracy, I actually, really, truly, will!

NO means NO, 0bama.
I will keep myself angry. Hungry. Motivated. I will now tell myself everyday, I WILL NOT FORGET.

Chevalier, the more the DNC hears that from us, the more cornered they will become.

I will not be part of a corrupt scheme to “appoint a president!” This is America for gods sakes! A democracy!

Not backing down.

Now that Hillary is resting for the fall, the media and the right-wing noise machine can turn their full blasts on Obama.

It aint gonna be pretty!

McCain is right, we need to stay in Iraq to support democracy and to make sure we have access to oil. We didn’t lose 4000 of our sons and daughters and 10′s of thousands of Iraqi lives to quit.

BO wants to give up and let Al Queda win! He is not a good American, we have to bring BO down.

McCain isn’t going to appoint conservative judges, he’s very independent minded. He won’t appoint people who would overturn Roe v. Wade, we have nothing to fear.

I have great health insurance. People who don’t have health insurance will be Ok until we can get Hilllary in in 2012.

Go Hillary, NOBAMA! Go McCain!

The DNC stole the election, the democratic party must be destroyed. Republican control of the presidency for another 20 years is the price they will have to pay for their foolishness.

#4 ProudMilitaryMom on 06.05.08 at 7:22 am

I am a PUMA! There is no way I will ever, ever, vote for Obama. I hope to God Hillary does not take the VP slot- she needs to stay as far away from that as possible.
I have been called a racist, a republican, uneducated, stupid, a hick clinging to my religion (hubby handles the guns part of that quote!)
Well, sticks and stones is the title of one of my blog posts. They can call me anything they want- what I call myself is an AMERICAN, and proud of it! I am an American first- a patriot!
Thomas Paine, Sam and John Adams and all the other patriots who risked their lives, their fortunes and thier sacred honor must be rolling over in their graves at what the DNC has doen to the dream they fought to bring to life!
No more manipulation! No more rigging votes! NO OBAMA! EVER!

Dan, Bush’s Iraq policy has been a disaster. Thousands of Americans have died under an incompetent commander. I have family members who have served in Iraq, Kuwait, Vietnam, and Cambodia. They deserve leaders who are competent, trustworthy and guided by DEMOCRATIC principles, NOT corporate interests.

We need a leader who can lead a way out of this mess. Hillary can do it.

Obama would be a disaster.

As new Puma democrats I think we need a forum, a way of discussing our policy in the Middle East that is sane and pragmatic. The fact is we are there. We have vital interests and resources there. How do we manage this in a democratic way?

Conversations for another day I suppose. Let’s get Hillary in so that day will come!

#6 MamaPuma on 06.05.08 at 7:33 am

I am a 62 year old attorney and software engineer who is a lifelong democrat and the mother of 2 daughters, 6 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. I will not be dominated, subjugated, marginalized or silenced by the main stream media’s and the Democratic party’s blatant, dewy-eyed, fleeting infatuation with an inexperienced, candidate who has repeatedly demonstrated his support of racism, elitism and cronyism while claiming to be post-race and above shenanigans.

#7 murphy on 06.05.08 at 7:34 am

oops, admin is me, Murphy. I sometimes forget which hat I’m wearing.

ProudMilitaryMom, love the handle! Agreed — no VP for Hillary. She needs to be president or wait for 2012. No compromises!

