We will be sending confirmations and email updates as soon as possible. Feel free to email or comment in threads with questions. I will reply.
Because of the troll infestation that swarms when I turn off moderation (geez, I wonder why the trolls are so desperate?), I am going to hold all comments for the next few hours so I can attend to some other matters (I mean get some sleep). How many of you are up for sending a moving truck to help Donna Brazile in her exit from the undemocratic Democratic Party? One time, some buddies played a joked on our school’s Guidance Counselor who was well known in the area. They placed an ad in the classifieds that EVERYBODY was invited and encouraged to come to a party on certain day, date, and time to celebrate his birthday. A lot of people showed up and the GC was FURIOUS! I still chuckle about this and remember how they got the best of him because he could not figure out exactly who did it? Wouldn’t that be fun, or would it be illegal. I am sorry, the one thing I can not stand is a hyocrit[e?] and Donna is the biggest.

I have a feeling that something is up. But then again, I don’t want to be so disappointed again. I have been a mess over this. I get so angry at how she’s been treated by Obama, his groupies, the elected officials supporting him, the DNC, the news media and the list goes on and on. The DNC does not want our votes, they do not care how we feel, nothing. I am just one old woman who loves clinging to my gun and religion. I guess I’ll just sit back and rock in my rocking chair until Hill makes a move. I have gone over to the McCain site, nice bunch of people on there. Very nice. Will be voting McCain if I can’t vote for Hillary.

Which reminds me: a commenter on some blog the other day earnestly asked why I would withhold my vote if BO was the nominee, because weren’t the Republicans really bad on women’s issues. My response was that I now considered, to paraphrase Gore Vidal, that the Democrats and Republicans are the two wings of the Patriarchy party.
Gore Vidal, by the way, commented on the radio a couple of months ago that Obama was “slick as a weasel.”

Donna Brazile… I got blacklisted from every site around because I posted Brazile’s personal web site link (to sell her book) which had a video of a minister doing a similar kind of ranting as Wright and the Priest… that was 7 months before the Wright Story even broke ago.
(She was supposedly staying neutral) my blog was simply “Neutral? Really? with the link.
She got flooded with mail about it, pulled the video off her site, and went off the air for two weeks.
I learned my lesson not to mess with a msm “Neutral” commentator/superdelegate.

I hope everyone here has room for a life long Republican who was so inspired by Hillary I was going to vote Democrat for the first time.
I don’t know how many people here are like me, but I can say that all middle class southern republicans I know don’t discuss politics publicly.
I made this post on HC.com and want to share it here. About 3 weeks ago at a Sunday family dinner my mother, out of the blue, said, “I’m just going to go ahead and say it….I’m voting for Hillary!” We all just looked at her and next thing you know we all admitted we were also voting for her. Since then I have found out that just about every republican I know was going to vote for Hillary. My son was so taken with her he officially changed his party to Democrat.
I have a suspicion that even though they won’t come out and say it….there are millions of republicans in this country who were going to vote for Hillary.
I am angered and disgusted at the underhanded tactics that have been dealt to her. We are all changing our party affiliation to Independent. We all hope that something will happen to make BO go down.
I just can’t vote for BO and neither can anyone I know. We don’t trust him. We feel like he has a hidden agenda. We feel his first loyalty is not to this country.
I do NOT agree with all of McCain’s policies, but at least I know he is a patriot. Though I would rather vote for Hillary I will vote for McCain if it comes to that. I will not vote for BO even if Hillary is his VP.
Hope this wasn’t too long of a post. I just wanted to introduce myself and also thank you for this site. I look forward to working with everyone.
Regarding the “tape…” One of the things I read is that Michelle Obama didn’t really say “whitey” on the tape, but “why’d he,” as in “why did he,” referring to George Bush. Does anybody know anything more about this?
By the way, thanks for starting this website–it might be the key to my keeping my sanity for the weeks to come. I DID call the HRC headquarters this afternoon and they were still saying that she is only suspending her campaign–NOT conceding–and will hold onto her delegates.