#8 USMCGrandma on 06.05.08 at 8:32 am

We’ve all been there – do all the work, and the boss takes the credit. That is what Hillary would be doing as VP, as Obama took all the credit. If Hillary tried to take the credit, she would be slammed for trying to “show up” Obama. The media is already calling me a racist, because I do not support that little pipskweak! I love how Obama supporters are portrayed as “college educated”. They are still in college! I have a PhD in Finance, and I’m being called an idiot, because I support Hillary Clinton. Who will be able to challenge anything Obama does as President? George W. the II. We are a Marine Corps family. My children are currently in the Corps, and my nephew is going in next year. My son-in-law was blown up 3 times in Iraq, and will never again be whole, physically or mentally. For what? The Saudis who control George W.? Obama was sheltered and pushed through just like George W. This tells me that he is backed by the same power. I worked the polls, and saw the machines change the votes for George W., and people allowed to sign twice on the same line to vote (two different people, signing as the same voter, and it being allowed). Where did our “free” country go? Why are these kids dying, if it isn’t for freedom? They are fighting for us, and we have to fight for them. Hillary Clinton is who this country needs, and who the military needs as commander (they have already backed her). We have to keep fighting. Even if Hillary can’t, we have to. How else can you get freedom back, once you have completely lost it, without civil war? We haven’t healed from the last one! (and maybe that’s the problem) I am not simply being dramatic; read your history. This is true with almost everything – rights, employees, clients – it is cheaper to retain them than to earn them back. I don’t know about you, but I’m strapped. I can’t afford to pay out anymore! We need to do whatever we can to keep our freedom!

#9 Ramsey54 on 06.05.08 at 11:22 am

USMCGrandma, You are absolutely right. Americans need to take a good look around and try to remember the last time we were truly free. We’re being sold out and so are our brave soldiers! We need Hillary in office as President, not vice president. I hope she steers clear of the Obama catastrophe. He is 9 miles of bad road!

#10 gokimfrommichigan on 06.05.08 at 11:33 am

I 2nd that MamaPuma i have 2 daughters, 1 son, 3 granddaughters & 2 grandsons my 4 year old granddaughter simply loves Hillary she chants “HILLARY CLINNNNTON HILLARY CLINNNTON~THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT” all day long her daycare told my daughter they never seen someone so young feel so strong about anyone but family!

My daughter responded thats because HILLARY is our family and we have 18 MILLION family members!!!!

#11 OHillary on 06.05.08 at 3:35 pm

And the media continues to use every negative adjective to fuel our anger, love it, love this and love what the Clintons have done for all the people!
See you in Denver!!!!

Hello, puma. It is so hard to find this website. I’ve looked at hillaryclintonforum.net, noquarter, hillaryclinton.com, they all have it as pumapac, but not the “blog” part in front of it. We need advertising here, so I will hit the blogs and spread the word and try to get it posted. There are two other sites I have found, Hillary Clinton Democrats for McCain was on fox news. And i think Dems4mccain? We need to get everyone under the same umbrella. What ever happened to the Clinton Supporters Count Too? They have been quiet. Obamabutts are over the place with their insults, they have crashed noquarterusa’s servers several times. We need to be careful here, they will attack here as well. Ok, so what is the first order of business? Obama’s defeat for sure, but I want to target Donna Brazille, who is not an elected official, but I still want her out of the DNC, and Nancy Pelosi. What do we know of the person running against her? Anything?

#13 AnnieSoCal on 06.05.08 at 4:29 pm

Hi blog…I am new here but love the site already!

I just heard on the news that Obama is now running the DNC and has chosen to still keep Dean on…..was that not predicable? There is also information now starting to surface that an Obama Presidency would most certainly result in a stock market crash. Simply put – he cannot become President.

I wrote Senator Clinton and suggested she not go for the VP slot so that when Senator Obama looses, he will not have her to blame!

#14 Lauraredwoods on 06.05.08 at 4:49 pm

Yes She Will
I Love You Hillary

#15 Lauraredwoods on 06.05.08 at 7:53 pm

I mean of course Yes She Will be President!
And I will never, never vote for nobama or mccain

#16 lotts1948 on 06.05.08 at 8:31 pm

NO MEANS NO .. FOREVER.

I will not support Obama. Senator Clinton is the only candidate for me who represents me; obviously us. I am so happy to hear about this site. My letter to Mob Boss Dean is on its way!!!!

#17 Pm on 06.05.08 at 8:48 pm

Dem Party Bosses are in bed with media bosses.
I’m a puma and a new independent. I’ll vote Mccain just to keep the door open for Hillary in 2012.
I’m angry, independent and won’t give up my vote to those putting in the fix!
P.S. what the heck is a troll?

#18 bluegrasstrina on 06.05.08 at 9:15 pm

I just recieved a post from the Rapid Response Team about an article in the Boston Globe and they wanted us to post, Did anyone else recieved this? I am excited, why are we still doing this if it’s over??????????

#19 bluegrasstrina on 06.05.08 at 9:19 pm

I also recieved another post from the DNC asking for money to fight McCain . I once again clicked unsubscribe and fired off a reason why I no longer want to recieve emails from them. Also, I called their office to ask them to stop sending me emails, the woman I talked to was bored to tears, she could have cared less that I was doing this. She then said she would take care of it, and before I hung up, I asked her if she wanted to know why, and she replied “if you want to tell me then I guess I do” I could not believe her!!!! I let her know in no uncertain terms what I thought about her and her party’s treatment of Hillary and stealing the nomination from her. I was so ticked!!!

#20 Genevieve on 06.05.08 at 9:35 pm

PM,

A troll is an Obama supporter tapping into our blogs trying to convince us to unite or ask questions to start debates-We all know how they need us to win in Nov. Last night Obama said he needs President Clinton to win! Imagine the audacity!

#21 TexasTigress on 06.05.08 at 9:55 pm

Never in my life did I think I would EVER agree with Ann Coulter but when she said , “By contrast, there are no constitutional rules to follow with party primaries. Primaries are specifically designed by the parties to choose their strongest candidate for the general election.

Hillary’s argument that she won the popular vote is manifestly relevant to that determination. Our brave Hillary has every right to take her delegates to the Democratic National Convention and put her case to a vote. She is much closer to B. Hussein Obama than the sainted Teddy Kennedy was to Carter in 1980 when Teddy staged an obviously hopeless rules challenge at the convention. (I mean rules about choosing the candidate, not rules about crushed ice at after-parties.) ” She’s absolutely RIGHT ! Why is it , all of the sudden, so WRONG to have a floor vote ? This is the Democratic Party for crap sakes ! This Party is famous for our convention fights . I think we should give them one whether they want one or not . 18 million people voted for our candidate and we are not going away or falling in line !

#22 TexasTigress on 06.05.08 at 10:01 pm

bluegrass, do you have the Boston Globe link or know the article?

#23 bluegrasstrina on 06.05.08 at 10:32 pm

Boston Globe (MA): A game of political hardball, Clinton-style

By Joan Vennochi

HILLARY’S WOMEN have a choice to make.

Do they stick with their party and the candidate who reminds them of every man who got the raise and promotion before they did? Or, do they switch to the Republican nominee who reminds them of the dad with whom they disagree, but respect?

If Barack Obama picks Hillary Clinton as his running mate, the choice is easy: Obama-Clinton in November. If he selects another Democrat, it could get more complicated.

Without Hillary on the ticket, can a Clinton supporter seamlessly transfer loyalty to Obama, who is likable enough, unless he slips and calls her “sweetie”?

Or, is “sweetie” automatically preferable to John McCain’s response to a female supporter who asked the Arizona senator back in November, “How do we beat the bitch?” As the room erupted in laughter, McCain replied: “That’s an excellent question.”

On Tuesday night, Obama and McCain lavished praise on Clinton, the loser with the power that comes with winning nearly 18 million votes over the long primary season. The two rivals covet Clinton’s constituency, so both gushed over the candidate who put it in play.

“As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach,” said McCain.

Obama said, “Senator Hillary Clinton has made history in this campaign not just because she’s a woman who has done what no woman has done before, but because she’s a leader who inspires millions of Americans with her strength, her courage, and her commitment to the causes that brought us here tonight.”

Their groveling means one thing: leverage. Clinton has it, and she’s using it to play political hardball, just like any man would do.

For once, her leverage has nothing to do with being Bill Clinton’s wife. As Clinton vies for the second spot on the Democratic ticket, her power is rooted in the campaign she waged on her own behalf, in the millions of men and women who chose Clinton over Obama and are now up for grabs.