I will not be voting for Obama this fall, partly on his own merits (or lack thereof) and partly because I don’t like how the nomination was handed to him by the media and the DNC. As I live in West Virginia (which will go for McCain anyway), I will be writing in Hillary Clinton. I will not chose between these two evils, and I will not settle for less.
I know longer get email from Dean. I sent several replies to his “joke” email and told him until my vote was counted he wasn’t getting a nickel out of me and to stop sending me emails. So far, so good!

Hello everyone, here I come from Michiana (where Michigan and Indiana meet). Since I live in one (Michigan, the state with the largest number of disenfranchised voters!) and work in the other, I thought I should represent this area of the country.
Much as I would wish to support Hillary Clinton, even in her capitulation, I cannot do so. I will not vote for Obama. I will either vote against him by voting for McCain, or I will write in Hillary’s name on the ballot.
I have tried to keep an open mind towards Obama, but I just don’t trust him. We all know that he hasn’t been vetted, not to mention the despicable way he has treated Hillary during the campaign. I believe he is dishonest, just a regular but very smart politician trying to make everyone believe that he is a transcendent candidate.

I’ve know for a long time that Axelrod was a sleazeball. He’s been entwined in Chicago politics for years. Need I say more? He’s responsible for disqualifying or eliminating all of Obama’s opponents in his previous campaigns. I know this is silly, but the first time I saw him I told my son that he reminded me of a child-molester:) Now I think it everytime I see him.
I doubt that the story you posted about will have much impact, although it should. I’ve never seen anything like the way the MSM refuses to cover the cesspool that is Obamanation! As a blogger from the other side and canvassed and blogged newspapers, and donated, and drove other senior citizens as myself to the polling booths, and took polls, and sent letters to Pelosi, Dean, Reid, DNC and signed petitions – I am a Hillary supporter and in my 86 years I have never seen a better candidate than Hillary – I know many of my counterparts do not want her to run as VP – but I have a different perspective than any of the rest – I feel like if he ended up as President – and not Hillary – although I do believe in a miracle that will happen and it will be her – but just for the sake of saying if he was elected over McCain – and she was the VP – within 6 months they would have him impeached for not being able to live up to his WORDS – and guess who the President would be – Our HIllary.

Hello Friends. My family and I am through with the Democratic party. The way Sen. Clinton was treated by our own party was disgusting. Also, I have spent months reading the appallingly nasty comments of Obama supporters on the news threads. It is really bizarre that these same Democrats who have spent this primary season recirculating every ugly right wing lie about the Clintons and creating new smears (the Clintons are racists) now attack Clinton supporters who are going to vote for McCain as “not real Democrats”. I just signed on because I’m still devastated that Hillary is suspending her campaign. My eyes literally keep welling up with tears. I’m a mess! I’m glad there’s a support system like this to turn to. In a way, it almost feels like I’m losing a best friend. I’ve just felt so close to Hill these past few months.
Greta is on and quoted that Hillary and Obama were meeting right then……….unscheduled, even campaign people did not know about it………complete change of plans. Then a man in the field came on and said that the Clinton’s were inside their house and that she had not gone out and no one had gone in…………..Greta wondered if there was a back door……………………Obama changed his plans. It sure is late to be meeting, must be something important.
One tough guy, said that it would not be about VP that she had shot the little hope there had been for that, Greta spoke of how we have sent emails that said we were not to vote for Obama………then came out and said that not only were we not going to NOT vote for Obama that we were going to go over to the other side. She seemed to indicate that there were a great number of the emails and had been for months now. There was great excitement and anticipation in her voice – it broke on her show.
Was it a meeting to tell her to sit down and shut up; and as one male guest said something to the effect that he must be stern with her now and show her who is in charge. Greta said….she has 18 million reasons he may want to be nice to her essentially………..

I wish I could agree, but who would impeach him? You’d be hard pressed to find anyone in the Democratic majority leadership. They’re all backing him . I doubt they’ll be willing to let go of their little puppet and have Hillary take the reigns. They can’t control her. That’s what this entire primary has really been about. They can’t control her!