If voting were purely scientific, Obama could expect many Clinton supporters to swiftly get behind him after contemplating his stand versus McCain’s on issues like Iraq, healthcare, abortion, taxes, and education. But voting isn’t completely rational, as proven by the outcome in 2004.

Already there are some danger signs for Obama when it comes to inheriting Clinton’s voter base.

A recent report from the Pew Research Center attributed a slip in Obama’s favorable rating to a negative reaction from frustrated Clinton supporters, especially women. Currently, just 46 percent of those who supported Clinton said the party will unite behind Obama if he is the nominee. In March, 58 percent of Clinton supporters said the party would rally behind Obama. Just 43 percent of white women who were surveyed expressed a positive opinion of Obama. That is down from 56 percent in late February.

If Clinton isn’t on the ticket, Obama must consider the possibility that a chunk of Clinton’s supporters will stay home, write in Clinton – or even vote for McCain.

That’s probably a smaller risk than Clinton loyalists wish to believe.

In theory, the straight talker could beat the smooth talker.

However, watching McCain labor through Tuesday night’s speech from New Orleans was a reminder of the Republican’s inherent weakness as a candidate.

The 71-year-old senator looks his age. He delivered a pedestrian speech in pedestrian fashion, choosing to attack Obama rather than make his own compelling case for the presidency. It has been a long time since McCain participated in a face-to-face debate with a rival. When he does, he will have to guard against the surliness and sarcasm that marred previous outings.

And those weaknesses don’t even address his support for keeping troops in Iraq and his opposition to abortion rights.

Clinton has leverage, and so do the women who back her. They should use it, not to spite, but to fight for what they say they believe in.

#24 HillarywasROBBED on 06.05.08 at 10:42 pm

Obama used the war to get the sympathy vote, or those who are disillusioned by war! I have talked with MANY MANY military men and women and their families the LAST thing they want is for what they have sacrificed to be in VAIN! Obama says one thing, his voting record is quite another, but for some odd reason he attracts those who don’t think outside the box, who fail for whatever reason to CHECK his RECORD! TRUE Hillary VOTED to ALLOW BUSH to GO IN to INSPECT, and use force if necessary, at the time she was voting based on the same intelligence the President had! SHE was not the only one! OBAMA did NOT vote for the WAR because HE WAS NOT EVEN IN THE SENATE! PEOPLE fail to see this CLEAR fact! I pulled up a list of those who voted for and against the original legislation for going into Iraq….BARRACK OBAMA’S name was NOT on the LIST! BECAUSE he was NOT even in the Senate! When he ran for the Senate he gave an “anti war speech” this was GIVEN AFTER some things had started to go wrong, like with all wars, nothing goes perfect! HE did it to WIN votes, BUT it was IN HINDSIGHT! AND we all know that is 20/20. Now, fast forward: 2006, OBAMA VOTES to KEEP troops IN IRAQ!!!! WAIT….MR. Anti-war? COULD take a stand then, and vote to bring them home? AND YET he voted to keep them there! AGAIN…its IN HIS RECORD! You need to have some intelligence to sort through the propaganda sites, but then his voting record is CLEAR, voted TWICE for the PATRIOT ACT, voted to EXTEND NAFTA into CUBA and REGIONS, voted for funding of the war! Obama is the great pretender! He tells you exactly what to think, the ONLY problem is HE doesn’t think without speech writers and teleprompts! HRC got down and dirty with the BEST of them, she is as tough as nails, and she faced each challenge head on! He didn’t like to debate, the commentators were “too hard” on him! AND yet she with grace and elegance reminiscent of Jackie Kennedy faced her audiences be it friend or adversary! I am looking now to John McCain the war hero, to bring some calm and direction, and I am geared to see Senator Clinton again in 2012, where ALL Democrats will fall behind her knowing she was ROBBED of the opportunity in 2008!

#25 HillarywasROBBED on 06.05.08 at 11:14 pm

And those weaknesses don’t even address his support for keeping troops in Iraq and his opposition to abortion rights.

sadly, it is obvious the Obamabots are out in force, trying to pretend to be “Clinton” supporters just like we all are, they are easy to recognize because they use loaded statements like the ONE above! Abortion WILL NEVER be MADE illegal! Hillary Clinton wanted to teach more education and prevention, Obama is totally indifferent to any women and their HARD decision to have to terminate a pregnancy, like he said he doesn’t want his girls “PUNISHED with a BABY” even women who have to use abortion as an option are NOT happy about it, but ONLY a WOMAN would know this! John McCain knows that leaving Iraq high and dry without any PLAN is NOT a PLAN! He is military through and through! Obama has less military experience than George Bush! NEVER once has McCain gotten involved in an abortion debate, he probably will not because abortion is low on the list of priorities, but the Obamabots use it to ineffectively push buttons, McCain says his primary focus will be on the AMERICAN ECONOMY! AND I know we all are concerned with that! AND certainly more so than the economy of Africa! RIGHT now strategists say it will take 10% of us moving to McCain and I see it as being about 3 times or more than that! We will defeat Obama and send the clearest message of all that you can NOT overturn the will of the VOTERS and then COUNT on those same VOTERS to bail you out! HRC! AND NOW MCCAIN!

HEY THERE, PEOPLE ! Glad to be here & will spread the word of this website…..

I am from Illinois. Have you-all heard that obama’s friend and associate Tony Rezko was found guilty in Federal Court in Illinois yesterday, guilty of 16 of 24 counts of fraud & money-laundering for Pay-to-Play Politics ? Our Democratic Party will probably not retain the Governorship next election, thanks to this Rezko, ‘ole obama’s friend.

What other things could be lurking in closets just trying to bust out and become public ???? It’s a LOOOONG time until August……..

#27 ChangeTheDNCLeadershipNOW on 06.06.08 at 12:06 am

Furthermore…….

in what effective way can we hold accountable—or punish—-the we-know-who-they-are Media sources that gave obama a “Free Pass” and also unethically ran Hillary down at every turn ????

Any ideas, like “JUST TURN THE TV CHANNEL” or “JUST TURN THE TV OFF” might be effective, to impair their beloved ratings.

I’m so happy I found PUMA. We have five months to endure and will need each others support and ideas. I really don’t mind trolls they just strengthen my resolve and argument. Most trolls show their ignorance when confronted with a rational comment anyway. What I mind is that we are ignored and not taken seriously hopefully this PAC, movement or whatever it will become may change that response. It is over for Hillary for 2009, so now its time for plan B. Maybe four years from now Hillary will be back and we will have a victory but we can’t stop fighting now.

#32 MountainSong on 06.06.08 at 12:27 pm

A boycott of MSM generally and it’s advertisers specifically might go a long way toward conveying our message that we “aren’t buying it” (tongue in cheek).
Obama is just too phony for words and AS phony as HIS words. His wife reeks of predjudiced racism so much it makes me gak just to look at a picture of her.
Yes, I believe this is going to be a long, hot summer and hopefully this entire country will have come to it’s senses and realize we are facing perilous times, economically, socially and politically and engaged in a struggle for our very survival. I truly believe that a Obama Presidency would lead us into destitution. A denial, not just of Obama, but also of Oprah and her finacial support would be helpful.
If voting for McCain is the only truly effective solution, then so be it, but there are other more pleasant solutions such as Hillary keeping all her delegates and popular vote support and staying in.
Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party makes more sense in terms of economic and politcal sanity than Nobama, McCain, and yes, even Hillary. But I don’t think he could garner enough votes and would take votes away from an effective defense against Nobama.
I thank God for this site and the opportunity it gives us to turn this spark of resistance against MSM, DNC and Nobama into a raging forest fire of true patriotism.

#33 Newcatontheblock on 06.06.08 at 2:37 pm

Obama is right about change we need a complete overhaul of the Democratic Party with heads rolling from the top down. I loved Hillary’s I will consider being VP for the good of the party”. Now the ball is in Obama’s court does he really want party unity or not? He really can’t rationally squirm out and blame Hillary for not doing everything to unite the party. Hillary has given it her best shot, she even offered to take a job many politicians don’t want for the good of the party. That said I really don’t want Hillary running for VP. Obama doesn’t deserve her as a running mate. It would be like Einstein being an assistant to a first year physics student.