I’ve been reading all the posts, and I’ve been thinking….. What about instead of voting for John McCain, we put all our support behind Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate?
Here’s my logic: The libertarian party is the most viable third party right now, and it sends a message that we Clintonistas are dissatisfied with both of our other “mainstream” alternatives. And I think his values approximate Hillary’s more than McCain’s. If a third party does well now, than an Hillary’s independant bid in 2012 will seem that much more feasible….

Me too, Geeklove! I truly believe we need to consider the possibility that the Democratic party won’t be “fixed”. Have any of you read “The Shift”? It’s a great book. Very timely. It’s about the emergence of a Centrust party. The best of Dems and Rep’s. Where the two parties centrist meet. I believe it is time. We need a party that determines the nomination solely on popular vote. Next we’d work on ensuring the general election’s electoral process works as it was initially supposed to. We cannot go on like this.

OK, so… what’s the plan, and count me in. I personally will not, under any circumstances vote for BO regardless of his running mate. The way this whole thing came down revolted me. Starting in January when BO told some reporter that he would get all of Hillary’s supporters, without even asking me for it! I literally revolted at his arrogance. He knew he had it in the bag then.
But perhaps the biggest assault to my senses is the condescending arrogance of his followers. Every night, night after night, acting as if he is the messiah, and getting that pinched nose look as if something smelled bad everytime any one had anything positive to say about any other candidate. Especially about my darling Hillary!!
Don’t even get me started on the media. They were the worse by far in propelling this sleazy polecat up my nose.
I haven’t decided what I am going to do yet. But I do hope that Hillary doesn’t align herself with him in any way. I think she is to savvy for that. Surely she knows we await her return!

I don’t know, I just don’t feel comfortable supporting McCain. I just keep remembering how he said Janet Reno was Chelsea Clinton’s father. It was simultaneously sexist, homophobic, and cruel to a teenage girl. I can never forgive McCain for that.
That’s why I think Bob Barr might be a better alternative. I think it sends a strong message that Hillary supporters will not tolerate any man who disparages Hillary Clinton.

I don’t know how to link, but you have to read it. It is about the new DNC no lobby money plan. The writer calls it Furfurp.
Here’s just a tiny part….
Here’s the brilliant part of the DNC’s new Furfurp: while the DNC convinces voters that it is fighting corruption, the DNC will — in fact — still be vacuuming up oodles of cash (albeit indirectly) from lobbyists, PACs, and corporations run by people who would knock down their grandmother with a sledge hammer if she stood between them and a pot of money.
Sigh. Now I’m hearing people say things like: “The Furfurp is dishonest and fake and very Karl Rove; how can the DNC even consider such a plan?”
My response: why waste time focusing on the Negative Nellie view? Let’s look forward and focus on the more positive, half-full view.
Winning is what matters. If one has to drop a few principles on the battlefield, so be it. There’s no law stopping anyone from scouring the war-torn landscape, after the battle is over, in a quest to reunite with said principles.
Sure, the thousands of bloody corpses strewn about may pose obstacles, but they are minor. My only hope is that our leaders will show signs of due care and respect when shoving the carcases out of their way.
Just trust me: the DNC’s new Furfurp is a fine plan. The only way it could be foiled is if three things happen:
1) if the Republicans discover the true nature of the Furfurp,
2) if the Republicans squawk about the Furfurp to the media, and
3) if the media diligently gives coverage to the Republicans’ objections.

I like the first one because it looks sharp and crisp at first glance. It also has the blue, red bit like Hillary’s placard. Perhaps you can do a white outline of the PUMA to make the image really pop out.
CNN reports that Obama is meeting with Hillary, so he can exhibit his control of the DNC and the Democratic Party. It is reported that Obama will be setting Hillary straight on her role in his campaign for the Office of the Presidency. Obama’s $$$$ have had the DNC in a dizzy haze for months – thinking they need to back this guy. It is obvious that the DNC has drank the Obama koolaid as we saw at the RBC meeting on Saturday.
Parental control on CNN and MSNBC is recommended for all those who do not want to listen to the ongoing biased coverage in favor of diminishing Hillary’s role with the Democratic Party. I find it interesting that the Republican and the far left punditry is aimed at not offering Hillary the V.P. spot. Wow, something they all agree on.

What about raising money for a 30 second video of clips of all the misogynistic remarks the MSM made about Hillary. Indyrobin, who used to be at TM, made a great one that got some audio play on NPR and was featured on Nightline- it’s on YOUTUBE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcdnlNZg2iM.
It’s over 9 minutes long – but maybe she would make a 30 or 60 second version – just a stream of comments like “witch” “she-devil”, “only a candidate because her husband cheated on her”, etc. And there are plenty of new ones – like primary night when one fellow on MSNBC said Hillarys had her matronly arms a’ flappin’.
Maybe WomenCount pac would hook up with PUMA to help pay airtime for a spot. Is that allowed – 2 or more pacs hooking up for a project?
Anyway, it wouldn’t need to run very many times – the airing of it would cause enough controversy to get free time on the very news shows that made the sexist comments! PERFECT PAYBACK!

SusyT & Shortermer, Yeah, 1.5 votes between the 3 of us. I guess as Florida residents we should consider ourselves privileged that our votes count at all, although as women (I hope I’m not making incorrect assumptions about gender) I guess we still only “count” as half-human.
Given their position on Roe vs. Wade, I would have expected the GOP to be more likely than the DNC to take the vote away from women; is that what we have to look forward to next? Sorry about the cynicism–it’s 3 a.m. and I can’t sleep because I am so p!$$ed off; it helps to vent.
Just a suggestion but I would love to go after the Superdelegates who either didn’t support their constituents (Kerry, Rockefeller, Lautenberg etc.) or those who conveniently flipped in order to placate the DNC (Mondale, Boxer, Waters). I’m appalled that women like Maxine Waters and Barbara Boxer could claim ‘will of the people’ over and over again only to change their votes when the DNC told them to this week.

There is power in numbers — to defeat this new Obama party and rescue the former democratic party, we will need to harnass the numbers. How do we do this?

I feel hollow and enraged by what transpired Tuesday. Obama is slick. He painted himself as a changer but he is the same politician. He plays games, he flip-flops, he has his people do the damage while trying to stay above the fray.

I truly think that would be more of a slap in the face to the Dems and BO than voting for JM. It will show that we don’t agree with their candidate and we want and will get OUR candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I have too many thoughts running around in my head so I apologize if my post isn’t well-thought out. I’m so glad to find a home with intelligent, passionate and respectful like-minded people who can see truly what is going on in American politics.

Be careful about write-ins. In most states, write-ins are bundled and counted toward the ‘Party Sponsored’ candidate. The goal is to prevent Obama from winning the WH. A vote for McCain is the only way to assure it. Just hold your nose and thank goodness he’s a moderate.

I may have started this conversattion but i honestly do not know where to go from here. Some help from some people who have organized before and a website that links to other major web sites would be a great plus. I am tired of sitting around watching our Constitution get shredded right before our eyes and doing nothing to stop it. I have no problem speaking out loud and clear but i need the best forum we can find in order to be heard the loudest as to attract litterally millions of people to Denver. We CANNOT settle for a few thousand or even 100,000 there must be millions of people in order to make our voices heard and to be taken seriously and we only have 80 days folks. In 80 days its all over. Our chance is gone. That is when all of the media is going to be focused on the Democratic leadership and we must create a tidal wave of support for Hillary that will be heard around the world on everyones radio and television. 100,000 people will be like swatting at the jolly green giant with a cap gun folks. This has got to be REAL and we dont have much time. I am willing to hear any suggestions that anyone has and ANY help is appreciated.