I need a little help here. (This may be perceived as “trolling” just because I’m not in lockstep with most people here, but please read it, then decide, Murphy.)

First, I supported and continue to support Hillary Clinton as the best candidate to lead this country. I do that because I agree with nearly all of her domestic and international policy positions.

Second, I’m angry at how she has been treated by a corrupt party organization.

Here’s where I need help. If she were the nominee (and there is still some chance this may happen), she would be beating McCain’s brains out now, and doing a damned fine job of it. He is against what she is for, and vice versa.

I cannot translate my anger at the DNC, or my dislike of
Obama supporters’ stupidity, or my policy disagreements with Obama himself, into support of McCain, who is about as anti-Hillary as you can get on every major policy stance.

I once voted for Perot, just to try to move the Democrats farther away from the Republicans, so I understand a protest vote, but more of Bush-like mismanagement of the country…frankly it scares me. That’s why I’m currently planning to vote for Nader or some other political non-entity.

#36 oscarp on 06.06.08 at 4:26 pm

I used to post in the huffingtonpost, but I guess I am blocked from entering LOL LOL, after joining this site I put the link there, still don’t know if they published it, but is is the biggest pro-Obama show in town!!!
I believe we should let people know of this site, so let’s spread the word!

#37 positivenergy on 06.06.08 at 6:07 pm

It is sad to have witnessed the biggest debacle of another one of those “unifying” Democractic primaries. They just have not learned their lesson, being too controlling of the voters. Their leadership has early on called for the primaries to end, refused to honor the votes, and tossed their noses into the air.

We will not be pushed around anymore. I changed my party to Independent (joined Lou Dobbs) and will vote for a candidate other than the DNC candidate.

#38 nomorednc on 06.06.08 at 8:13 pm

This whole 2008 DNC primary process has been in the works for a long time. Hillary never had full support of the DNC and they thought she would back-out sooner than she did. We believe Hillary knew this and needed to show that she does not quit that easy.

Well, we will never vote for Obama, not because we support Hillary, but because he is not qualified, arrogant and a fraud. We will vote for the green party if it is on the ballot. Voting for Obama is to condone the undemocratic process of 2008. It is giving approval to sexism, false claims of racism, disenfranchise of voters and degradation of two great political individuals, who served well for the benefit of all, CLINTONS.
We did not desert the DNC party, they deserted us.

#39 Asian4Hillary on 06.06.08 at 8:56 pm

We CAN change DNC, but first, we MUST vote out of office those who endorsed Obama, from the people in Congress and Senate all the way to local level like our governor. These people who have tasted power has the notion WE the people are ONLY good during election time, after that, we are meaningless, invisible to them.

#40 murphy on 06.06.08 at 9:07 pm

Hey All, comments back on. Great to read all the new commenters. Working on a post now about our plans for tomorrow.

Obama must not be elected. Anyone who has done what he’s done regarding church attendance, purchasing his house through a convicted felon, cocaine use, etc. will be worse than Bush and destroy us all. I’m so glad I found this blog. I want to buy bumper stickers: “I’m one of the 18,000,000″ and “NOBAMA” Can you buy them yet?

Obama (his Hopepac ) gave $$$ to all of the NH and Iowa Democratic Congressional delegates years ago. In other words, he paid for their endorsements. Pretty smart, eh? He started the primary campaign ahead of everyone because of $$. Shame on the people who accepted the donations and then endorsed him!

Hello, everyone. I’m so glad to have this site to turn to. I received 2 emails that made me SIGH today. One from WesPAC (Wesley Clark’s site) and one from Emily’s List site. Both were encouraging subscribers to now come together in support of BO – to defeat John McCain. I “unsubscribed” to both. How quickly they’re all turning … I guess it really is politics as usual, huh?