I just got a password through my e-mail for PUMA, but when I tried to use it the message I received was “wrong password for this username-do you want to use other password for this username” (or something like that). I clicked ok and leave a comment popped up. Now for the true test-click submit.
But first a message-it is so good to be part of the “Hillary” movement. I counted two other “Hillary” movement blogs. I know the technology is part of what is happening, but the wanting Hillary for president is the impetus. I never speak face to face with another Hillary supporter, yet we come together-here and at other Hillary blogs, too. What is happening is so – what?-almost a sixth sense of knowing sharing something important that grew since she declared her candidacy. And transcended Obama’s announcement that he is the Democratic candidate. And keeps on growing. What will the end be? Hillary as POTUS?

Many years ago, a great hitter named Paul Waner was nearing the end of his long career. He entered a ballgame with 2,999 hits — one hit away from the landmark total of 3,000, which so many hitters want to reach, but which relatively few actually do attain.
Waner hit a ball that the fielder did not handle cleanly but the official scorer called it a hit, making it Waner’s 3,000th. Paul Waner then sent word to the official scorer that he did not want that questionable hit to be the one that put him over the top. The official scorer reversed himself and called it an error. Later Paul Waner got a clean hit for number 3,000.
What reminded me of this is the great fervor that many seem to feel over the prospect of the first black President of the United States.
No doubt it is only a matter of time before there is a black president, just as it was only a matter of time before Paul Waner got his 3,000th hit. The issue is whether we want to reach that landmark so badly that we are willing to overlook how questionably that landmark is reached.
Paul Waner had too much pride to accept a scratch hit. Choosing a President of the United States is a lot more momentous than a baseball record. We the voters need to have far more concern about who we put in that office that holds the destiny of a nation and of generations yet unborn.
There is no reason why someone as arrogant, foolishly clever and ultimately dangerous as Barack Obama should become president — especially not at a time when the threat of international terrorists with nuclear weapons looms over 300 million Americans.
Many people seem to regard elections as occasions for venting emotions, like cheering for your favorite team or choosing a Homecoming Queen.
The three leading candidates for their party’s nomination are being discussed in terms of their demographics — race, sex and age — as if that is what the job is about.
One of the painful aspects of studying great catastrophes of the past is discovering how many times people were preoccupied with trivialities when they were teetering on the edge of doom. The demographics of the presidency are far less important than the momentous weight of responsibility that office carries.
Just the power to nominate federal judges to trial courts and appellate courts across the country, including the Supreme Court, can have an enormous impact for decades to come. There is no point feeling outraged by things done by federal judges, if you vote on the basis of emotion for those who appoint them.
Barack Obama has already indicated that he wants judges who make social policy instead of just applying the law. He has already tried to stop young violent criminals from being tried as adults.
Although Senator Obama has presented himself as the candidate of new things — using the mantra of ‘change’ endlessly — the cold fact is that virtually everything he has said about domestic policy is straight out of the 1960s and virtually everything he says about foreign policy is straight out of the 1930s.
Protecting criminals, attacking business, increasing government spending, promoting a sense of envy and grievance, raising taxes on people who are productive and subsidizing those who are not — all this is a re-run of the 1960s.
We paid a terrible price for such 1960s notions in the years that followed, in the form of soaring crime rates, double-digit inflation and double-digit unemployment. During the 1960s, ghettoes across the countries were ravaged by riots from which many have not fully recovered to this day.
The violence and destruction were concentrated not where there was the greatest poverty or injustice but where there were the most liberal politicians, promoting grievances and hamstringing the police.
Internationally, the approach that Senator Obama proposes — including the media magic of meetings between heads of state — was tried during the 1930s. That approach, in the name of peace, is what led to the most catastrophic war in human history.
Everything seems new to those too young to remember the old and too ignorant of history to have heard about it.
There is something seriously wrong in this country when our trusted Legislators can break Federal law and the are not brought up on charges but instead the people are penalized yet, a person who doesnt mow his lawn often enough in Ohio can be sent to jail. The people in power know for a fact that we have gotten to lazy and to tired to actually physically stand up for change and they count upon our lack of willingness to change things, to make laws that line their pockets with more money and further take away our rights to do anything about it. My question to EVERY American who reads this is when exactly are we going to finally be angered enough by those in power dictating policy , to actually get up off of our collective asses physically and go do something about it. Sure we can make phone calls. The dont care. We can blog on line like i am doing now. Again they don’t care. However if 18 million people were to show up on the door step of the Democratic National Convention in August they would soil themselves. You want things to change Get up and go to Denver if you don’t it’s your fault that we all have to live like this.