I will NEVER vote for BO. ever. period. I am so disgusted with this whole MESS. I won’t forget how the DNC and many unDemocrats treated Hillary and all of us. I will remember who helped to annoint BO and work to vote them out of office.

I will keep emailing superdelegates and MSM to let them know how I feel. Not that they care …

I am relieved to have withdrawn my affiliation to the unDemocratic Party. I will absolutely, positively vote for Senator McCain in November (unless a miracle happens and Hillary wins at the convention). I hope that millions of other disenfranchised Americans will do the same thing. Right now, it feels like the only way to make a statement that will finally be heard.

Thanks for listening!

Good to see my friends on PUMA. Yes, the OB campaign started at the last Democratic Convention when he gave the “oratory” of the century. I think the river started running then within the DNC (Howard Dean and company). I can say that my two women Senators kept with Hillary and I still haven’t heard if they’ve changed. They are great leaders for our state and superb politicians who are faithful to their principles and values (Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray). I’ll support them both now and in the future. I’m sending the card to Hillary as requested (18 million) with a handwritten letter. I left the DNC three months ago, state and local party as well. Having been a local elected official, it did send some waves through the local party. They knew my departure was based on women’s issues and how women have been treated by the Party. Concerning politician accepting donations from Ob, they probably accepted donations from Hillary as well. That’s commonly done. The bigger issue is getting elected back into office especially if you are someone on the ballot at the same time a presidential election is happening. Politics on the local level is a much freer exercise in decision making, but not at the state and local level. One does as the Party tells you too. So, these endorsements are at that level. Since I’ve been out of office, I’ve learned a lot about what politics does to a person. Some of it was good and some not so good. It’s a tight line to walk. One has to be strong and stand up for your personal convictions, yet weigh the importance of the voters that elect you. At the local level, its much easier to get feedback and work with the will of the people. I, too, had a great deal of difficulty with the anti-woman attitude, both from the inside and in the general public. It was always there. One of the first things I learned was not to “cry” in public or show any kind of overt compassion (which was totally opposite of who I was). So I found ways to show the human side with people on an individual basis and it worked. When I watched Hillary, I knew that she had found that skill a long time ago. Her eyes always show her emotions. One has to walk in the shoes a bit of a person who is going through similar situations. You can tell she is having fun. It’s going to take awhile for her to readjust. So let us give her some time since it seems not too many others are in Washington D.C. I look forward to hearing her tomorrow and I’m sure I’ll CRY!

Who exactly “officially” nominated Obama as the Democratic Party’s Presidential candidate?

Nobody.

Any “official” victory is reserved for the convention.

For now, Obama has “won” the nomination by virtue of a pronouncement -of little legal value- by the DNC, which is

based on the illogical “promises” made by unpledged delegates, to vote in Obama’s favor come Denver.

Obama is being called the “victor” because fifty or so such individuals, came out in his favor on

Tuesday/Wendensday.

Even Obama supporters, no matter how delusional, can agree that his victory in Montana and any delegates gained in

South Dakota, had absolutely nothing to do with such pronouncements.

Why some unpledged delegates decided to make convention promises in Obama’s favor, following Montana and South

Dakota should be considered both a mystery, and a puzzle – while it’s logic, should cause outrage.

Think about it. Who won the popular vote, the resulting pledged delegate majority, and the most diverse and broadest

voter coalition in American history?

Clinton.

Who is now claiming the “nomination” in total oblivion of such facts?

Obama.

Who gave Obama this promissory nomination, and on what grounds?

Fifty or more unpledged delegates. Grounds – none.

When did they do it?

After a string of Clinton victories which asserted both her coalition, and her majority.

1) No matter what portion of the “uncommitted” popular vote from Michigan you give Obama, Clinton won the Democratic

popular vote. The smaller the “uncommitted” portion you give him, the smaller Clinton’s margin, but we can go from a

sliver of 50,000 votes in her favor, to more than 250,000.

2) More important than the overall popular vote, for the purposes of the DNC and party unity, is the number of

“Democratic” popular votes that Clinton clinched vs Obama. In early primaries and caucuses, Obama secured anywhere

from 60 % to 80 % from cross-over Republicans. By the time of Rush Limbaugh’s pointless “Operation Chaos” – this

Republican vote still favored Obama, but by much smaller margins. It is safe to conclude that Clinton secured a

popular Democratic vote majority of at lest half a million (500,000) , and a maximum of one and a half million

(1,500,000), over Obama. Taken in perspective, this is nearly double the popular vote victory margin Bush achieved

over Kerry in 2004.

3) Back to point number 1, Clinton secured more popular votes, even with the caucuses double-counted in Obama’s

favor, because the maximum number of popular votes Obama can reasonably claim from Michigan’s “uncommitted,” is 75%,

which gives Clinton a net 6,000 popular vote majority over Obama even with caucuses double-tallied in his favor.

It was like a nightmare — she kept winning all of the big states and he kept ignoring it and acting like he was the nominee — I felt he was some sort of a disease that you coudn’t get rid of — and then media droning on and on about Obama Obama Obama — even on nights that she won big. i felt like I was living in a parallel universe. At least that part is over and we can get on with what we have to do.

Thank you , I am happy to join and glad this site is here.
The show “Reliable Sources” was just on CNN and I am disgusted to watch more Hillary bashing. It really angers me to hear Byron say something similar to “Why not kick Hillary around ?” I thought this man is clueless ? I could see an dislike for Hillary in his eyes. It was so disrespectful . I will never vote for Obama for many reasons.

I had an idea but I dont know if its any good…

we could start our own youtube channel.

members here (and on other pro-hillary sites) could post videos on various subjects. Things like: why obama is NOT the people’s choice, why Hillary IS the STRONGER candidate, perhaps videos urging Hillary not to give up, videos telling her supporters that a movement has started and that we will be victorious…things like that…

idk, its just an idea.

Is it a good idea to work on ousting
the present DNC?
They created the biggest mess in the
history of this party.
They will ignore our emails and
fight against us tooth and nail.

Have you heard yesterdays FoxNews saying the Mr O has enlisted some of George Bush’s millitary advisors responsible for Shock and Awe. So besides his voting record as senator, what does that tell you? Remember too, that all this time, when media was saying how can anyone beat the Clinton machine, that it was the 0-Team that was employing them. So in effect, Mr O *IS* the Clinton machine gone haywire in support of BarryO

Who gave Obama this promissory nomination, and on what grounds?]

To quote from my own Forum, I will spell it out for you:

TED KENNEDY’S FAMILY LEGACY.

Because in 1968, the year RFK was killed, he predicted that in 40 years this country will be ready for a black President. So when the candidates agreed not to talk about race or gender it was a set up all along.

This was never about Bill Clinton’s legacy as media has been misleading us to believe…. it has been about Ted Kennedy and his family’s.

Could someone answer this for me: Weren’t SuperDelegates originally set up either in 1984 or 1988 to help resolve any issues or to resolve a tie, but AT THE CONVENTION itself.

I am trying to how Howard Dean had the audacity to insist that Supers make their decision early on even before the last 7-11 primaries were over.

Guess what I am asking is: was that in the DNC rules or did he just make that one up, the same way the made up a rule that stole 64 delegates and gave them to a man who didn’t even have his name on the Michigan ballot.

My apologies for so many posts…
I will try to refrain.

Like so many of you I have so much built up and was not able to express my views on the official Hillary site.

#54 cosmeta on 06.10.08 at 3:06 pm

MSNBC just aired a Press Conference called, a United Press Confernce” in which Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi spoke. The two of them finanally giving credit to Hillary Clinton. Dean saying the party is united and briefly called off the party’s agenda against McCain; including a 50 state stragegy, becasue he said, the previous primary season has proved it can be done and was very helpful. Pelosi saying Hillary proved that it was possible to elect a woman President.

Do they really think we will believe their hypocracy?

It has not aired on CNN or ForxNews yet so you might have time to catch it if you ever get to this post.