Obama sure took those 4 delegates that he didn’t earn in Michigan didnt he. That is only one of many reasons i could NEVER vote for him and i will NEVER trust him. This entire election process has been, forgive my pun, an Obamination litterally. He has been shoved down our throats contrary to all Constitutional law and while i believe that elegant speaking was necessary to this point, to me, speaking elegantly after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor would not have been appropriate and it is no longer appropriate here either. As a 20 year Democratic voter, I am writing to request that you reconsider your endorsement of Senator Obama in August at the convention.
This election comes down to who is most electable in November, and Senator Clinton holds the two cards that count: she has more than enough GUARANTEED Electoral College votes to win in November. Senator Obama does not. Her support base is composed of repeat, committed voters that you can count on in the Fall. His are new, young, and overscheduled, not as committed to getting to the polls.
I also wanted to dispel any notion you may have that ‘we’ will support Senator Obama in the Fall. If Senator Clinton is not the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States, we, 17 million strong, will vote for John McCain. We are not going to ‘fall in line’, even if Hillary asks us to or if she is on the ticket. We support her vision of our American future. We do not support the vision of America through the eyes of Barak Obama. We will choose McCain because he is a moderate conservative that has sacrificed for our beloved country and is not afraid to go against the grain of his party for what he believes in. We are not concerned about Roe v. Wade because a Democratic Congress can stop any movement to overturn the verdict. A Democratic Congress will also ensure that McCain’s power will be limited for his four short years of office. We will not put a Junior Senator with less than one year of experience in the Senate who has questionable connections and poses a threat to 60 years of tolerance in the most powerful position on Earth – President of the United States. In summation, we feel that Barak Obama poses a much bigger threat to this country than John McCain.
We also want our democracy back – ‘of the people, by the people, for the people’. We want transparent, simplified and condensed primaries that are accessible in all ways to ALL who are eligible to participate. One person, one vote. We are prepared to fight for reform, peacefully and legally. We are gathering and organizing. Mr. Dean has received hundreds if not thousands of shredded voter cards and party change request forms already. McCain is seeing a huge increase in registrations on his site. We will work to ensure McCain’s success and the removal of all elected officials who played a part in this charade. We will make it our mission to find out who voted against their district’s and constituent’s choice and endorsed the opposite candidate. We will begin working on Hillary ‘12, as independent voters. A question was just posed (on the Hillary board) at to the overall purpose of PUMA.
Wanting to share it with you and open it up for discussion, this is my take:
I would contend that PUMA — for at least June through November — exists primarly to prevent Barack Obama from winning the White House in 2008.
After November — given a McCain victory — I would contend that PUMA would strive to reform and rebuild the Democratic Party to be the party that America had *thought* it was voting into power in 2006.
Or — given an Obama victory — I would contend that PUMA would strive to become a 3rd Party that would draw in Centrists, Moderates, Independents, Conservative Democrats, and Liberal Republicans… with Election Reform at the top of its platform.
We must not grow weak over the coming months and vote for Obama in the end. MAKE A STATEMENT. The DNC a/k/a the “Communists” cannot and should not be allowed to make our decisions for us. This election season has been distasteful and shameful. Send a message LOUD & CLEAR to the Democratic Party in November. We will not fall in line….this is not a communist country and you will not make our decisions and expect us to sit down & shut up about it.
As for the women….LETS START A MOVEMENT! They think the Feminist movement in the 60s & 70s was big….wait til they get a load of US!!! Its time to prove we are NOT second class citizens!!! We need to unite and organize. We need a MILLION WOMAN MARCH.

I went to a NOW meeting tonight. All they wanted to do, basically, is complain. I introduced the site and nobody gobbled it up. Maybe, I presented it too agressively…but that’s little old me…right in your face.
We need to write those letters, so we are talking in numbers.
We need to donate whatever we can.
